Looking for artists and netlabels :)
Xamanist replied to Xamanist's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
as for the sound limits, i don't feel like doing a specialized site, neither to put people's music in a fixed category or box... my idea is to center the site on a concept, close either to "psychedelic" , "entheogenic" or "spiritual" this way, every piece of music that has this "spirit", "psychedelia" or "entheogenic" feeling is welcome! Like Chillout, Ambient, Ethnic, Travel, Goa, Dark, Psy-fullon, Psy-progressive and maybe other electronic/crossover genres of course we could attach some tags like "goa","psy","dark"... to the name of a project to help the navigator in finding what he wants... i'll try to find the best interface for it! what do you think about it? I'm working on the concept, any help is apreciated too... something that is central to our view, music and way of life boom -

thanks for the reply man! good info! Unfortunately i cannot read polish If i understood, that's 25 euros/year, quite cheap! I would be interested in buying one account, for my personal use and to share with this project. It would be wonderful for a start scenario. If you help me understanding what to do, i would buy it in the beginning of next month This way we could provide hosting for tracks of people that don't have ways to host them by themselves -

Looking for artists and netlabels :)

Boom! I have been thinking very seriously about creating and managing a website / database of artists and netlabels, a place where you could meet the sound, the visuals and the people that love their art over money and that are breaking paradigms and market rules As i'm still thinking on it, i apreciate every contribution to the idea. I'm a web programmer / designer so I can build the thing up fast and good, and I can host the site too, as long as tracks can be hosted elsewhere and linked by the site. My main idea is to increase exposure of the good artists that are all around trying to be noticed, and started with all this healthy VA dynamic that is being created by the people here in the forum and elsewhere... as a producer i would like this works to be visible to all, and with one portal / gate managing and presenting all the info it would be very beneficial for all I think! I start by asking all the VA-participating artists if they like the idea of having and artist profile in this "portal", and I ask the netlabel managers if they would like extra promotion of their VAs and all info around their netlabels there too! No f** money around this idea, as an artist i want to promote myself and others showing what we can do and spreading the word. I also would very much like to have profiles of visual artists in various genres! with info and links to their own work / portfolio. I think with a respectful bunch of artists and some quality-sounding free-releases we could catch some attention from the psychedelic worldwide community boom -
i think you have created a good intro ambient... but things keep being pretty well it the same stage... some anxiety created, but didn't flow anywhere... my spirit was waiting for some deeper manifestation of the energy created by the intro lead, but it never got to explode or open to a new scenary. I must say that the melodic textures of both tracks are excelent, but seems to me that bass and rythm are under-developed for its potential! IMO and with respect looking forward to ear more of this kind of spiritual ambient boom

Good work Chatnik! 10x for the effort It could be useful to us all to have a webpage presenting the VA and the link to the RAR file... All of us could be better promoted... Can you do it? If you can't, i can do it, as long as Cybernetika keeps hosting the RAR file! boom

you can go by train from Sevilla to Badajoz... then you'll have to find a way to cross the border (almost shure there are busses from Badajoz to portuguese cities like Elvas, if i find info i'll post here) then you catch a train to Castelo Branco, and then a bus to Idanha-a-nova spanish trains: http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html portuguese trains: http://www.cp.pt/ Boom!

Hi Cosmic! Swan X-1 is a portuguese psytrance liveact Serguei is my nickname, I'm really Sérgio so: Swan X-1 - White magik /PORTUGAL is the correct line! Info / Bio of Swan X-1: Swan X-1 began in 2005, when friends Serguei and Syuls'nak3 decided to join efforts and created this live trance project, aiming to join live instruments with electronic compositions in a live psychedelic voyage. Serguei plays guitar, synths and produces his own music on a wide variety of styles for a long time. He has been into gothic, sonic, industrial, metal and rock projects as composer and musician. He met trance music at Boom Festival 2000, was taken strongly by the experience and started producing trance and other electronic genres since then. Syuls'nak3 plays drums, synths, guitar and is in the musical scene since childhood. He played in rock, metal, gothic and other type of bands as a drummer. He is a sound engineer since the end of the 90's and has been working in countless concerts, festivals and events. He is in the portuguese trance scene since 1999 as a DJ, and started producing his own chill-out and trance tracks in 2002. Serguei and Syuls'nak3 also work together in Ra.in chill-out project and in Jazzu electro-organic band. Boom! -

Things to bring to BOOMtugal
Xamanist replied to Alex604's topic in General Party & Travel Talk (Worldwide)
i don't trust their water for drinking. Only if i'm almost dying bring shades and structure to build them up. you must be very fast entering boom (impossible) or else trees/shades are taken and leveled grounds too (leaving you the 45º style of ground) as for food, in the village everything is very very cheap. you can go there and buy cheaper food. Inside Boom standard meal/dish costs 3-4 booms... drinks 1,5 or 2 booms -
Well... hum... In the south of Portugal, Algarve, you're in the most comercial part of the country... Lots of beaches, hotels, bars, restaurants, people, etc... If you like that sh*t and prices made for foreigners, go for it, but i wouldn't! If you're into historical / natural beautiful places, i can help you with that, giving you places to visit and pictures of them You could check them going from place to place, in the direction of the festival... Want that? boom
-
sorry, site is temporarily down... that's the info you need i'm not a specialist about Spain... if you get to Idanha-a-Nova, just catch a bus or a taxi to the BoomPlace... From Castelo Branco you have to go to Idanha-a-nova first. Good trip and good vibes for you!!!!!!!!!!!! BooM!!!!!!!!
