Hi, once again a "looking for.." topic. This time I want some recommendations for Dark "Forest" Psytrance/Goa. Of course I know Ka-Sol and the Schlabbaduerst Comps which are the absolute reference for this style. I think stuff like Derango also fits this description... But I want more! I am preparing a pure forest trance mix so you all will be able to profit from some good suggestions Thanks!

Good Comp. Not the best but its definately among the good. Faves are #4 and #7.. in fact, the Candy Power track is really growing on me.

Dont know "Angel"? "I wanna be your angel/ ladadee - oheho" .. that melody is burnt in my brain although I always hated it

Scary: Xenomorph - Shaari Avadon ... I once listened to this track while I took a walk through the forest. It was very dark and lonely. I've never been so scared of music ever before and listening to this now still sends shivers down my spine. Loneliness: Synthaik - Arcturus. Very spacey, dark Psy/tech track with a really deep ambience. It gives me the feeling of being completely alone in cosmos, with only hostility around me. feeling "one with the universe": I think that has to be Pleiadians - IFO. This album makes me float through the infinity of space. Love: Shpongle - Around the World in a Tea Daze (Ott Rmx) ... this one has a very personal connection to me and my love to the most special girl. Confusion: Psykovsky - Debut ... Its a dark, trippy album with some great sounds, but it always completely confuses me. I still dont know what I should think about it. Its very fascinating in a way but at the same time its frustrating... I dont feel I really got the "message" of it. All the time I listen to it, it makes me think a lot and it always leaves me some questions I cant seem to answer. Hope: Front Line Assembly - Insolence ... I dont know what makes this track so hopeful to me, in fact it is quite dark with its harmonies and sounds, but at the same time there is this awesome chorus that somehow gives me hope, despite the really sad lyrics. Euphoria: Hallucinogen - Space Pussy ... again I cant really tell why but probably its the awesome arrangement of sounds that makes me almost freak out every time. "everything makes sense now" (dont know how that could be explained better): Front Line Assembly - Existance ... Another standout track from the totally awesome 11/10 album "Epitaph". When listening to this track, all fears seem to be gone, and I forget all torturing existencial/philosophical questions I cant ever find an answer to. Again strange, that track might seem kinda dark and cold but somehow I feel very safe and courageous with it.

There is already a thread about this.. "sad period for psy artists" or something like that is its name... that one is getting very stupid after a while however IMO. apparently Zolod commited suicide, dont know for what reasons. so I just write down my R.I.P. here.

The input of a vocoder consists of a so called "carrier" and a "modulator". The modulator usually modulates the carrier input here. For example, a noise waveform could give a voice a whispering, rough character. There are also many other cool effects you can do on "clean" vocals with a vocoder. If you know Front Line Assembly, they for example used it quite often. Just listen to their tracks "liquid seperation" or "insolence". Hi, this is another new tune from me I just completed. It's a very dark track beween Techno, Psy and Industrial. Stomping and very mechanic but there also should be trippy Psy parts in this. The kinda distorted sound is intentional, to give this a raw industrial sound. I dont feel like this kind of tune will be going well along with a too clean and polished style. This sounds like a very good idea to me. But you should really ask every label before putting their releases online. The Underdogs once got a lot of problems when they put something online without permission. That game was very old and sold out but some game company still owning the rights sued them. You should know there is always some greedy bastard just waiting to sue you. Dont put anything online without the explicit agreement of the owner of the rights or you could get into trouble. Sad thing this mostly happens to those with the greatest dedication to the community...
