  1. Yeah that was the only short album I could think of. Great album. But what if an artist has composed 40 minutes of awesome music, stuff that will surely be considered as unforgettable classics. Then his inspiration stops. Should he fill the rest of the space with mediocre material? If you ask me, he shouldn't. He shouldn't feel that he has to make more stuff, just to get to the 70 minutes. 40 minutes of great stuff is better than 40 minutes of great stuff plus 40 minutes of fillers.
  2. Tuu One of the best ambient artists I know of, if not the best. Incredibly beautiful. Lots of different percussion, flutes, and layers of otherworldy synths. I guess the cds are hard to find, so I recommend some try-before-you-buy-downloading Especially check out the tracks on All Our Ancestors
  3. I was talking with my friend, who's been listening to some of my psytrance & ambient stuff, about the length of the albums. I haven't really thought about it, but there really are no psytrance albums under 60 minutes. Is it because the genre has born in the cd era, so that artists have always had 80 minutes of space to fill? Or is it because the tracks are so long (to induce the "trance" the genre is all about) and it would look stupid to have only 5 tracks on an album? What if some artist would release an album under 60 minutes of length? People would bash them for sure, for ripping the listeners off, not giving them their money's worth. Isn't it wrong to have such restrictions for musicians, not giving them full artistic freedom? Isn't this supposed to be an open-minded scene?

    Ticon - 2AM

I put that picture there partly to cause some stir, and partly because I really felt like that. This was a really bad album in my opinion, in every sense, so I don't think I should put anything else than a pic like that to express my opinion. And I hope that everyone knows that I have an extremely wide musical taste, varying from folk, country rock, pop, reggae and to psytrance. But this album was so mindnumbingly lame that it didn't hit any part of my musical taste. And I'm sorry Nemo, I know you are really a very objective person and all, but the way you wrote gives the idea that no bad words for Ticon are allowed in this topic. I thought that the point of having a review topic is to have all kinds of opinions. Sorry if I offended someone But nothing changes the fact that this album was a foul, uninspired pile of crap.

    Ticon - 2AM

I think this really represents what I felt about this album:
  6. FLAME WARNING. Just listened to the newest album. Thank god it's over. Surely one of the worst album's I've heard in a while. Right down there on the terrible-scale with the two Cradle Of Filth-albums I listened to. I've heard every aspect of that album before. Don't get me wrong, I sometimes enjoy electrohouse at parties, but it's so overplayed nowadays that it makes me sick. How is this possible: 1st album: Awesome. One of my oldest favourites. 2nd album: Nice. Couple of incredibly good tracks, the rest average. 3rd album: Mediocre. Couple of decent tracks, the rest forgettable. 4th album: Crap Of The Worst Kind. Not a single good note or sound.
