  1. I've read some Lovecraft but I don't know much about that mythology. Now I'm reading Robert Shea & R. A. Wilson's Illuminatus 1, and it's got something to do with Cthulhu. Its sort of conspiracy theory parody but you should try it still, it's hilarious!
  2. If you don't want any melodies, try Pan Sonic - Vakio or Otomo Yoshihide - Cathode (but they're not smooth at all)
  3. The best album for sleeping is definitely Brian Eno - Music For Airports. Other good ambient: Klaus Schulze - Mirage Robert Rich & Brian Lustmord - Stalker Siniaalto - Siniaalto
  4. Hux Flux - Bring Your Own Bios Prime Time Plastix - Nep-tune
  5. Definitely Planet BEN - Trippy Future Garden!
  6. That's one of my favourites too!
  7. The Fairy Tale has one of the best synth line I've ever heard, even though it sounds a bit old (but in a good way). It has that nice "rave-synth" sound of that time but it is structurally not irritating like almost all of those rave-synth lines. The melody is incredibly simple, yet so captivating. I had been thinking of posting a topic about that track, but never got to it... Incredible track, and a good album!!
  8. Ticon - Gurk Birk Bigwigs - Quo Vadis Infected Mushroom - Noise Maker Atmos - Cable Enable Atmos - Fill The Hat
  9. Hels you must be talkin about Hux Flux - Tripple Nipple
  10. Have you heard album Closer? The vocal sample on the first track (Ask Yourself) was fucking awesome, it really scared me when I first heard it.
  11. Yeah, My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts is good also, especially the last tracks. I wouldn't call it pure ambient though, it's more like prog rock IMO...
  12. Yeah, forgot The Delta - Send In Send Back... Brilliant!
  13. This is pretty good! My favourite is The Orange Theme, love the melody and the fast rhythm...
  14. Shadow of The Beast is melodic, not progressive IMO...
  15. Native Radio - Chiba City Blues FX Progressive Trance (Iboga Records)
  16. I've heard a remix of Oxygene, it was melodic trance though...
  17. Psy: Krumelur - Minimal Animal Beat Bizarre - Lewd Other: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Murder Ballads Robert Rich & Brian Lustmord - Stalker Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon Massive Attack - Blue Lines Massive Attack - Protection Massive Attack - 100th Window
  18. Emok Coyle & Jokke - Cex Native Radio - Chiba City Blues Son Kite - Sunset Street
  19. Couple of years ago I downloaded this track: krumelur - mindblock and arrest. Yesterday I found a cd where I had burned that track, and I listened it again, after a long time. I realised that it is very far from Krumelur's style on the album Minimal Animal, so i doubt it is Krumelur. The track is melodic, and a little bad quality, so I think it may be played live or the production is a little weak. It has a male vocal sample that says: "attention all stations, we have a temporary... (?????????) ...is getting into a critical phaze..." I can't make out all of it. Then there is a female voice that says something that sounds like "this mindblock". This is repeated a few times and then a female voice says something like: "last went monitored". Can't make it out either. Right after that starts a nice melody that sounds like it's played with a electric guitar with lots of lo-fi distortion. Screeches of that sound is heard throughout the first minutes of the track. So what is that track? Is it really Krumelur or something else?
  20. Yeah, Zeit is good, so is Phaedra and Rubycon. Klaus Schulze is also good, his best from what I know is Mirage. Try also: Amon Düül II - Phallus Dei. That's psychedelic rock from 1969. The last track, Phallus Dei is 20 minutes of pure madness!
  21. Etnica - Time Dilation I've never heard anyone say anything good on it, and I think it is the best oldschool goa you can find...
