cd playback problems most often on the very last track?
mars replied to trancenonZENsedance's topic in General Psytrance
It happened to me years ago, the problem was the player. It happens more often in car readers, because of the vibrations. Technically speaking, I mean, at the press level, your CD isn'lt likely to be defective at the end rather than at the beginning, unless the CD exceeds 80 minutes, which might increase the defect rate. This is only theoretical, a red book fanatic would argue there are risks above 76 minytes but this is bullshit. Most presses go over 82 minutes flawlessly. Now you may also be the one guy in the world stumbling several times in a row upon THE one badly pressed CD over the whole batch. Very unlikely. -
Such a shame, no wonder neo goa artists are poor
mars replied to radi6404's topic in General Psytrance
Radi, go on http://www.suntriprecords.com/releases/ and tell me if you see "MP3: Order" and "FLAC: Order" ? Then go on http://www.suntriprecords.com/shop/ and tell me if you see under most items "Check other formats" which lead you to the product details page where you can also order in MP3/FLAC ? I admit the site is not really ergonomic, if I weren't sick I would work on that, but seriously, it takes a lot not to see our digital offers! -
Completely. Maybe there was a similar super-utopic-melody-all-the-way feeling in Sky Input but the production was completely different and this was 9 years ago.

This is a working title. The point is to make poeple understand it will be more twisted and acidic than Pathfinder. I disagree of course. Emnuel is still working in the album, he has lots of ideas, tracks are reworked, replaced by others, remixed...and Suntrip has already a pretty heavy release schedule for the second half of 2013. So we're heading to a release by early 2014 and a LOT of things might happen until then.

The harsh reality... Why Psytrance has become shit
mars replied to Anoebis's topic in General Psytrance
That video on the first post is so true...and sad... What makes me happy with it is that we (Suntrip) release something completely different. Note the source of this video is on Loud's Youtube page, and they can, because they are amongst those who have a non-"normalized" sound. -
Right. Having received recently the kind of phone call where the other person tells you "drop everything you're doing, go to the hospital's emergencies NOW", and since I've been stuck in that hospital for 3 months, I experienced something between B and C. I filled a cabin-suitcase and a small backpack, and he backpack contained my laptop with 100+ GB of music. But if I didn't have that laptop that would be: Hallucinogen - Twisted Total Eclipse - Violent Relaxation Pleiadians - IFO Etnica - Live in Athens Astral Projection - Trust in Trance 3 Oforia - Delirious Nerso - Explorations of Infinity Miranda - Phenomena RA - 9th VA - Order Odonata - The Experiments that Identify Change

Blueroom +1 I saw GMS in Sept. 98, and it was the only time they made me really dance.

Ahahaha excellent answer Richpa! Yet, the one that suits me best remains:

There's still buying cds, who are typically 30+ and who like to hold a quality product in their hands. CD sales decreases, true, but remain decent if you release good music wrapped in a nice artwork. IMO there's no denying digital media's are overcoming all the rest. Please read my interview on psytrance.pl (and Anoebis' interview on Neogoa) for infos on why/how Suntrip makes limited editions, and what I think about this shift in the way people consume music and the piracy surrounding it.

I'm thinking of travelling, through space or nice landscapes.

Quite so. After a long hesitation, between Starship101, Vimana, History and Trip Tonite, I chose: Vimana!

I download more or less everything, make a quick sort (dark: out, fullon: out), listen to all the rest and buy everything I like in an online shop.

When I saw the title ni my RSS reader I thought it was a post by Lost Buddha. You made my day.

I completely agree. Just look at this summer's festivals lineups.

Incredible, there's a pattern: everyone who's trying to be creative and isn't interested in making big bucks gets criticized. Let's ignore this baboon.

First trying to calm his ego in a zen way when he was still at Suntrip (2006) Then not reacting when he was attacking us and telling him gently he should get into rehab (2007, 2008) Then he remained silent for a while. Then listening to his ball-licking bullshit when meeting him in parties and trying to get some "stream" going on again (2010-2012), despite what had ben said in the past. Then not reacting and even wishing him godspeed when he created Moontrip (2013). I even listened to every one of the promos he sent me. The point was not to pay him a rehab. But at the same time we always listened, never criticized, never fanned the fire. Here is what we get in return. Time's up for psychology.

No, no helping, pretending to understand, and compassion anymore. We've done that for YEARS. One person choses to take drugs, this same person choses to destroy a brillant musician future and shits on everything on his path during all these years, and we should be still bending and understanding again and again? No, it's over, now is time to be straight with the man. Links: https://www.facebook.com/amithababuddha?fref=ts https://www.facebook.com/MoontripRecords?fref=ts I have reported both these pages to Facebook for shutdown. I hope other people will do the same.

You're taking several risks there man.

have a recorded private conversation between him and me on Facebook that I will show if things go too far. I don't know what he has with Filteria. Maybe the problem is one is talented and charismatic and plays everywhere and the other is a stoned dork grumbling in his dirty living room. Right and right. I am stuck in a hospital room for one month now. Leukemia. Know that I had the force to make the artwork of our next compilation from the hospital. Don't worry I'll survive Indeed! Short version: Back in 2006 Suntrip wanted to release Filipe's album, but the tracks would never come. He complained we didn't consider his talent enough and I replied "then where are the tracks?". And he slammed the Suntrip door. He created Metapsychic with a couple of friends and it started very good, then in June 2007 he started dissing Filteria and Suntrip very bad and made his partners believe there was some kind of plot between Psynews/Suntrip to ruin Metapsychic or something. We had loads of critics from his partners and were forced to justify ourselves. Just plain crazy. Finally in November 2007 he sabbotaged Metapsychic for really no reason (I have kept the page with all the statements and logs and conversations with everyone). What had happened? Drugs. Since then, the other ex-Metapsychic guys have apologized and I'm a good friend with one of them. After that Filipe also ruined another label: Shivlinks and caused trouble more or less everywhere he passed. You know what? Writing these lines I just realize nothing has changed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Years pass...one year ago I met Filipe in a backstage. He kind of apologized for all the bad words (read: he was licking my ass so he might have a chance to release something on Suntrip again) and I told him "no sour grapes, just send the music", which he did. I thought he could have made more efforts. It was good but not as good as before and too frenetic for our current "line" anyway. Though I thought the bad days were really behind us. However a couple of monhs ago I realized I was wrong: overnight he creaed "Moontrip Records". Come on, seriously... I understood one of the goals was to annoy us so I strictly told everyone at Suntrip NOT to react in any way, just ignore that. We have no copyright on "moon" after all. And then, 4 weeks ago, he started shitting on my Facebook wall, on me on Filteria, this made no sense at all. I was on chemo just at that moment and I wasn't feeling like laughing. We had a quite strong conversation, and as he knew he'd bullshitted far too much he deleted the thread in the end....but I had the time to save it, so in case he comes and denies, I'll show it. To me the bottomline is simple: Filipe is on drugs, crazy, and downfalls will keep on going in this bipolar manner for the next years, until he's too destroyed to even remember about Goatrance, Psynews, Suntrip, Filteria, etc. The only way to deal with him is to ignore him, blacklist him, NOT book him and let him join the horde of forgotten uneliable artists out there. Don't misread me: he's extremely talented, but also too toxic to work with. As far as I'm concerned, next time I see him, I'll kick his ass. Physically. I mean it.
