  1. ATCQ and Jurassic5 rule ! he meant rappers. that's true.. but these kids listen to POP-hop i would say., more BS IMO, there are thousands of styles and there's still individuality, not just "angst-ridden sound and lyrics" .. but indeed it's distorted as EVERYTHING has been distorted from rock to "psytrance". it's very simple.. you can say you dont like it as a sound [ the beat, rhythm etc] but you cannot generalise by saying it's not intelligent blah blah. In other ways, you can simply tell you cant relate to it. No Problem. But anyways why not give it one more try and check some of the albums recommended here?
  2. Fast or slow, music is what matters.

  6. I dont like eminem. he's one of the many responsible for hiphop turning into POP[it's Pop music nowadays, similarly that mostly todays "psy" is also "pop"...] personally.. if i was to recommend something intelligent and musically interestng from the hiphop genre it would be : MOS DEF - BLACK ON BOTH SIDES TALIB KWELI & HI-TEK - REFLECTION ETERNAL (TRAIN OF THOUGHTS) ANTI-POP CONSORTIUM - ARRYTHMIA (WARP RECORDS) ATMOSPHERE - GOD LOVES UGLY Prefuse - One Word Extiguisher [WARP RECORDS, experimental] Big L - Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous [old street hiphop, great skillz] Juggaknots - Clear Blue Skies (perfect) AESOP ROCK - FLOAT Phi Life Cypher - Metaphor [ UK Hiphop] I rarely listen to these nowadays cuz i am exploring other genres now but i like them nevertheless...
  7. Irony is you are similarly narrow-minded cuz you are arrogant and dont allow anything from hiphop..// i could give you e.g 10 good albums to check but i doubt you would do it anyways you should 1)Open Your Mind 2)Open Your Ears or 1)Open Your Ears 2)Open Your Mind dont know what's going first
  8. thnx havent heard of them will try to check them out

  12. well if you buy oldskool mostly... artists dont get any %$ from these i think... especially if we're talking second-handed cd's, artists/labels get nothing. aynewaz blah blah blah blah +rls
  13. Project Genesis full-on? :S nah New KInd Of World neither... wouldnt say so... The Message did have a full-on touch however
  14. "RIP" wasnt meant to be taken in a literal way
  15. ah so you want old skool goa.. here we go i will just name a few for now albums and eps/singles California Sunshine - Sinking Sand (2003) California Sunshine - Nasha (1997) MFG - The Prophecy (1996) Psychopod - Headlines EP Hux Flux - Time Slices & Perceptor EP (1998) Ominus - Ominus(1996 i think , cant remember for sure)
  16. I think that buying oldskool releases[second-hand.. of course] has collector's value only.. meaning that the artists dont get any support anyway..[that goes for all second-hand bought cd's..]
  17. on your way home will you drop me 10 g's of Purple Haze?
