Goasia - From Other Spaces (SUNCD09)
mars replied to mars's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
It's posible thanks to the wonderful work of artists and the fact we don't make it for profit, but for the love of music. -
The Goasia album From Other Spaces is officially scheduled for November 12th '07. That was kind of a rush to have this release ready on time, but it's such a superpack of wonders that it would have been a shame to release it later ! At the moment I'm writing this, the object of this avalanche of superlatives is flying from Tim Schuldt's mastering lair to the press factory. We can't wait ourselves to have it for real in our hands ! We've put the usual infopage with cover and story online. Also, during the next 6 weeks before release, you can prepare to this awesome CD with the 2 minutes long extracts we've put on the same page. http://www.suntriprecords.com/pages/releases/SUNCD09/ Check by yourself how hot these tracks are, fasten your seatbelt and press play !!!

I found this album much much better than Shift's latest opus Alternator, and also better than Pitch Hiker's first album. It's definitely not a disappointing sequel, like the Twisted System one. This is not full on, this is not dark, this is so much typical frenzy ZA style. The closest I can find which is not from South africa is CPU's first album. The guys are pushing their explosive musical skills very far and this gives a radical album full of crazy & massive ideas all along, up to the remix of Columbia that I found more mysterious and complete than the original. It's not flawless either. Some tracks could have been much better imo, but the whole thing is very homogenous and satisfying. I've listened to it several times and never skipped a track. It deserves a good 7/10 but the guys should pay attention to renewing their style now.

Ok i corrected some issues. Oh btw I changed to logo on the top and added the one of our dear hoster. If anyone has a better logo, i'll put it.

All right, tonight (sept 25th CET) I'm stutting down the server for the migration. The bad newsis the the site may be offline for a couple of days. Actually the current server is so unstable that it can't stay up much longer and the person hosting it is fed up of this situation. Please be patient it'll be up again between tomorrow and friday. mars.

Chemical Crew ? Not too harmful at the moment. Though their latest release, "Music With More Muscle", almost an album from Void is....well, something between free violence, gay, and cheese. In case we wouldn't understand the title that says it all, they added a YMCA cover and included an Eskimo track. I think this was a nice try to hit the hall of fame of cheese. Naaah but I don't understand how none of you guys hasn't mentionned him yet: He's the all-time of cheese, for almost 10 years he's been undefeated. Many many, wayyy too many cheesemen have tried to challenge him without ever equalling him. - Space Cat ? A beginner. - GMS ? Poor compared to him. - Vide Tribe ? Reaching his ankle. - The sum of all Full On shi(t)z ? Not even up to half of what he's able of with one single track. During the tech-trance era, he was known as "Triplex" for his ultraviolent style, but his early years sealed his fate, a fate full of cheese. Bow to the true master, the one that is and remains the God of CheeseĀ : CHEROUVIM !!!! http://www.discogs.com/artist/Cherouvim

I couldn't do it, I fucked up something on the new server, can't continue install, reverting.........
-
All right, moving the database now, i'm switching you guys in read only mode.
-
It's in progress. Files are being copied, all being backupped. I hope to move the site this night, so it's available to the public on the new location from tomorrow morning. I'll move the stats, the ftp, and all the rest nobody knows it exists in the following days.

Ah the migration couldn't start yesterday for several reasons, it will happen tonight and tomorrow. It's urgent since we got 3 more reboots in these last 24 hours. The server logs show nothing, this is probably a major failure (memory or network card). Between the oment i'll copy the files from this server to the other and the moment the switch will be effective, all changes to the filesystem here will be lost. So please try not to update your avatar this week end.

Hi I already told you the server has shown some instabilities since I upgraded it back in march. Skytrancer has been hosting the machine after I left Paris and I couldn't take care of it properly. In august I met Manu Psysurfeur http://psysurfeur.com/ and he agreed to host psynews on his own server, a proessional one. I hadn't had the time to take care of it since one month. This week the server is rebooting quite often, showing even more signs or imminent death. I'm starting to migrate it tonight. - I will do as much as possible without preventing you from posting. - At some point, posting will be disabled. You will still be able to read the forums. At that time, I'll be making the database backup and transfering the files to the new server. - Then the service will be cut, the time for the DNS servers worldwide to resynchronize "psynews.org" to the new server IP address. - And it'll be done. thanks for your comprehension. mars.

Uppercase titles will not bring you more readers. There is a button on the left of your keyboard with "Caps Lock" written on it. Strike it once again please.

I listened to this compilation today. It sounds sweet all along. Siebzehn tracks are the most impressive, quite close to what CBL or SolarFields do. This compilation isn't revolitionary but it hilights "less mainstream" artists with a strong potential who provide the listener with a brillant journey.

I got robbed too after ordering some cds during their sellout, which I never received. I contacted Tokyokid, no answer. But I kept the bill and he'll pay me back one day.

MPRCD03 - VA - Human Hyperactivation
mars replied to Metapsychic_Records's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I've listened to the compil and to me this is the best Metapsy release to date. Psycho stuff. The subra and Artifact 303 tracks are especially amazing. Personnally I don't give a shit whether this is released as mp3s. No human being can do the difference between a wav and the same well encoded as VBR or >192 with Lame. 1997 or 2007, whatever...I'm happy as long as this is Goa music !!! -
Pleiadians - Electra Etnica - Vimana

I know, I'll try to make this as fast as possible, but you know how it is with computers. I'm priviledging timezones from GMT to the middle east because it's where most trancers are, and I'm sorry americans and aussies will have to wait till it's online again.

This logo was used in Gecko and Subsonic albums.

I don't know if someone already noticed that, but I discovered a relationship between the German artist and the French city: Just compare: with This is puzzling.....
