  1. A great site for inspiration is YouTube! You can record phrases from talks taken from: - TED conferences on scientific topics - Old sci-fi movies from the 70's (or later!) - Philosophical/mystical discussions by Indians such as Brahma Kumaris (topics such as telepathy, meditation, telekinesis, etc.)
  2. It is a pretty good start! A few ideas: varying the bassline, building up here and there, adding a few more melodies and SFX.
  3. Yeah...All these so called "analog" VSTIs are false advertising. They should market themselves as "virtual analog", as hardware synths have done so far.
  4. Sheyba - Ganesh: Highly recommended!! Terrific!!
  5. Still playing around with KarmaFX modular VSTi, here's a 10 sec loop
  6. Panoptes: There is still room for inspiration...What about tatooing on your fingers ADSR, one letter per finger? (except the thumb)
  7. Heck, yeah, €4,000 for the rack + €180 for the application, this is just carried away, compared to the €99 of KarmaFX...
  8. And, do you have a good online radio to recommend me to listen to good psybient?
  9. I've been using the full version of KarmaFX for a few days. I'm loving it, the user's manual has some invaluable stuff, and Kasper, the creator of the application and author of the manual is very kind!
  10. Veracohr: You rock Thank you, I'll read that article carefully
  11. Hello, Ever heard of the sync wave form? The Cheetah MS6 has it among its patches...(Listen to patches Sync 71 and Sync 73). Do you have information on this type of sound, how it looks like as a waveform and how it's made? Thanks,
  12. Hello, I'm thinking about chosing a modular synth. I'm doing some research and I'm tempted to get a KarmaFX, I enjoyed the trial version so far. I'm also tempted to get a Micro Modular. What is your favorite modular synth? A full-fledged Doepfer eurorack?
  13. Indeed, it looks promising. I'm subscribed to their newsletter and I've been watching out for their D-Day. My only worry about Bitwig is them missing SysEx automation like it is the case with Live. But I'm sticking to Cubase in any case
  14. I just wanted to share this video I stumbled upon... Synth1 VSTi - Acid Synth Technique Tutorial
  15. That Transwave powerful snare can also be achieved using a white noise wave form, with short decay, resonance and reverb.
  16. It's not too bad, but it's not better than the current clones of TR-808, TR-909 and TB-303, be they software or hardware (e.g. RB-338, x0xb0x, Syntecno Teebee, Airbase99, Audiorealism VSTIs, Phoscyon, Project 9090, etc...). I'd rather use one of these old clones with a surface control.
