  1. 01. Automatik 08:02 02. Inner Space (Live Mix) 07:45 03. Eros 08:21 04. Machine 09:09 05. Planet X 09:19 06. B.A.S 06:51 07. Sharp 07:29 08. Photonic 10:25 09. Fade 06:17 Here is a review of this looong awaited album after the violent Chrome and 2 years of silence. Ok i was a bit tense while pressing play as i saw them live 4 times since Chrome and it wasn't a blast each time...PLAY Automatik sounds like the Nitrox tracks. It's honest for an intro though it has some house/trance influences sometimes. It's between many things and not my cup of tea. InnerSpace Live isn't so different from the original. In addition it has some full on influences by moments, but it's weak overall as it sounds like GMS 3 years ago when they were really tired... Eros has a nice intro that climbs into your spine, samples and background sounds give immediately a good feeling. It's a cool track, not too fast, not too slow. Well because of the instruments it reminds me of lots of other tracks for the last 2 years from Etnica. After 3 minutes you get a nice climax, very smooth, superb track to dance on at sunrise ! At 4.40 you're deceived by a break which gets to nothing. At 5.40 starts a new melody that will follow you till the end. Rhaaaaa this screwed-up break ruins the track imo. Machine starts immediately with a melody that shuts up too early. Quite an interrogate track here. good rhythmic, small mysterious sounds...It seems the track is hogging, throwing parts of melodies, more and more, yeah ! You're waiting for the big climax...COME ON GUYS ! Rhaaa NO not this time....Ok it still builds up well and suddenly gets some Etnica-in-da-house influences. How strange. 4.40-Break but it's restarting like before. It also has some Wrecked Machines influences. At 6.30 a big climax raises a bit like in Photonic, more housy. Planet X has a robotic atmosphere, a good rhythmic, it tends to climb...here are the typical sounds from nowaday's Etnica : a small melody using "Ibiza" kinds of sounds, you see At 4.20 break and melody come that drives the track pretty well to a decent groove. Yes this one does the job ! Close to 7 minutes there is a climax coming, really well built but it get a bit too regular-trance oriented for my tastes. It's also close to Photonic in the way the melodic part rolls out. B.A.S Oh this one is serious. Live, at night, it must blast people. Here is the return of tracks like Warriors or True Protoss Warrior...but what is that Electric Universe melody coming ??? Amazing. Oh yes as usual it continues linearly focused on the rhythmic part. No matter how this track feels good. Oh and it made me think about Chrome, as it's serious, but also to Joseph Richard's soundtrack for Speedball 2 video game It's twisted and cool, boiling, yeah a night blaster ! Sharp goes down and deep like a submarine. don't be afraid it's definitely not Das Boot. Long samples and hypnotic influences raise at 3.30 before a break near 3.50. It sounds mysterious...Then it restarts followed by the melody. There is a bit too much intertia close to the end but let's forgive it it's quite an hypnotizing track, no need to overload. Photonic the one you're all waiting for ! Hmm so this track finally ended up on their album as Etnica (and not Pleiadians) after 2 years and a half. It's a regular track with all the same sounds and influences than the rest of the album, but more sharp ™. Two linear and very atmospheric parts with a few housy patterns are separated by a huge melodic climax. It definitely works on a danceflor at 8am ! I noticed they edited the track from the version i had before. the background elements are definitely more groovy and catchy now. good work. OK after a few listenings you realize it's not such an elaborate track but it's good. Fade is expected to be the ambien track, and awaited too as the two sharped Italians are very good at it. This track is ambient, tribal, kicks anyway, has an atmospheric background, could have fit well into Equator. But at 3:00 you realize it's the remake of Fade to Gray by Visage (1980). Well it's ok but an original ambient track was easily affordable to Etnica...Well well well...well well well... Conclusion : Sharp....Sharp ? Sharp what ? On the contrary i think this is a pretty smooth album. The least we can say is that it's really well mixed and mastered. Musically speakink, this is really a huge change compared to Chrome, a 180° turn, a total different point of view by Etnica ! Less harsh, more housy, more melodic as well (wasn't difficult), there is a good research on the sounds and melodies. This is the first album in weeks i listen that doesn't have all those Full On booooring artefacts. In my opinion the second half of the album is real good, far better that the first. So, this album could have been twice as better : in some the tracks tend to climb, there are good breaks, good melodies, but not much that send you in the air. Don't get me wrong, compared to all the ful on (put the 4-letter word you prefer), this album is a masterpiece. My regret is that i got the feeling it wasn't going all the time to the end of things. I am sure you can do better guys, Come on ETNICA ! 7/10. ps : i have a private message to someone that will recognize himself : MorRRe sharRp soundzZz !!! héhéhéhéhéhé
  2. Release date is set for November 22nd ! 3 weeks to go.
  3. I know but as a new label we have to promote by any possible means.
  4. Hi We are proud to present you our latest creation : It is called Suntrip www.suntriprecords.com The label Suntrip Records was set up in the summer of 2004 by me, and Joske "Anoebis" , a famous Belgian DJ and party-organiser, also well known here. We met for the first time in 2000, for a party, and since then we gather regularly, sharing the same love for melodic psychedelic trance. Because during the last three years "full on" releases were getting more and more stereotyped, we started talking about creating a label, so as to release more melodic psy-trance like in the good old times, but with modern production. When I discovered Filteria from Sweden, I believed in the quality of this melodic psychedelic trance artist and soon the first steps were set. Before you ask, psynews and suntrip are independent. The first Suntrip release is Filteria's Sky Input album. It's already announced on several online shops Psyshop Chaos Unlimited Trance-Shop BeatSpace Filteria - Sky Input Tracklist (go to : extracts) 1 Operation Pulse 10:34 144 BPM 2 Stars (StarStuff Remix) 09:42 146 BPM 3 Navigate 08:25 148 BPM 4 The Snuggling Snail 09:01 144 BPM 5 Domestic Modulator 09:04 144 BPM 6 Ultimator ! 11:03 146 BPM 7 Galactic Rays 09:14 147 BPM 8 Sky Input 07:46 146 BPM Total time : 74:59 Style : Crazy melodic psychedelic trance. Mastering : Tim Schuldt @ 4CN Studios Artwork : Ukiro @ Ukiro.com Cat no : SUNCD01 Format : CD Release Date : Nov 22nd 2004 Words Forget about stereotyped formatted boring Psytrance, forget about the repetitiveness, Filteria has the truly melodic blasting sound we've been waiting for years ! We hope you'll enjoy this music that we believe has a real psychedelic heart ! Go to : Filteria profile Tracks information 1 Operation Pulse Spacey morning track with a real long sunshine intro. Not too much power...just what's needed for a live jumpstart. Well, after 3 minutes you get a one way ticket to the Stars ! 2 Stars (StarStuff Remix) Massive eastern melodies. Almost 10 minutes of madness and psychedelia. Four versions exist, two live ones, this one is something between the original made in January and the live remix for some act in May. 3 Navigate Very intense chemical-free trip with never-heard-before Jupiter6 distortions and lots of overdrive-self-ignition tweaked melodic parts. You are warned ! 4 The Snuggling Snail "I watched the snail crawl along..." Kinda unique track you have to judge by yourself. It was successfully tested on several crowds. Many many melodies... 5 Domestic Modulator An absolutely demented piece of music to begin with the second half of the album. Prepare for the oxygen warp into a mental vortex passing stars towards your internal horizon, riding colourful melodies. 6 Ultimator ! The name says it all. We believe this is one of the most intense pieces Filteria has ever created. Screaming lines everywhere, melodies coming from all directions... Changing all the time, twisting, twirling... 7 Galactic Rays Maaaaaaad !!! Over 8 main galactic melodies...Surviving to this one on a dance floor is some kind of challenge ! Took three days to make, six to mix it. 8 Sky Input Inspired by the sunset & sunrise of the Greek island Santorini. First tested on the Belgian dance floor, it gave lots of screaming and happy faces. Atmospheric, beautiful, and insane melodies at the same time.
  5. For the melodic album, the "thus far" phrase is well chosen : http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/sut/sut1cd001.html Believe me, prepare yourself, this is electrocution at brain level !
  6. I only buy a few times a year. I make a big wishlist and every 3-4 months i place a 100€ order mainly on Psyshop or Saikosounds depending on the stocks and also sometimes on trance-shop and chaosunlimited. Else, Techno Import in Paris is far too expensive now. When i go to London, i happen to buy something at AccessAllAreas, but that's mainly online shops for me.
  7. You MUST listen to IFO ! This is pure psychohallucinogenicheavenmusic, with no side effects.
  8. I'm very furious after that Bag ! Let's summarize : 15 tracks minus 1 intro, minus (at least) 7 released tracks, makes 7 badly mixed tracks....really badly mixed...and not mixed at all sometimes. Just put your hear on 34:50 and realize what Raja Ram dares to release.... I just can't believe he is so lazy that he doesnt restart from the begining when he trashes a mix. That day, Raja Ram got up and thought : "Yaaaaaawn....hips...what the hell am i going to do to destroy psytrance today ? Oooh i'm gonna pack a 'Raja Ram's Shits Bag 3' !!! Let's have a look at the garbage i collected in the past months (years)...that, that, that...ok i have enough, let's mix...but before let's have a little drop to feel good...drop-drop-drop-drop-drop...oups !! hihihihihéhéhéhéwoaaah -click REC- BOOM BOOM BOOM toudoudoudoudyouuuu ! yeaaaah ! BOOM BOOM BOOMBOBOBOBMBOBMBCRRZZ....ooh i fucked up a mix ! baaaah don't need to redo it, the distributors and the people people would buy all shit i'm releasing anyway....oups i fucked up another mix, bha..." About the tracks themselves ? The feeling of listening to one track in the first 45 minutes, including some 2 year old stuff and that shit-popcorn-silly-remix. Then, you have the now unavoidable guitar track, then one D-I-N-O-O-O track that doesn't know itself why it's here, and that makes the occasion for not mixing with the next track again, and follows 15 minutes of not so bad full on, but you're so tired of that compilation that you can't appreciate anything anymore. RHAAA Raja, come on, be serious would get 4/10 if it was well mixed, so deserves 3/10; forget that one.
  9. There is one track i like at ~18 min. Else this is pretty common full on business
  10. And this is not Full on in my mind. This is mad stuff but not cliché Israeli full on.
  11. Depends on the way they chose to produce their cds. It's possible to press a CD for 1.25€ if you press them by 2000, but not when you press them by 450. And the guys might not have the best connections. Anyway this sounds like a good cd.
  12. Hi, Across the various running infos and discoveries on the internet i found Nabi Records This is a new small label from Paris. They pressed 450 copies of their first compil : VA - 148 01. Blisargon Demogorgon - 15 Minutes 02. Para Halu - Bug in your Mind 03. N3XU5 - From the Past 04. Dejan - Phonekey 05. Toxic - Bad News 06. Bug Funk - Fu Zin 07. Dejan - Morphosis 08. Bug Funk - Kamui 09. Datakult - Liquid Genocid 10. .0.0.0. - Domina The choice of the tracks is very good imo (crazy but wonderful stuff), and the probuction is great ! So this is worth buying. The compil is for sale on their site ONLY http://www.nabi-records.com/ as they are auto-distributing themselves... It's a shame it's already ripped by pirates whereas there are only 50 copies sold as of today, that's why i'm helping them.
  13. I dislike "Full on". This has become like an insult to me when someone says "Full On" in front of me. Can't understand so many people still like the same overrepeating music after 3 years... Recently i was a guy saying (about CPU) "ohh this is boring", then he took a bit of speed and immediately went on the dancefloor.................... Before psy was for people on acid, now it's for people on speed.
  14. The Astrix one is indeed typical shitfullon and i think 22 euros minus the normal price for the IM is still really several times what the Astrix album is worth. But while i'm thinking about it, it is an affair for YOU or for THEM ? A way for YOU to get 2 cds for cheaper than if separated, or a way for THEM to get rid of scores of Astrix ablums THEY ordered to press while on speed ? Sorry, really can't stand Fullon anymore.
  15. I was not so amazed by the album when it was released, but after seeing the guy live under dozens of KHz, i understood many things. Now i think this album is good. Not wonderful, but definitely worth it !
  16. The only tracks on which i had a reaction, ok, let's say a positive reaction were the one involving Space Cat and the John 00 Flemming one. Else this is...yet still again full-on bad copy-n-paste mediocrity 3/10
  17. it's almost ok now....grrrrr still
  18. As you can see this forum has changed...i lost some files (my mistake), including the skin and all the avatars. I'll rebuild the skin soon. As for the avatars, please upload your images again...don't forget that if you don't have a copy, you may still have it in your cache ! mars.
  19. I met mine on a party but not "picked-up"...we dated several months later
  20. Yeah Erez started at 14, no ? Also : Filteria, just 21 and an album due to this year
  21. Just wanna warn people about some faces.
  22. Hi, You may know there were lots of robberies at the Boom Festival this year. Like many others, one of our core members, Benoît Skytrancer was stolen his money, Credit card, driving license, phone, camera.... However some of the thieves were caught by one way or another and Benoît could recover his phone and camera....and on the camera he found photos he hadn't taken. Here they are : These guys are obviouly those who got the camera and probably the other things as well. Looking at the photos it seems they had a camping car at the festival. If one of you has any information on these guys, please contact us. mars@psynews.org or skytrancer@hotmail.com Thanks.
  23. All tracks using this sample are full on. actually all tracks not using this sample too.
