He's based in Ibiza, which means...whatever you want. He still makes music, and perforoms but he's much less "involved" in big parties and main festivals for a few years already. I think his music lost some of its interest. Too bad.

Some are missing IMO (Suntrip CDs...). I have counted > 13000 releases all included (CD/LP, CDS/CDM/EP) without dupes ever since psytrance existed, but I don't know how many are actually Goatrance. The Rhythm of releases accelerated from 2001, but we can say Goatrance releases were marginal after 1999. So we can count 5 years of Goatrance (1995-1999), with between 200 and 500 releases / year. That must be a few thousands overall.

A better person, I don't know. A different person, that may be. A person that opened his eyes on some things, surely. Well, first you need to enter an alternate state of consciousness out of dancing to the power of music. That's kinda hard and you can't control it. That's something that happened to me a few times spontaneouly because the music and the weather, and the ambiance were all perfect. Else, it's easier to do so with some psychotropic help, but we aren't talking about that, are we? Well, so, everytime I came back to Earth after such an experience, I had the feeling I needed to relativize some things in my life. Like, think about what's really important in life, what to change with daily relationships, etc. Maybe your frends didn't go as far as you in the trance-dance thing, maybe they're listening to styles of music that are less prone to slingshot them over the coulds, but overall, I tend to agree with you with a nuance: based on my own experience, I'd say you won't be changed or made better in a finger snap, but you'll start reflecting on your own life...which may induce some changes. In other words, the transient state helps opening your mind to oneself's changes, and whether changes happen or not, takes place after, and is entirely up to you. With some drugs, in some conditions, though, it goes much further, and you can definitely get "altered" dutring a psychedelic experience, not always the good way, unfortunately. I wouldn't advise doing so.

It wouldn't be convenient from me to mention Opus Iridium. Actually I'm storngly hesitating between AirBorn and First Flight, both from Flying Rhino. ..launching a coin... Ok "Air Born" is my fav.

Yes... For me 1st time was in a car, on a week end of mid-1995, a good friend had brought Trancentral 4 mixed by Tsuyoshi. But I didn't really like the music at the time. 6 months later, however I heard LSD by Hallucinogen and I changed of music tastes overnight.

Oh yeah these ones are so good ! Many many tracks made me cry or close to, including of course some RA and Pleiadians tracks. More recently Filtertraces by Filteria gave me similar emotions. Else, the closest I was from crying in a party was on a Kox Box live years ago. On a sunrise, open air, the sound went liquid, time slowed down, and tears came in my eyes. That was not a even one track in particular, that was the perfect moment.

That's where Skytrancer, the absolute fan, should be getting in the discussion...

Etnica - Alien Protein Pleiadians - I.F.O. Pleiadians - Family of Light Crop Circles - Tetrahedron Get these, you have the best. There are a few very good EPs, too. The Juggleling alchemists and Equator are now classics but weren't at all when they were released. Still if you can grab them, do it. The good melodic stuff got released before 2001. After that there were good Etnica tracks but in a much darker style.

I totally agree. This one is the best KOB track to date. Well, yes we will put up some releases. At the time we wanted to parner with digital distributors and it wasn't possible. Now we have our own shop, which helps.

Hence my age is ??? It makes me think that psynews will turn 10 next January !!! And Suntrip turned 5 last week...I mean, the company creation, the 5th bday of our first release is in november >> What could we imagine to celebrate all that?? hmm??? Ideas are welcome.

After 15 years of listening to psytrance loud and partying my ears are fucked. I can hear...that I hear less things than my gf for example. I passed some tests years ago. Treebles were definitely fucked, and overall heaing was just above average. It must be worse now. General advice: place yourself quite far from the loudspeakers in a party, and in a blanaced place, to optimize your listening experience. Also use some plugs. Not like the shitty yellow plugs, I mean scientificly molded to your ears plugs, with adjustable inflow. At home, use the hifi more than the headphones. And if you choose headphones, take big ones instead of intra auriculars. Take good quality headphones like AKG. And of course, keep the volume at an acceptable level. That said, that's right it's tempting to listen ot something you really like at high volume. And refraining from doing so is hard

I think Filteria made over 100 tracks. The released ones are: - the 3 albums (24 tracks) - the compilation tracks (+/- 15 tracks incl. KOB) The unreleased ones are: - the live versions: almost each released track has one (or more) live mix(es). Some get released over time (Ultimator Rmx / Navigate Rmx for example). This summer you will hear some Daze of Our Lives remixes, for sure. And I still have in store all the Heliopolis remixes. I'll put them on suntriprecords.com when time has passed (not to introduce confusion with Daze) and when Filteria agrees. - the tracks that were not "good" enough to be released (very early tracks, Predator, more cheesy tunes...) - the tracks that almost made it (e.g there was a lot of hesitation between "Galactic Rays" and "Latch" in Sky Input. Latch is still unreleased. Another example: Memory Lane didn't make it in Daze of Our Lives because Earthrise arrived at the last moment and was much much better). Originally, Aqua Society was made in autumn 2004, around the time Sky Input was released. And, well, after that it wouldn't have fit into Heliopolis, so it remained unreleased. Recently Filteria was concentrating on other projects and live remixes. SO he must have thought the track matched what he was asked for when Alternative Colors was prepared.
