Finally got BOC- Music has the Right to Children. This album is so good. It's like listening to a memory - hazy & nostalgic. I'm so out of the loop.
-
He is good at what he does, but I thought he had a different style altogether. I would like to hear more of his work too.
-
Not exactly trance, but funny

oh oops, i guess just ignore my post and pretend it never happened. i'm still drunk from last night

mixing ambient is rather tricky. what i like to do is turn the master volume down pretty low and from there you can recognize what sounds outshine others. if bass, for example, isn't heard at low levels than it needs a boost. this is a very general approach at mixing ambient, but it often works for me.

this song makes me want to break out my old nintendo

singing? are u serious? if you actually heard my singing voice you may reconsider I wish i could find the original tracks for this piece, but moving 20 times in the past 5 years has caused me lose many things like the elements for this piece. If i do come across i will definitely refine it and sent it your way... Thanks for the kind words draeke Edit: here's an excerpt of the conversation: Perhaps the most prominent theme in existentialist writing is that of choice. Humanity's primary distinction, in the view of most existentialists, is the freedom to choose. Existentialists have held that human beings do not have a fixed nature, or essence, as other animals and plants do; each human being makes choices that create his or her own nature. In the formulation of the 20th-century French philosopher Jean Paul Sartre, existence precedes essence. Choice is therefore central to human existence, and it is inescapable; even the refusal to choose is a choice. Freedom of choice entails commitment and responsibility. Because individuals are free to choose their own path, existentialists have argued, they must accept the risk and responsibility of following their commitment wherever it leads.

Thanks for listening man! I'm glad you have the same sentiments as I do concerning the weak interest in this section.

Exactly! I hate live music recordings...especially of electronic music.

Hey Dajek- Nice tune man. You're working with some cool melodies. I don't make psy so I can only offer advise that applies to my own compositional techniques. Anyway, I'd like to commend you on this being your first psy effort. Very impressive. It sounds like you've got the effects down which seem to be the definitive in psy music. What I'd like to hear is a more frequent use of the stereo field. Play around with the 'sonic canvas' a little more to broaden/widen the sound as whole. Dynamically, the overall piece is somewhat thin. The kick, for example, has presence but doesn't have punch. A standard technique involving the addition of a little 80Hz will add a nice thump to the kick and reducing 40Hz will prevent overwhelming bass rumble. It doesn't have to be that exact formula. It's all about playing around with frequencies until you get the desired sound you want. Maybe increase the levels of the higher percussion to help maximize dynamic range also. This can add so much color to your music. Anyway, good work man. I look forward to hearing more.

Sure thing RAH. No more teasing. I've gotta get my lazy ass back into composing mode.

Ok, here's a better link to my tune, I hate Rapidshare----->One Ticket To Venus

Well, I found this track of mine that I created years ago. It's a thought piece with excerpts of an instant message conversation I had with a friend about existentialism. The production quality isn't that great, but you might find it interesting. And that's my goofy voice. Have a listen? It's called------------->Existasia

Hey Psyfi, excellent work. You have an exceptionally clean sound which onviously demonstrates your expertise. Well done.
-
Hey Saikick, I like this. Sparkunian is right about the panning it's very nice. You've got some interesting sounds going on. I'm a big fan of sonic originality. The only thing I wanted to hear was a little more atmosphere...maybe some dark sounding pads? That's just me though. I like to be overwhelmed. Anyway, good work man.

The Braveheart soundtrack hits me hard when I listen partly because of a deep rooted association with my first true love. A few others: Coldcut-Autumn Leaves Debussy-Clair de Lune Some Chicane Danny Elfman-Edward Scissorhands Elliott Smith - Needle in the Hay Susumu Yokota Ulrich Schnauss - all of his wonderful music

me too+video games. What I love about these is that the genres are all-encompassing. I have such a soft spot for orchestral though. I'll play you a story | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | V

Ugh, i really didn't like those album covers much. They looked like cheap souvenirs to me, but that's just my opinion. Cinos, your pics are hilarious I think I'll have to join in on the fun
