Kino Oko - Atomic Corner (CTO gram remix)
Symphoid replied to CTO_gram's topic in Free Music Promotion
Cool! Very nicely done. You have a lot of really neat effects going on and the production value seems to be top notch. Because of my taste in music, I hoped for more melodic phrases thoughout the track, but that's just me. Anyway, great job man! You've got talent -
Kino Oko - Atomic Corner (CTO gram remix)

Hey man, it won't let me download from that site -
Certainly:) I'll be able to give it a listen after work tonight. That's right, I forgot about that. Must've been several months ago. Anyway, i do take your words as a wonderful compliment

Thank your for the comments, CTO. Really nice feedback I wasn't sure about this track's length either; one of my concerns about showcasing this piece. Thanks WizKaz, Yeah that's me, heheh. Thanks, Bahamut. I was hoping you'd like this one.

cool man! My faves are the dragon and rainbow colored fountain.

Damn, this one took me a long time to finish. I've never been self-confident enough to share my singing voice, but I feel good about this one. I'm also a little tired of working with a 4/4 meter so I changed it up with 6/4. It's difficult to express how much of myself I put into this, so I'll just leave it at that and let you listen. BUMP! Well, you know my thoughts on this one. C'mon people...more feeback!

OOOD - 'Free Range' is complete!
Symphoid replied to Colin OOOD's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
How did I miss this thread? Congrats, Colin. I'm definitely picking up this album. Wicked cover, btw. -
Whoa! I love his work. I haven't heard of him. Thanks for the link:) Damn, that's a lot of money. I guess I'd be silly for not looking in to this. Thanks man

Hey NHJO, you're track structure is evolving I can tell you are putting more thought into your melodies and buildups. I think some of the sounds you use are a bit too intrusive...at least at the beginning. Maybe more of a dynamic buildup will help engage the listener. Keep on making music. I'm pulling for ya!

Thanks, Per. Yours too. As a matter of fact your Glitch work needs to be shared. I love it. hehe, a little shy, but more bashful i think. I'd very much like to make something for you, but it usually takes quite a long time. Let me know if you have any ideas in mind for me to work with. thanks! good question. I really like symmetry because it presents a challenge. In a way it proves that I can duplicate a design or set of details that stem from imagination. I also like the unnaturalness of symmetry. Human beings instinctively create order and produce some kind of systematic functionality to their surroundings; this case I utilize in my drawings. ThanksWp! It's 8.5 inches by 11 inches - standard paper size

Thanks DP, Time_Trap, snowball and Adakt Very nice words. I'm slowly starting to get back into the groove of drawing like I used to. there will definitely be more.

wow! thanks nemo

Thanks DaZeD I would love to have the opportunity to make a living off of drawing stuff like this, but marketing something like this is difficult with such a small audience as compared to that of a unicorn drinking from a pond in an enchanted forest setting. Thanks echo

my link didn't work? hmm, ok, i'll put it up

I've been very lazy about my visual art for the past few years. Here's one I finished a little while ago called...... Organication Experimenting with different medium has somewhat reignited my drawing passion. In this case, I used newsprint strips soaked in white glue and draped them over a small canvas. When dried, the strips are stuck together and create a ancient looking canvas.

Braindance...that's brilliant! For me, it's definetly more of a psychological kinesis than it is physical. Although a few Aphex tracks got me moving. "Vordshbn", I think it's spelled, always makes me move. It has an offbeat syncopation that I fell in love with the first time I listened.

I'll offer private dances to the ladies.

The first completed track by me (Solar Storm)
Symphoid replied to snowball's topic in Free Music Promotion
Hey snowball, this is really creative. It's awesome that you're experimenting with different musical phrases. You've created some neat sounds! What i'd like to hear, and this is biased by my own musical taste, is more layering to solidify thematic material...no matter how abstract the melody is. This will certainly widen the listening space as well. Flow seems to be the main thing that keeps this track from having a solidified presence. Perhaps in between phrases, you can create more transitions that open up a door into each phrase. You've certainly got the skill to make cool sounds to lead the listener. I look forward to your musical progression. You've got a unique flavor to your music:) -
because searching for 20+ legitimate tracks can sometimes be unsuccessful.

For the most part I don't mind Shpongle. There are some really great melodies and spiffy genre transitions, but I can't stand the vocal tracks and don't enjoy the Raja flute much at all. As much as I love a continuously flowing album, I was so annoyed with Shpongle's latest. Way too many tracks! I'm not saying any material should have been cut, but rather consolidation should have taken place. It could easily be sized down to 10. It also made downloading it illegally take twice the amount of time as it should've taken.
