  1. Hello, I was searching the web for Kris Kylven interviews because I really would love to learn from him, his trance music is so good (UX, Syb-Unity Nettwerk, etc.). I only found a few YouTube video and his PsyNews profile page, LOL...Anything to share on his techniques? Any article or interview from him around? Thank in advance,
  2. Namaste!! I was wondering...Do trancers use analog sequencers such as the MAQ16/3, the Dark Times or the MAM SQ16 to actually produce music, not just tinkering? This gear sure looks good, but it looks extremely limited compared to a soft sequencer such as Cubase, at least for our musical genre with so many tracks per tune, sounds, instruments and SFX. Please share your opinion Boom!
  3. This is it! Better than with the finger, LOL Nice sound, thank you Timofey.
  4. Hi guys, Not too much transy, but cool sound effect, how do you reproduce this short rising climax that dates back to the early 90's? It starts at 3:11. I recognize a square wave form, a rising pitch to infinite by steps (how is this achieved?), a delay effect. Maybe the guy is just sliding this finger up the keyboard, LOL....
  5. Definitely! Dark trance is pretty effective at exacerbating visions of the mind, hallucinations, dark opinions about society.
  6. Chicken and egg dilema...What creates what? Does goa trance music generates these mental illnesses or do we listen to this music because we are sick? I'm not convinced this music is unhealthy, to begin with. As for me, it gives me energy when I feel good. But granted that when I feel bad, it takes me further down.
  7. Radi: You have at least seasonal affective disorder (SAD), also known as winter depression, winter blues. Most people have it in northern countries where there is wintertime. But I think you could consider relocating to a sunny place where you would be happier. You don't look happy in Europe (and I understand that). Regarding medicines, in my case they have all done harm. I have stopped taking some and I have new symptoms such as sudden fears, instant shivers, electric discharges in muscles, which I had not before I took medicines (are the medicines the culprit or not? I don't know). These everending symptoms happens repeatedly throughout the day. Particularly notorious drugs: Tercian, resperdal, abilify, cymbalta or effexor. Some of them make me feel like a zombie and slow down my gestures and my thoughts. Duh...
  8. Don't go alone. Go with an escort. There are real nice ones for not so much money If it's only for swimming pool, it's even cheaper Don't stay alone.
  9. Interesting to see many similarities between all of us...
  10. No surprise you like fractals for being affected by the Asperger syndrome. This is a very interesting topic, as you said, it enhances your mind to some extend, but with the social downsides. If I may ask, what kind of job do you do with AS? Something related to maths, technology, engineering, R&D?
  11. As a child, I could walk on the ceiling...Joke aside, yes, this OCD stuff is a pain. As for me, I always count stuff such as the number of tiles on the floor, the symetry of things on the walls, adding and multiplying things at home such as squares drawn on objects... I also have cognitive and memory impairment.
  12. Hello, Not a very exciting topic, but out of curiosity, do you suffer from any mental illness? I have chronic depression, general anxiety disorder, social phobia, addictions, ADDH and OCD Goa trance music relieves my symptoms.
  13. Ah ah...Yeah, the buffalos down the streets...They look stoned and walk slowly. I have visited Greece, and people honk in Greece too!
  14. Hi, Not sure how to recreate the bass that starts here...Seems like it's a mixture of square and saw tooth. It sure is powerful...Any idea? Thanks,
  15. No, actually I didn't try, I wouldn't have had time...
  16. I would suggest searching for a simple job with not too many requirements (then you can progress inside the company when they find out you're skilled), work in the outskirts of a medium-sized city, and live further away from the city, not too far from your work. You should be less affected from the crowd.
  17. I agree with the foot in the door technique. There are companies that have a special status where they are managed by their own employees and the manager, elected by the employees, is paid extra only for the extra hours he works managing the company. I worked for such a company a few years ago, the quality of the environment and relationships are better. You feel you work for yourself.
  18. At the company I work for, those who have the lowest salaries are the ones who work most.
  19. In my country also, a degree is everything. You could have a degree and have poor productivity, be lazy, not talkative, etc...You would still be paid better than the one who has all these skills and more experience, but with no degree.
  20. Hard not to be evil these days! (Maybe work in a society, and still...)
  21. I work for a power electronics company (business school degree).
  22. For tees, I prefer Indian culture related ones (Hindu gods and symbols), or drug-related ones (LSD or psylocibin molecules stamped on the front of the t-shirt)
