You coul try some older Dark Nebula stuff. In particular the tracks "Structural Failure" or "Cyber Cult" ... these are huge. More in the full-on area, but also likeable should be Shift - Excession. Great album. Then there is Four Carry Nuts, side project of Tim Schuldt who you should know. Great Psy (a little bit of Dark Soho influence), with a goth/industrial feeling. Some tracks are quite melodic. Recommended. Insider tip: Fighter Project - Coma S.S. (!) ..promo track. You could find it on P2P networks. Oh, before I forget: Vegetal - Free Thinkers are Dangerous (the track) ... a massive majestic dark uplifting tune. Awesome. Psyfactor - Good and Evil also comes to mind. Manibus - Escape is another album I quite enjoyed. Very cold and "icy" atmosphere, good melodies, overall quite techy. Humm, most other good stuff has been mentioned already. But I need to say again you must try Psykovsky - Debut. It's pure dementia and pure genius in one. One guy at the reviews section said it sounds like Pleiadians played backwards, that is very true. Hehe, and some self promotion from me too. I think my style quite fits your description. So I think it wouldnt hurt if you check out my promo album here: http://www.cybernetika.de/cybernetika_-_promo_1_2006.rar

It's sounding good, funky stuff ... I'm happy about the good submissions we're getting here. I'm almost sure the mix is gonna be killargh Lauryn: I think I'll put the tracks together in a zip, and then upload them for all those who want to have a go at mixing. -

Don't worry, there will only be a very slight quality loss. I did mp3 mixing several times and the sound was good enough -

The Psynews Mix Project
Cybernetika replied to Cybernetika's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Yo gaffel. The mix will be in various tempos. I am thinking about something more uptempo but it depends on the tunes you submit. Most likely there will be different sections with changing BPMs. There are all subgenres of Psy allowed as long as it deserves the term Psychedelic Trance ... you can also submit psy-chillout for an intro, but danceable tracks are preferred! -
Hey, I just had this idea, why not make a mix of some good tracks by the Psynews members? I always like to listen to mixes, because I think fluent transitions and an overall concept are telling a nice story and take you on a better trip than just single tracks. Thats why I am planning this "mix project" where creative music making Psynews members can get their tracks in a mix together with other users. I did the same thing some months ago on tranceaddict and it turned out extremely well so I am almost sure you will like this one too. how it basically works: Easy. If you are a Psynews user you can submit a selfmade tune. If your track matches the criteria which I will specify below, it will be included in the mix. After the end of a set deadline, I will start mixing the tracks you have submit. In the end there will be a long DJ mix (between 1 and 2 hours) available for download from my server so that you all can enjoy it. >>submission rules << 1. you must be a Psynews member with at least 20 posts to contribute a track. 2. submissions should be at least 192kbps and mp3 format, the mix will be in 192kbps as well. 3. The music you submit should be Psychedelic Trance in any form. You can also submit a psy-chill track for examlpe as intro/outro, but danceable stuff is preferred. Remember... ... you dont need to produce a track exclusively for this mix project, you can submit any of your tracks, no matter how old they are. ... there will be some kind of preselection, but I only sort out tracks that are not mixable. I will ask you to change the track a little and you can try again. ... you can also submit a second or even a third track, but if there are many submissions coming, first tracks will be preferred because everyone should get their fair chance ... I try to include all tracks in almost full length. Only if needed I might eventually shorten the tracks a little. ... The mix should be 1 to 2 hours long, I'd be pretty happy with 20 submissions, but I will also accept more (and make the mix longer) if needed. ... I will start mixing at the end of the deadline. If there is demand for prolonging the deadline, I will do so. ... this is - of course - a fun project and no one of us will get any money with this. But its a nice opportunity for Psynewsers to get their track in a mix, eventually some promotion How to submit Really easy. Just upload the track you want to submit onto a webspace or to some free file hosting system like rapidshare.de or yousendit.com or megaupload.com. Then post the download link to the track in this thread or send me a PM with the link. This is just for me getting your track. Deadline: October 7th tunes accepted so far: Chatnik - Blood Sucker Electromonk - The Unnatural Power Phobium - Chronol Energy Phazur - Bonzai Veracohr - The Karaethon Cycle (Tarmon Gaidon Version) Eskeemo Knights aka tekk - Travelling OOOD - Freon (1998 First Time Lucky Mix) Tripmotor - Rupture of Plane Adamantia - Falcon tunes in reserve Phazur - Play with the Noise You can also contribute other stuff To enhance the presentation, if someone could do a small artwork for this and/or a small presentation site, that would be killargh. If you want to submit a tune or have questions, go ahead and post Remember: submissions should be at least 192kbps mp3.

Very nice initiative bro I'd love to contribute something but I dont know if my music can be considered spiritual... still, all the best wishes for your project!

[Dark Psy Set]Mixed by Cybernetika - WarpCore III
Cybernetika replied to Cybernetika's topic in Free Music Promotion
Thanks guys. I am really glad here are people who feel this because... it may sound cheap and cheesy... but this one is really coming from my heart. I tell you, it's like a soundtrack to whats going on in my mind very often. Interstellar battles, dark space, alien technology, cyberspace. You get the idea. I am blessed with a good imagination, but its hard for me to put it into words. That's why I'm not a writer. It's much easier for me to put it into music. This is meant to be my personal soundtrack. Thanks so much for anyone listening. -
