  1. Well, there have been lots of people who wanted some project files, so I just said "why not". ..I hope it will help. I know the track is not perfect at all but it should at least show some general arrangement
  2. Wow, thanks for all the comments. Well, this is not really my usual style either but I try to cover as many different variations of Psy as possible ... I just try whatever I feel like ... well about the guitars: It's very difficult to make them deeper without letting them interfere with the bassline. Actually its almost impossible to me to make a psy bassline with some heavy guitars on top without heavy interferences. Any suggestions?
  3. Here is my "Cubic Mass" Project Files + Sampleset. You have to get the VSTPlugins yourself, but I also put most of the samples as .wav files so if youre missing a particular plugin you can work with all the sounds http://www.cybernetika.de/cubic_mass_sampleset.rar
  4. Thanks Manuser ... any more feedback?
  5. Awesome mix. 33:30 makes me totally freak out Yeah, nice stuff.
  6. Heya, I just made a new track. I just played around a bit with ReFX Slayer 2 and out came this new baby called "Icestorms" It features some roaring heavy metal guitars, dark leads and a groovy bassline and percussion. Ah, before I tell too much, you better listen yourself Title: Icestorms BPM: 144 Length: 7:00 min Bitrate: 192 kbps Filesize: ~10 MB. The link: Download Cybernetika - Icestorms Enjoy, and please leave me some feedback. I really appreciate that (edit: link fixed .. edit²: please ignore that I posted this in the wrong forum, I got used to it )
  7. Thanks a lot for your comments guys, really appreciate that
  8. Commenting as I listen... Good intro, really well introduces a darker atmosphere. The kick distorts, you hear the distorting noise? Thats probably a result of the kick exceeding the limits. I often have the problem of things getting distorted when you boost them a bit. Good EQing and monitoring is the key then. 2:00 - now that's an awesome break, cool pads. I think your hihats should be more dominant. You need more upper frequencies. Some Psyfactor-ish harsh synthlines for example? Your choice. I think the break is too long and theres not really a big climax towards the end. Hmm, I think the atmosphere and the pads were great. The bass was nice too, but I still think its lacking some elements. Keep it up
  9. Nice track to start a mix. Good Psytars and haunting Industrial soundscapes... nice transition to the next one. Dark Heavy Metal Trance at its best, heh. Then comes Terminator, one of my personal faves. Another very dark and noisy tune, loving this heavy style. Cant fault the mixing at all, very fluent transitions all in all. See what's coming now, ah, "Maniac Police", more high energy stompers like this one please. Psychotic Micro is perfectly put in that place (IMO). Again hardly noticed the transition to the next tune, from one of my fave comps "hammering the gates of soul", and its getting even better.. total noise mayhem from "Alien FM", another one of my faves. So all in all it was a very good ride, sir
  10. Looks awesome. I always need some Dark Psy mixes ... d/loading now
  11. Thanks to you all. However I was referring to "classic" non-commercial netlabels that host some good Psy music without financial interest. The biggest advantage for a musician is probably that they get more visits than private pages so you got a better promotion.
  12. Damn, I want this <3 I'll support the hype and keep on maniacally running round in circles screaming "DERANGO!" Seriously, it's probably my #1 anticipated release.
  13. WHEN???
  14. Do you know any good weblabels that also offer Goa or Psy for download? I'd also be happy with Industrial or Electronica. Maybe I want to release something on a weblabel but I cant find good ones anywhere... so thanks in advance.
  15. Heh yeah right, its too fast to really dance to it, but its really nice when listening to it. And its good to see Goa lives on in another form That sample I dont want to dance to either .. weeird, this is some more Japanese psy I bet ... the bassline sucks, but the rest is terrific
  16. If its only pitching up I wonder why Goa artists havent invented this earlier ... I dont think its only pitching- the songs are more energetic too. That guy has quite his unique style and I think for open minded people this might be worth a listen
  17. Oh lucky you Even though I still think that its a bit too fast to dance to I'd really want to see him live. His style is definately unique and a lot trippier than other so called Hardcore.
  18. Some time ago I've gotten into Finnish Freeform, a pretty new style which combines hardcore's speed and the trippiness of psychedelic music and adds some trancecore elements. pretty interesting style, I recommend you check out the artists Pain on Creation, Carbon Based, DJ RX and Alek Szahala if youre interested in this. Now I just went onto Alek's site to check if there are any new tracks for download, and yay, there are plenty. I loaded "Dryad Machine" and "Rebirth of Maruuk". And THEY ARE GOA! Well, actually a lot faster and harder, but also very psychedelic and the melodies are totally goatic. Awesome! Rebirth of Maruuk blows me away. Okay, go to this site: http://alek.szahala.com/ Click on Downloads and get "The Rebirth of Maruuk" as well as "Dryad Machine". Some of the other tunes are quite good too. Unfortunately, the quality is low (64kbps), but I am still enjoying it a LOT. Now is this one possible future of Goa? What do you think of it? I need more of this freeform Goa!
  19. well theres http://www.soundclick.com ... but I dont like it that much. I have no personal experience with http://www.dance-industries.com/ ... but people say its very good, and the servers are quite fast compared to soundclick.
  20. This is simply the best minimal Psy album since Entropy - The Second Law of Thermodynamics. Awesome shit!
  21. Thanks a lot for the reply! So you mean it needs more interchange? Maybe a bit too long, heh.
  22. that's a great idea. I'd support this 100%. But unfortunately there doesnt happen much about the contest... I hope there will be one any time.
  23. Okay, I was actually referring to the cheezy melodic trance which often follows a basic formula. Long buildup, breakdown, supersaw climax. (actually veeery boring if you ask me)... unfortunately, same goes for most full-on. There is a clear formula new producers can stick to which almost promises "success". I dont mean commercial success by that, but it is much easier to make an "ok" sounding track. Of course this doesnt apply for any more complex Psy, I found especially Dark Psy to be very unconventional and some with some amazing "song writing". And of course there is also atmospheric stuff. I am not referring to Psy that much because it doesnt have the limitations many producers experience in "generic" trance. Although there are of course formulas in Metal, too, I still state that Metal is usually less formulaic and more spontaneous. Trance simply doesnt have the rythmic complexity of Metal, you just dont have to work with tempo and pattern changes all the time for example. And of course your right about the mastering thing. It's some kind of selection because so many producers come up with good, danceable trance so that you need another factor to determine skill.
  24. Thanks Well, apparently it will be a small label by a friend who got everything under construction. Dont expect it to happen before end of the year
