without doubt, its Terminator - KFSBK on Submarine: 4:40 onward.

Thanks for the tips, while I like tech-trance a lot, and there are some great progressive tracks in atmosphere, but usually they are a little too slow and minimal for my taste, I prefer more drive and tempo in a trance track. But there sure are some gems I dont know of, will investigate further Great, epic track that one by Krussedull is. I also like that InnerSelf EP a lot. My first thought was this is full on, but this is in fact great great music with a lot of depth. Another artist very high on my "to get" list That second track BLOWS MY MIND. holy shit. Such dense atmosphere! Thank you too, will check out a bit of Sky Technology. Oh, and BlackStarrFinale is nice too, a bit too "bright" maybe to fit my request but still great great music. Now that you are posting in this thread yourself, I can congratulate you on "Is Pause No" which is an incredible piece. By the way, I think we should do a collab sometime, a remix or something.

Thanks for the tip! Asirion - Morning Venus is EPIC, I am listening to that 2 minute sample over and over again. Just for this one I must have this compilation btw. you got mail

I'm with you, I'm gonna ignore that guy until he finally releases his psy polka. I don't think it is any harder to make dark Goa than lighter Goa. You are probably right that a lot has moved to DarkPsy, it is more extreme and maybe can get a little more energetic on the dance floor. Still, what I'm always concerned about is atmosphere, in my opinion a track needs to create a certain atmosphere, tell a story, convey an emotion and have memorable elements (usually some sort of melody), and thats where Dark Goa still shines IMO. dude, that one gets the jackpot, amazing track! Well thank you, but I'd like to see some likeminded artists having a similar idea of how "the perfect style of Goa/Psy" is supposed to sound.

Sorry. For you, the question is: I was just wondering... is there any "dark" music? When I listen to most so called music, it just seems a little too fluffy, too perfect and clean to me... exact requests give you exact answers
-
Those work too ... again maybe a bit too much on the bright side, but still closer to what I want than the stuff I've heard for the past years Again have to check further, maybe theres really not much dark material, but few is better than none.
-
Did a quick check on the other stuff: KURO - Zombie Family: Got it, love it People Walk Funny: seems like a good compilation, did not yet discover a standout track but will see. Kiriyama: Now that sounds indeed promising, maybe seems also a bit more Forest Darkpsy than Goa but definitely something to look out for. E-Mantra: seems a little darker but still not dark enough for me > A lot of stuff to further check out

Thanks for the fast suggestions so far, keep them coming. I just did a quick youtube check on the Erta Ale compilation and fuck me, GoaMech - Synthesized Not Yet is an incredible track, this comes very close to what I imagined. Very much like UX, love it.

I was just wondering... is there any "dark" Neo-Goa? When I listen to most so called Neogoa, it just seems a little too fluffy, too perfect and clean to me... I don't know, its hard to decribe. It's just that most of the NeoGoa-movement seems to revive the highly melodic, bright style that acts like Dimension 5, Astral Projection, Pleiadians, and the likes. Take Filteria, he's a super talented artist but his music is just a little bit too much fluffy to me. It's not that I dislike this music, but it's not really moving me 100% either. What I really miss however is a reminiscence to harder, darker and deeper Goa. I particularly like Darshan, and acts like Tim Schuldt, Cydonia, Toi Doi, X-Dream are artists who still have a special place in my heart. The only new Goa album I've heard that goes in this darker direction is Ka-Sol's Ghost Story (and that one is more on the darkpsy side than the goa side IMO), but I don't know much besides that. Is there anything I missed? Dark Goa from 2005-2011? Spit it out!

Thanks for the tracklist... The Platform tracks are amazing, shame I didnt know about that artist until now. :/
-

This is awesome man, really digging this set. Got a tracklist? I know the first track is Hujaboy, but I have to pass on the rest.

new cybernetika psy tune preview (2011)
Cybernetika replied to Cybernetika's topic in Free Music Promotion
thanks for listening guys live performance... I feel I should do that again. Waiting for the right time -
ummm... no. If she really is "PsyNino", then we have to keep looking. This one exists, has all female parts and makes good music, not really Psytrance though: Tonikom is a great female industrial/electronica artist:

There's PsyNina http://www.discogs.com/artist/Psynina Honestly, at first I was expecting cheesy Morning Trance, but this is more Twilight Psy, with banging percussion and solid production values. This girl definitely knows her technology.

You should definitely check out Cybered. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz36E0LJK78 here are some previews on saikosounds: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/show_artist.asp?artist_id=3015 my faves are "devil and angel" and "silentium universi" I just love that style.

Pandanandi - Psychic Mothers (Rough Mix)
Cybernetika replied to Jason Pandanandi's topic in Free Music Promotion
Shamanix anyone? this comes very close to the old Hallucinogen sound. Closer than anything else I've heard in a long time, and yes, I mean that as a compliment because I know how hard it is to capture that particular sound. I agree with the others, maybe it needs a bit of memorability, more structure or as open mind said, more tension. Nice work however, 8/10 from me so far. -
indeed, fantastic remix. Great stuff.
-
Well Penzo, you know what I think about this. Stunning work! I feel very honored take care
-
Hey Sergio, I still remember your stuff from a while ago... very good productions with lots of depth and emotion, thats what I am looking for in good Psy. You have been followed take care!

Surprised no one mentioned CPC - Zolod's Requiem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iB7rLPDjHSI if that is not sad, I dont know what is... background is a sad and true story actually: http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?/topic/30828-terminator-aka-zolod-ex-parasense-has-died/

i like the stuff with more aggressive basslines: this one is banging, its electro, dont know if its "house": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fErDvy5cZI0

Nice find, I really enjoy the second tune... well, there is always Front Line Assembly or Noise Unit (basically the same guys). But they are not strictly EBM, rather industrial, and on most of the tracks they have more of a breakbeat style percussion... but you can discover a lot of psy elements in their sound. here is my favorite Noise Unit Track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYJyfz3oXyk and here is a great FLA track, 4/4 rythm, psychedelic synths... I recommend their album epitaph, in my opinion it is their best album, lots of complex breakbeats, very melodic, and super atmospheric. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ru3upm_1q3A
