item you paid most and the one you paid less (but that values)
mars replied to draeke's topic in General Psytrance
Drake, what's this Etched EP ? As for me: most: Infinity Hz: 40 or 50 eur least: Indoor album: 2,5 euro -
Protoculture used to be in some other music than Psytrance before. NOw he must have sen enough and is going yet again another direction. He did a lot to the movement in its darkest hours. Let's wish him good luck !

I've searched, it's nowhere else.

Click on the psynews.org logo at the top, scroll, and you will find this.

I tried to listen to this "thing" and I think this is a joke and also a test. A test to see how many people buy it and thus, how dumb people can be. Musically speaking this is so bad you could cry.

Download - Bliss - The Looney Bin for free in CD quality!
mars replied to frozen dream's topic in Free Music Promotion
Seen the files were uploaded 1 month ago, let's assume Bliss knows what he's doing, so there's no problem sharing this link. -

Never heard of anyone from Detroit here. There are Psy scenes everywhere though. If there is one in Detroit, maybe it's not very active (compated to the other techno scenes), or more simply, its people go and party in Toronto (it's 240 miles, I know) Maybe ask Basilisk, he's a Toronto figure and he probably knows something about the senes surrounding his ?!

Give me 28 hours / day and I'll manage to de-stack it from Suntrip's todolist.
-
So it's either "The Local Scenes and Global Culture of Psytrance" or "GOA – 20 Years of Psychedelic Trance". Based on previous definitions, I'd say it's the firts of the two. but these 2 books are for sale, no direct link here.

GODDAMIT ! Ahahah and the promo text is a real confession: Our DJ´s are getting booked to play retro Goa sets. Up on chats on facebook etc we discovered that there is a bit of a revival in the early sounds that defined a genre and a lifestyle for hundreds of thousands of people from around the world. And almost no one can compile an album of these early Goa Trance party classics like Tip Records can. I don't quite agree on the last part cause we all know these tracks, but, hey, we can always point them at a bunch of good artists if they're willing to release more fresh Goa on TIP ahaha

No hesitations: Pleiadians - Electra

OK I repeat: - what was approximately the size of the file ? - was it scanned (pages were scans of the paper) or really the e-book (pages were real text) ? - did you find it on some music related website or was it just a direct link ? - do you remember what was the software(s) used in the courses? - were there photos, was it in color, etc ?
-
Please try to answer all my questions.
-
I'd like that, but we have an issue with copyrights. In the end free books would be available, and the others just referenced (or only the covers for instance). I wonder what's the ratio between free and non-free books?
-
Hmm yeah but that's more or less the only book I could find which described a few electronic music concepts in the beginning then shifted to music production course as you descirbed. So I tried my luck. Have you seen the ToC ? Sure that's not that one ? Was your book more than 173 pages anyway ? More questions: - what was approximately the size of the file ? - was it scanned (pages were scans of the paper) or really the e-book (pages were real text) ? - did you find it on some music related website or was it just a direct link ? - do you remember what was the software(s) used in the courses? - were there photos, was it in color, etc ? Really, ANY detail you remember may be used. There's also a possibility: since this forum has a 10-year archive, maybe someone else mentioned it in the past. Did you perfoorm some query here?
-
Please download this extract. Is that it ?
-
And was it <cough> downloaded <cough> from the internet ? Torrent ? Newsgroups ? When approximately ?
-
Maybe you remember all or part of the title ? Of the editor ? Of the author ? Of the language used ? Of how the cover looked like ? I'm sure I can find it, but please give as many details as you have.

HMmm the answer to this question usually changes after some time. For me I think the best was Total Eclipse, in Bordeaux, in 96 or 97. And following very close were Etnica in Paris, 1999. And followng very close were one of the first live acts of Infected Mushroom also in Paris, 1999. A Logic Bomb performance, still in Paris, in 2000 blew me away, and KoxBox at Samothraki 2002 too. I should point out that usually memory makes things better than what they actually were, so let's pay attention. More recently I think only Filteria, Antares and Andromeda made me fly like in the good old days

I have the mag. The article is pages 128-132. Very interesting, esepcially for those who would be interested in starting with newschool goa music production. I'd like to know who wrote the article. Obviously someone close to that scene. I'd bet some Phototropic artist Anyway it's good to see that. It feels like 1997 ahah

This is a super good compilation musicalwise. A must-have for NeoGoa lovers ! Go buy it! I knew some of the tracks before (E-Mantra, Psychedelic Quest and probably Hypnotic Signal too) and they were of the kind you can't fit in your own compilation but keep in reserve. I'm happy theu are released now. I'm also very happy Psychedelic Quest finally made it to a CD, he deserved it after so much work. And he has more in store! The only track I don't like is the Zed Reactor, but hey, you can't please everyone Favourites: Astrancer, Psychedelic Quest, E-Mantra, Hypnotic Signal, Radical Distortion, Amanians!!

Several tracks are very good but these 2 are the best of the compil for me. BlackStarrFinale - Rabbit Marker is one of the best Goa tracks this year, that's already a fact. Luis did a superb leap forward into music production. Kudos for that. Space Elves - Tribute To The Wonderboy: Very very good too. I have a comment on Grand Cheff: nice, but the sample talks about shit, so it feels unconvenient when you understand French...

Electrypnose - Sweet Sadness (Suntrip)
mars replied to a topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Cover is not 100% final, but I needed something to display. Yes, 2 min extracts are online here. Sure we are Ambient lovers (and speaking for myself, Progressive too). Anoebis and I always considered "Subliminal Melancholies" as a sublime album. We made a first try with Vince/Electrypnose on Opus Iridium, the track was excellent. And since he's a really nice guy, we've kept on discussing this album idea for like 1.5 year. Now it's a reality What's good also is we can at the same time give a break on Goa as we've produced a lot in the past year; and still release quality music for music lovers -
Hi Penzoline, thanks for the links. While we're at it, don't you have the Goa Syndrome compilations? Thanks. [edit: seems it's posted on the newsgroup alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.goa-trance 114 days ago, will attempt to get it]
