  1. I searched for this phrase on the Internet but didn't find its origin. Is it taken from a movie? That would be interesting to know
  2. Can you tell what the guy says? The sample is at 0:44:39: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpDPvsb4FDI It's a commonly used sample. Any idea where it comes from?
  3. Cyber Trance, hands down. The very first trance CD I had in my hands, and the best so far! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpDPvsb4FDI
  4. Good mix! Hyperion - Sun Flower is famous maybe because it's featured as the first tune of the excellent World Of Goa Trance 1 compilation! I have listened to it an incredible number of times... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtY0Jk7Pt34
  5. Hello, Like many of the rest of us, I have only used keyboard shortcuts and a mouse (trackball) with my DAW and VSTs. I think this is so awkward and so 90's, LOL...Do you use any other pointing device such as a large touchpad or a DAW remote control (such as Steinberg's)? How do you make your life easier and what do you do to save time and effort when using your DAW and plug-ins? How do you cycle through the different windows of your DAW easily and quickly? Please share Thank you!
  6. My new toy, a Dark Energy v.1 with the glide option, I'm happy playing around with it! I found this site that features presets and here are the sound samples. I love this laser effect (used extensively in goa trance!)
  7. A few songs that I love... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjG_ea00_0I
  8. I don't believe in Karma. One reason is that as time goes by, the Earth is more populated. Where would all these new souls come from, then, if not recycling each other? What we call sins are essential for survival, e.g. killing to feed yourself, to protect yourself...I wonder how a species would survive only being good within its environment. This would be grounds for its own extinction.
  9. Hello, I'd like to share some of the online Indian radios that I listen to, when not listening to goa trance music (I don't want to get crazy for listening too much to our beloved highly addictive music, eh eh!!) There you go: http://delicast.com/radio/India/Geetham_Tamil_Radio <- My favorite one http://delicast.com/radio/India/Radio_TeenTaal http://www.surfmusic.de/country/india.html http://streema.com/radios/play/7748 http://www.livetv4u.in/2011/01/sangeet-radio-live-fm-radio.html If you are into it, please share your links as well. You can also share names of traditional Indian musicians that you like.
  10. I hear you...I don't do blood tests often, but every time I do, I tell the lady "You've been warned, every time I do a blood test, I faint". And after 30 sec, I begin to pass out. Always I have had the same problem, since I was a child. The doctors told me this is not dyslexia but Information Processing Disorder. In my case, I also don't watch movies because I don't grasp any information. People usually have to repeat several times for me to grasp the information. Otherwise, it's just a vague mixture of nonsense words. Like listening to or reading an unknown foreign language. To read a page in a magazine, it can take as much as half an hour, because of reading every sentence over and over again till I get the idea. At one point, I get worked up and give up.
  11. India and Colombia: Beautiful countries, awesome weather, delicious food, very cute girls, very kind people, very nice local music. Venezuela is pretty good too, albeit dangerous, and people are hot-blooded! All other countries I have visited are ok, neither bad nor good.
  12. Hello, Trance tracks usually have a high-pitch sine wave melody such as here or here. Any name for these kinds of melodies? (it's not a lead, it's not a bass or a string...). Thanks,
  13. Hum...The holy goa sound...So good...I love that vintage drummer kit he's using (808?). I also love that high-pitch sine wave arpeggio. The only weak part is transitions, if at all. But hey, it's live performance, and this guys is doing very good!
  14. So....I guess these analog sequencers a cool for live performance. Just keep all your gear synced and you're good to go
