  1. Once upon a time, there was Mystery of the Yeti ... (skip forward) ... then there was Shpongle..... (skip forward) ... then there was Entheogenic ... (freeze frame) ... then everybody sounded alike. Basically psychill is the chillout genre that originated from goa/psytrance. Very recognizable, lots of ethnic samples, instruments, beats are a lot alike, etc. etc. You know it when you hear it. I guess.
  2. amen brother, amen.

  5. Look. If you´ve been to a party you cannot deny there are good and there are bad dj´s. And yes, they play someone else´s music and yes producing is more difficult than dj/ing, but nonetheless it is a very decisive factor when it comes to the quality of the party. And simply because electronic music is made to make people dance. Well, if someone does not have a clue as to what music to play, to feel what the crowd wants, to create something 'new', than he can truly fuck up the atmosphere. Oh wait, I'm going into an age-old discussion here. So. I agree: no worshipping dj's. Doesn't make sense. But for that matter: worshipping no matter who else does not seem to make that much sense either. Why would you and what would it add? But saying dj-ing is not a skill is simply envious and untrue.

  19. I did, took em about three weeks I guess... had one wrong cd but as soon as I found out, I sent them an email and they refunded the money back to my account and told me I could 'dispose' of the other cd. All in all I'm very happy with them, I also made a feedbackthingie for em... here >> http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=41277
  20. Faze is the man! I had already won a cd with him and he even sent me an extra one... despite the fact that I really disliked it (cause it wasn't at all his fault of course, hehehe) I am still amazed about his niceness. Long live faze!
  21. True, but that is exactly why it gets worse and worse each time.. the more you use the same old samples, the sillier it sounds. And yeah, it was a great track until that point. Too bad, eh? And am I right there's only 10 tracks on the album? [edit] wow, it's been a while but I sincerely love this album! Greatness, reminds me of the Floating Point series. Seriously though, I haven't really admired a psychill album for a while, but this one does the trick. Is going to be on my next to-buy-list! [/edit]
