  1. Suria - Dark Side of the Sun (if this is full on at all, very dark stuff) Lemurians - Secret Message (ale mentioned it) Damage - God Help Use (actually quite simple stuff, but good dancing/stomping your feet to ) Digital Talk - New Age Surf (is this full on? I sometimes have problems categorizing stuff as full on or not) Absolum - Inside the Sphere (again straight in-your-face psy, liking it a lot!) Audialize - Wanted (same as with damage and absolum) Shift - Excession (whoa, awesome album. no generic stuff at all) And of course: Talamasca - Beyond the Mask and Talamasca - Musica Divinorum (2 godlike album releases, the classics of full on so to speak )
  2. I heard the band name, but never checked them out. Now you made me really curious about them Now you gotta check out "Darkspace": http://www.darkcyberspace.com/dark_-1_-1.mp3 http://www.darkcyberspace.com/dark_-1_0.mp3 Psychedelic Black Metal, some kind of Limbonic Art Style, very psychedelic and hypnotic. http://www.darkcyberspace.com
  3. I personally like this album even more than the original Shpongle releases. Especially the Ott Remix of "Around the World in a Tea Daze" is so damn amazing
  4. Thanks. Of course you can do a video. Would be really nice to see some visuals to this track (however I made this tune with the image of a ride on dragon's wings in mind ). Shark is not on the album because I thought it's a different style. Think I'm gonna release these tunes somewhere too And thanks for the mix! Love you too. Loving you all ... great support here -so you really deserved it. Funny thing actually: I put together the tracks for the comp. 3:24 were missing - I added "Earth Signal" and everything fit just perfectly by second. No cutting necessary (though I found out that if you try to burn it in nero, it takes for some reason (even without spaces between tracks) 80:04 or something like that.. so i exceeds cd length. But no prob with nero, just cut the last seconds and evrything is fine Machinery is my personal favorite, heh
  5. Sounds quite good to me. Darker than your usual stuff. It seems a little empty in the upper-mid frequency area. The leads seem a little muffled. It's probably intended, but there could be a little more going on. A little more layers for additional density maybe? Otherwise, it sounds good as always
  6. Windir, awesome! You show good taste. Arntor is my #1 favorite metal album of all times... np: Windir - Svartesmeden og Ludamyrstrollet R.I.P. Valvar! Fucking sad Windir is gone
  7. Not all MOS stuff is minimal, but their album "Meter" is pretty much. Very techy stuff. I agree with those who think that "maximal" or "minimal" is determined by the number of layers used. In maximal music, more stuff is happening in the same time, whereas minimal is focused on a certain groove, and a more effective use of sounds.
  8. Great track. Well produced, and damn groovy... nice percs
  9. "Paroxysm" has some nice layerings inside. However you need to improve your bass. Either you make it a lot sharper and sound like a slapped industrial-type bass, or you turn the cutoff knob down and the decay of the bass envelope up. And the guitar could sound better. Apply some FX on it and try to make it sound more "natural". The ending is quite nice in terms of melody layering... But I still think you need more upper frequencies in your synths. Increase the cutoff a little so that they dont sound too muffled. Keep it up!
  10. Listening as I comment... good intro. Kinda spooky, liking that. The tuning FX are nice. 1:00 - I dig those galloping basslines, but I think this one could have even more bottom, maybe. The melody at 2:50 is strange and a little distracting. Maybe that was intended, but I think it could fit a little better in the mix. At 4:00 things get really interesting and psychedelic. Loving that passage, but it's too short in my opinion. 4:30 - Nice percussion. The soundscapes created are quite nice. Good use of pitchbending sounds. I think the track is quite well produced and it has well designed synths. You certainly know what you're doing. However, I still thought that this tune was a little empty, and it is definately lacking drive or groove. I suffest you add another dirty, techy layers of percussion, which will not only fill your mix but you'll also get more groove and drive into your tune.
  11. Noise Unit - Voyeur > Metropolis Records (2005) Tracklist: 1. Illcit dreams 2. Seclusion 3. Surveillance 4. Paranoid 5. Liberation 6. Strapdown 7. Submerged 8. Tighten up 9. Monolith Okay, first of all to all those who expected a review of a new Psytrance dancefloor killer: Don't read further. This is not Goa nor Psy in the closest definition of these genres, but it has a very psychedelic and hypnotic edge. Probably nothing to actually dance to, but definately something to take you on a fantastic trip. Noise Unit are around since more than 16 years now as a side project of Bill Leeb of the legendary Front Line Assembly. Two very good albums, namely "Decoder" and "Drill" have been released under this name, each with a quite unique style between breakbeats, industrial and techno, similar to some of the stuff Front Line Assembly would do, but a little trippier and all instrumental. If you don't know Noise Unit yet, I recommend especially their masterpiece "Drill". For many years, it had been quite silent around these guys, they have obviously been quite busy with the Front Line Assembly and Delerium albums, but now they have reactivated their old project to act out their most experimental side. Noise Unit sound more unique than before, and the excellent drum programming contributes a major part of it. Most tracks are driven by some kind of heavy breakbeat or sometimes DnB-type percussion. Dark, droning or pulsating synths let the sound morph from one state into another. The opener "Illicit Dreams" is an excellent example of mechanic monotony the Noise Unit makes use of. It starts off very calm, and morphs into a very heavy and raw, yet extremely hypnotic groover, which doesn't get boring at all despite its monotony. Things are getting calmer on "Seclusion", which sounds a little like the calmer tunes of Front Line Assembly. Towards the end it becomes even a little anthem with vocoded vocals. After that, "Surveillance" begins symphonic and dark, like a slowly growing threat, until it explodes in a mayhem of harsh, futuristic soundscapes and a ultra-heavy beat, taking you on a nightmarish trip. "Paranoid" is again calmer, but very deep. Ultra-deep billowing monstrous synths surround you - reminiscent of a bath in lava. Again this track contains some whispered vocal fragments, but they make this track actually very scary. And on we go with "Liberation", the probably most accessible track on the album. A ten-ton beat and apocalyptic synths will remind you instantly of Prodigy's "Firestarter" or Cubanate's songs, but this one is much darker and trippier. After such a frontal assault, we're again getting the opportunity to chill out a bit. "Strapdown" is ideal for that purpose. It's an ultra-trippy chillout-track with some sound experiments inside. And now we continue with my personal highlight: "Submerged" starts - like "Surveillance" quite calm, but begins to morph slowly into an apocalyptic groove. Constantly evolving, its ethereal feeling will hypnotize you. Next tune "Tighten Up" will not be the tune I'll listen to most often. It features some sounds the "protagonist" of the album would make. Some kind of disgusting to me, but I admit the shock effect works. The tune itself is not too bad. A little laid back, deep tune with the Noise Unit typical, Industrial "slapped" bass. Now Noise Unit are concluding their album with a 12 1/2 minutes "Monolith" which is quite epic. In a long intro we're again taken on a journey reminiscent of Delerium's early work. The first half of the track is despite its darker melodies quite laid back. However, as introduction to the second half of the track, a robotic voice is talking to us, and then the full energy returns. The last part is harshest breakbeat industrial with ghostly voices inside. I love it! This is damn great stuff. At first listen, I did not find this too good, but when in the right mood, this works excellently. Some of the tracks might appear as fillers, but when listening to the album as a whole, I think they're justified. The pads and the drum-programming are simply fantastic. This album is a very complex and trippy fusion of Delerium's triphop, Front Line Assembly's industrial and Noise Unit's experimental edge. If this sounds interesting to you, I recommend you to take a listen into this piece of art. 9/10
  12. Hi man, now listening as I comment... sounds surprisingly good for your first track. Liking the intro. The bass sounds kinda good. Good psychedelic sounds. Some of them could be improved with a bit of reverb/delay. The whole atmosphere of the tune is nice. The vibe is forest Goa'ish. Great U seem to like harsh and dark synthlines as much as i do. Can't comment on the production quality that much since its only a medium-quality streamed mp3, but to me it sounds kinda good, every element is present, bass is there, hi frequencies too, nice. Like chiragkotak said, its getting a little repetitive in the second half. I think you can still improve the structure a bit. A bit more changes in the second half of the song. Otherwise, agreed that this sounds sweet, in fact great for a first track. Liking your style a lot!
  13. More is better The only minimal stuff I enjoy is MOS, Entropy and Sensient.
  14. Some people suggested that to me because Fruity is kinda limited in mastering. So I think I'm gonna switch to Cubase or something like that for mastering, but I still need the easy interface of Fruity that lets you put down your ideas easily and not get stuck with details too much... So I think I'm gonna route Fruity to Cubase (got to get it first :/) with ReWire to get better mastering results... I know some semi-pro or pro producers that produce this way, and their tunes sound great in terms of mastering. But of course, as always, you have to know what you're doing. You should have good knowledge in EQing, compression, and so on or you can forget about it. Cubase alone wont make it sound better
  15. I voted for "Hard Dark Trance", because I like mainly harder and darker stuff. However, that doesnt mean Hardstyle or any Hardcore-influenced stuff, which I consider quite stupid. Oh well, I love Goa and Psy equally (Psy excluding most full-on), and my secret passion is acid trance... the 303 thing must be divine
  16. Thanks a lot for the comment Deepdrone. Really appreciate it About the industrial thing.. well... you gotta listen to some really fucked up Rythm Noise or Power Electronics or something like that, not the "mainstream" industrial which is often referred to as a mix between electronic and metal... There is harder and noisier Industrial than that... most people would simply classify it as "noise" however ... but the cold, mechanic atmosphere is quite similar to Psytekk's.
  17. Thx Daze and Opium for taking a listen in fact, I'm VERY content with earth signal because its my first non-trance tune that recieved really good responses
  18. Oh, dont worry about the glitches, I always used to listen to completely damaged CDs in my childhood, which were hopelessly stuttering most of the time Shadows of the Fallen Crypt is interesting and more like repetitive Dark Ambient with a beat above. Quite original stuff here I suppose. Very meditative and "ritualic" in a way. The swamps of Doom are too low-end for me, sorry. Like a lowpass filter at 300Hz or something like that Good job, thanks for sharing
  19. Okay, give us more Godless Divine
  20. Hi folks, I reformatted my computer and reorganized my files and guess what - old project files disappeared or were erroneous. Because I reorganized my samples, the project files dont seem to load them anymore. But whatever... This is the beginning of a new era to me (hopefully). I'm giving away the mp3s of tracks I made in the last 4 months or so, before the "catharsis". Heh. ... It's sad that I won't be able to change them and really finalize them anymore, but I already got new ones coming... you can still expect my first "serious" album release (and a secret collab ) So, before these tunes start to rot on my harddisk, I'll give them to you: 80 Minutes of Dark Goa. Some of the stuff you might already know (Genetisis, Silver Blue Aurora, Earth Signal, Starbound), the rest is previously "unreleased". I know some of it needs some fixes here and there, but in general I feel quite content with the tunes. This posting is not so much about getting comments on technical issues, because I cant fix errors anymore. I welcome any feedback of course! My main intention is just to give you some fresh music because you deserve it So here is it: Paralysis 1. Jupiters Realm (10:17) 2. Genetisis (8:01) 3. Machinery (11:11) 4. Eath Signal (3:23) 5. Starbound (12:24) 6. Darconic (11:15) 7. Silver Blue Aurora (12:33) 8. Collective (10:55) Total: 79:59 The link: http://www.cybernetika.de/cybernetika_-_pa...lbum_promo).rar (zipped .rar file) Hope you enjoy it.
  21. I still think that the sound quality of Wasp is quite low. I loved it too because of its possibility to create some nice dark fucked up sounds, but I changed my opinion about it as I got new synths such as Vanguard or z3ta+ that sound simply much more professional. Hmm, maybe you can improve Wasp greatly by adding some good effects to it. I would like to hear some good synths made with wasp. But then again I think I dont have the need to get back to it
  22. Nice, I like this kind of energetic stuff Maybe stuff gets a little over the limits, but I use to push my tunes a little over the limits too. As long as nothing distorts it's fine ... I think this could use some more "warmth", some heavier lower-mid frequencies. Other than that, nice stuff I can't imagine anything to really improve this. Maybe clean up the mix a little. keep it up!
  23. I LOVE that squelchy acid synth. Sounds awesome to me. As for the rest, it's good stuff too, maybe it sounds a bit muffled, like if there was a lowpass filter over everything.. but that could just be my impression because there are no hats etc. Anyway, sounds promising, really looking forward to this one
  24. Heh, didnt know you were making music. Thanks for sharing these The dishwasher track is... eh.. minimal. I think it's far too minimalistic for my taste. Future Child of Bhaal is indeed very interesting. I'd almost call this industrial. Very slow, but this fits the tune perfectly, good one. On the IDM stuff I can't really comment, I'm not so familiar with the genre. But the uncontrollable anger tune is really good, some sweet fucked up sound destructions I like "Days of emptiness" as well. Really good beat! The best tune among these here in my opinion. "Frozen Sun" starts promising too, but it's lacking a properly driving beat. Anyway, I'm not gonna comment on technical qualities because you dont seem to produce anymore, so I just judge the raw material
