I think you're right, no need for a flashy menu. I don't like the white squares that appear while loading the page. I'm changing the menu to a regular drop down menu. I'll try to fit all in the screen. If I can't, you solution is the best one. Gonna think of some clever interface for this. Boom!

good production! psychedelic fullon base, some acid fx over... interesting sounds, but overall a bit repetitive IMO, you could add some more spice to it with fresh sounds/fx the ending with the goa-ish sound is interesting! boom and good luck!

i'm considering building the inside comunication platform in a next stage, with artist login/password. I prefer an inside forum for the artists than a public one, we have a lot of those already

I'm familiar with CSS. I've been programming in .NET lately and now i'm coming back to html, php, css, xml, mysql etc. I started the site with the goal of testing the php / mysql engine, ensuring that the connections with the database are ok, in order to insert artist's info and have suficient info to test the site design. I'm now going back and create the CSS for the site and make the needed changes. 1 Kb for each button, no big deal i just don't like the white rectangle that apears while loading the page though... indeed, valid point. Areas are growing and the drop down menu should be a good solution. because i'm not keen in making scrolable pages, i prefer to fit all content in the 1024x768 view... and so it would be dificult to present the VAs in a good manner... So i think the best solution is to put links in the artist page to releases / demos and access this way the music section of the artist page, similar but with track and VA links instead of information... lots of space for future releases boom! thanks very much for your input

indeed i'm hard-coding for now, creating things, and then i'll create the CSS of the layout properties to guide the whole site

yes, is a good idea. i'm thinking of creating a link in the artists page, like "artist releases", that would jump to other artist page where the links to the released material (va, album, tracks) would be, along with a player (this player can be central or individual)

I started the design phase, and created some tables in the database for testing. For the artists that are interested in being present it the site database, the "input form" will be like this: Project Name: Short Desc: (ex: melodic fullon trance project) Country: Intro (presentation of members): [text up to 512 chars] Bio (short story/definition of project): [text up to 512 chars] Project Image: URL of image or real image (max size: 300x200 resolution:72) email: website: phone number: tag1: tag2: tag3: (ex: psy, dark, goa, melodic, experimental, ethnic, chillout, etc) --- website and phone number are optional. tag2 and tag3 are optional too. As i need some real data to test the database and to create pages, feel free to send me this form with your data by email, attach the photo if you like. my email is feromonat at gmail.com I'll be inserting this info on the database to be able to work on it in the weekend. I want some ideas for the name of the site/tribe/collective/community/portal/gate! Bring them on! Same here! Very good psychedelic trance, but clipping from too much gain at the mixer got this problem with some lives / djs... but never too bad (ear problems? )
