Morphing sounds from one to another

that's a difficult question. is this for a transition or just an effect? -
What music are you listening to right now?

Ulrich Schnauss - Monday-Pracetemol. I'm so jealous of his skill. -

Aiding the Inspiration Process

I find gaining love or losing love to be the most inspirational -

Nice 80s electro! Those vocal samples, classic! -
My eyes are swelling with tears whilst listening to this piece. Beauty itself is redefined by your delicate yet passionate sonic rendering. I lay down to die in the fields a complete and humbled man. Bravo Charlie.

oh man, i'm gonna regret this. i wrote this crap as a joke many years ago. i never write lyrics except when the content is ridiculous. this song makes no sense, the mixing is terrible and the singing is even worse...in other words my greatest work Big Dogs -

Listening to a tune a friend and i made. Her voice is so pretty, yet so sad. -
ACK! that's so ugly! it looks like someone cut out pictures of their girlfriend dancing and slapped some accidental abstract image next to her. garbage

i'm def not much of a fan of lyrics. i don't really care what a song's message is language wise. i don't mind vocals used as an instrument though. Smoked Glass and Chrome, as you mentioned sherlock, is a beautiful example of this.

No prob Otto. I mean what I say about your tunes. They are worth many listens; especially because they are unique. I've got too many pieces that are partially done. I've been so incredibly frustrated with music for the past couple years. i can't seem to get into it like i used to. i hate to say it, but i'm a little burnt out with composing. I really do hate saying that because i was so passionate about it for so long. i am working on a song now that i go in and out of liking/hating so who knows when i'll get that done. stupid artist temperment well, i don't want this thread to be about me so i'll close with what i use to make music. I've got 2 synths where i do most of my sequencing/composing: A Korg Triton and a Roland JV-1000. I then tweak out some of the sounds and fx in Adobe Audition and finally mix and master (poorly) in Acid Pro 5. It's a small setup, but i need limitations. I don't like to be overwhelmed with equipment. It's the best way to learn the in's and out's of your gear imho. Anyway, enough about me. I've gotta listen to your new tune again with my headphones.

Per! Man, I love this! I got the chills listening to this. When the tappy synth came in with bursts of an abstract melody i was instantly hooked. I love how that tickles the ear:) This is my favorite of yours. Once again, you've catered to my love of a slow gradual build. What a fun trip. I don't know what it is, but there was someting that reminded me of The Secret of Mana on SNES. That's a good thing. My only complaint would be that it had to end Thanks for sharing your work, it's really good.

ok i win. yay!

wow, this thread is old. anyone care to start up the contest buzz again?
-
Looking forward to hearing this one Otto. I can't listen to music at work
-
Nicely mixed Otto. This was a lot of fun to listen to. Like i mentioned in your other tune i love building melodies and you accomplished that nicely. I only wish there were more pads, but that's my taste. My favorite is the dreamy arpeggio sequence at the second part of the song when it builds back into the theme. It makes me happy Good job man. I really can't wait to get some more of your tunes for my ipod.

Hey NHJO, You've got some nice big synth sounds and an interesting melody. I hear some distortion throughout the song, especially the kick. Clipping issues maybe? Either way keep 'em coming. I'm a huge fan of video game music and the intro reminded of Gradius from the old NES. Your music made me smile.
