Hi Before this Invision Board you had the old psynews and its hugs section of reviews. After the server hack in november i removed all these old pages, suspecting them to be a possible source of security risk. Well, they were missing since then. Not only that. The interviews too, the artists infos, and more stuff. With DeathPosture and Insejn, we reviewed the 2000+ old pages of releases and their reviews, cleaned up all the fights and insults on them, put them in a real database, and now they're ready to be reintegrated with their 18300 clean reviews (!!) in this board. But where ? We have releases back to 1991 (Overlords Sundown), so making a subforum / year would end up on 16 subforums in total, those from the early ages containing only a few. Look at this releases/year stats : 1991 : 1 1992 : 2 1993 : 3 1994 : 16 1995 : 47 1996 : 119 1997 : 151 1998 : 168 1999 : 207 2000 : 315 2001 : 381 2002 : 340 2003 : 254 So how do you guys think we should group them ? Please vote and/or put your "something else" opinion below. Thanks.

There will be also probably Ubik and Tequila (they were in the first 10 members of psynews back in the days)

If you wanna recognize some dudes, here are 2 ugly faces : Colin OOOD The first one is not relevant as you can't see his HUUUUUGE attributes....no gang bang lovers, you don't get it. I meant his dreads, believe me HUUUUUUUGE dreads, you definitely can't miss him. Mars This french face is me. Thin guy, 5.9" tall, jeans & white t-shirt with a ganesh on the front, usually anchored where the sound is the best in a room.

I remember SeOne, it has a big bar/cloakroom in the entrance, perfect place to meet inside, as the other rooms will be far too overcrowded. Else i know no pub around.

* Beware beware beef eaters * I'm coming to this Twisted party !!!! I hope to see you there "en chair et en os" How could we meet ?
-
The releases I could listen to forever are : Pleiadians - IFO (1997) Hallucinogen - Twisted (1995) Total Eclipse - Violent Relaxation (1996)

You know, I'm not Belgian, I'm French, living in Paris but I party more in Belgium than in Paris, just to stress how their parties can be good !!! The Wizard thing was only a joke. Sometimes I listen to old tracks and say "Oh God how trippy it is without any help !!" I second you, it's personal, and after all no drugs is no doubt the best choice.
-
OOOoooooh I do understand !!! Maybe you should pay yourself a trip to Belgium one of these days. There are still excellent GoaTrance activists there. I spent one of my very best parties in feb 2004 there, with no drugs, and only GoaTrance and galore smiles till noon By the way you most probably tried Slinky Wizard's "The Wizard" under the influence too. I wonder how it's possible to survive to that.

Oh I could spend the whole night detailing all those who did something great for PsyTrance back in the days (wow you released your 3rd album in 1996 Kristian), still you're definitely right. I met Children in february 2000 I think, but it will be Psynews birthday in a couple of weeks and maybe I'll tell you more then

I always wanted to start this thread also removed the tagline "it was starting to be serious" that The Journey Man, rightly, didn't agree with Well first 10 years ago I was still young but that's not the point here. 10 years ago I started listening to Goa Trance seriously. The first GoaTrance CD i had ever listened to was in june 95, thanks to my all-time friend Paco. We were on a week end and he had brought some CD mixed by DJ Tsuyoshi. In the end of 95 I bought the LSD EP from this almost unknown guy : Hallucinogen. Oh you could hear it on Fun Radio in France sometimes during the day (it's a very commercial radio now) as it was actually distributed by Sony Music itself !!! At that time I didn't understand why it was called LSD. Now I even fear to listen to it cause it could blow my head Hum, actually I loved the music and shortly after that, in early 96, I bought the full Twisted album that had been released in October 95 by the wonderful label Dragonfly Records. It was not alone, as the legendary Blue Room had also released at the same time Juno Reactor's Beyond the Infinite. Also that was the release year of Indoor's Progressive Trance (that name makes me smile now). Yeah with such diamonds, 95 was some turning point, no doubt. If you were a Dragonfly customer, it was kind of an event, and you could stay in touch with these mighty producers with some form like that : However, Ninety Six was truly a fantastic year for Psychedelic Trance as it became more widespread with releases such as Total Eclipse's Violent Relaxation, MFG's Prophecy, Transwave's Helium and Phototropic, Astral Projection's Trust in Trance Asia2001's Live, System7's Power of Seven, etc... I studied in Bordeaux at that time : what parties, My God, what parties we had in 96 with Total Eclipse, Moonweed and some local DJs, with everyone smiling all night, not even a second to breathe as we were literally torn by such beautiful and new music...raaaahhhhh !!! Also in France with their so particular marketing strength, you could find some funny advertisements from Techno Import like that : "Don't miss that event !', "The Trance Goa event of 96", "Psychedelic Trance like you've never heard it", "Available on CD and tape", "A psychedelic journey in the core of trance from which you won't return", "We fuck commercial music". They were poets Ah 10 years ago....already . I remember I spent the whole summer 96 tripping on the landscapes of Corsica with Goa Trance in my headphones. All looked shiny But I didn't write all this to tell my life; I wanted to send some very warm greetings to those who started and made so much happen just 10 years ago. Thanks.

Happy new year 2006 from the crew !!!

Please guys don't post to say bullshit. You have nothing to say, just don't post. To answer to the thread, i'd say on the one hand this is good cause there is more different music to listen to, on the other hand it's completely unbalanced with the size of the scene. It ends up on small sales and everything that's written on the "cd" thread....

Depends on lots of things. At each peer in the distributing chain, the price doubles. A label gets 6€ or so from a distrib, but the distrib also gets its part and the store too. If you guy a new release on psyshop for 12€ it's justified, if you pay 22€ in Virgin (I saw that) for Massive Attack's Mezzanine which was reprinted 10 times since 1998, then this is theft.

If there is someone lying here, this is not me. If there is someone who should really learn how to read, this is not me either. Grow Rain, grow.

Hi If after the server hack you had your account wiped and you see all your old posts with no nockname facing it, and want them linked to you again, then : 1) recreate an account if not done already... 2) PM or email me and point me to one old post or thread of yours. I'll do what's needed to the database. Thx to MadeInRealtime for pushing me to do the procedure Bye

Suntrip looking for advertisement contacts

Interesting comments of Traveller behind, by the way................... SO WHAT ? Nobody yet but Guy Cohen blabla ? -
Pretty well commented on i must say, i totally agree. All the tracks have the Shift signature with these mad scratching sounds. Half of the tracks have little silly melodies like Shift always does. Imo the best driving track is the first one, very surprising, and thrilling, but they're all equal in terms of music. Yeah quite a good album, although i think Twisted System and Shift alone do it better. 6/10 (this is a good mark for me nowadays)

I don't understand. Who is this ? Where ? What is the joke ? -
Unfiltered is the opener of Heliopolis, and it's mastered by Tim Schuldt now ! Personally i've heard Navigate Live Rmx twice in parties where Filteria played, it was pure madness but since this summer he added his Lunar Civilization Rmx after it...raaaahhhhgh if you could have seen the dancefloor Now rush on the extracts of the forthcoming album, listen, imagine there are live remixes of half of these and tell us you will do anything to invite Filteria to some party where you live

Hi Suntrip Records is looking for people around the world who could help us promote our releases, basis that is : - promote our artists to local party promoters - receive and distribute (in shops+parties) our flyers, stickers & posters on each release We need reliable people that would be available for each of our releases, not only once. The reward would be...well...our releases i guess. We need people in every country where there is psytrance (except FR, BE, SE because we're there already). We have an advertising campaign starting on January 1st for the new Filteria album, so this is important for us. contacts france : mars[at]suntriprecords[dot]com belgium : anoebis[at]suntriprecords[dot]com

It's temporary, time needed to fix some security flaw in it.
