  1. well here most people refer to music/parties as "psy/psychedelic"...
  2. blowing what? btw pretty accurate description i would say...
  3. well most of the downtempo stuff released as "psychil/psyambient" is a bit different from ambient made since early 80s, or even earlier , and until very recently... try to listen to some albums by Vir Unis, Steve Roach, Robert Rich , Vidna Obmana, Pete Namlook.... mostly beatless but not necessarily... anyways i cant figure out which albums you have in the other categories e.g Experimental or the (real) beatless category you have ther.e.
  4. Planet BEN under Psychedelic Progressive trance? hmm i dont think so also in OLD SKOOL AMBIENT maybe you should include Ambient pioneers such as Vidna Obmana or Robert Rich or Klaus Schultze or Namlook etc...
  5. Jesus Shpongle now,seriously Which shpongle album are you comparing this to? In My H Opinion , according to my taste Shulman is more preferrable...
  6. i get the feeling that i am up in the sky kissing the clouds but i need to pee.
  7. i would say the problem is that there are NO/VERY FEW serious musicians today, whereas in the past they were SERIOUS TRIPPERS MUSICIANS. I think music is not only meant to be fun.
  8. sherl, oldskool is usually not that fast <= 140 BMP most of the time..
  9. well personally i wouldnt call Droidlock - Elefantronika {2005} full-on
  10. it's indeed very nice but you guyz are exaggerating...
  11. yes, indid... np 06_HALLUCINOGEN-Angelic particles (Buckminster fullerine mix) it's nice enough.
  12. well i guess this should be corrected, since chill/ambient/IDM/dub/prog/whatever electronica/abstract/ albums can also be reviewed eh
  13. shame on you :S especially for the last two
  14. well, if you think of it with a more openminded, a formula is everywhere less or more, you think old skool goa releases dont follow some formula? matter is whether and which style[let's say formula] you prefer, mosts albums have a lot in common ,logical as it is, each style has some certain characteristics.. now, copy+pasting is another thing.... But indeed probably in pre-2000 era there was more creativity and variation between releases, i can understand your point but i just wanted to point out some thoughts of mine...
  15. well MFG's last album was The Message, which was not as great as e.g The Prophecy , but quite listenable, and rather above average. I hope their new early 2006 album is not a flop though... :}
  16. Their new album hasnt yet been released, but we can get an idea from their live acts eh ? oh, and everything seemed to go wrong after Ten Remixes album , even a bit earlier.. you shouldnt because new MFG album seems to be much better[judging from the one track they gave for free], while Astral P are likely to be this scene's greatest dissapointment..[after Raja Ram of course, used to be in The Infinity Project and now he's spinning Skazi-Seek&Destroy, OMG the godfather.]
