your poll lacks an option - "Both". anywayz i have mostly albums but compilations can be equally good as well... but usually an album is more :"tied together" if you know what i mean.
-
exactly, easygoing background music... i think it's not ultra-trippy or dancefloor killer or anything close ... but it's good relaxing melodic music...

but anywayz i am going to keep a record. also would like to add that it would be better if you avoided looking at databases etc if you happen to know a track title but dont remember the artists/album -

ok to make it more interesting i have come up with a point system.. 1)Each person that finds Artist Name gets +1 points 2)Each person that finds Track Title gets +1 points 3)Each person that finds album gets +1 points 4) {it's more than obvious that someone that finds all of the above gets 3 points } 5)If a person fails to find artist name, then the user that posted the sample gets +1 points 6)If a person fails to find track title, the user that posted the sample gets +1 points.. For example: Let's suppose that my sample is SKAZI - XTC from ANIMAL album[dont know if that's true, just for the example's sake] 1)so, let's say USER_X says the sample is SKAZI - XTC but doesn refer to the album[so admits he doesn know it and chooses not to make a wild guess]. Then, he will get +2 points, while i will get 0 points. 2)BUT, if he says that sample is SKAZI - XTC from the "ANAL TRANCE COMPILATION" , then he will get +2 points and i will get +1 points cuz he chose to guess the album to and made a mistake... clear enough?> etc etc i think you are smart enough therefore you got it so better write the number of points in each post of you so that there's no confuse If a sample is still not found after 3days[72hours] then the user that posted it gets an extra +10,and he choses the user that he wants to post a sample.[in the last day he has to give a small tip or sth P.s. First to 100 points win. or should i say first to 303 points win? well, we'll see... -
ok i bet it doesnt need no further explanation, but i will explain it If you find which track the sample is taken from, you wait for the posters confirmation and then you are to upload a new sample and keep the game moving.[He has to find all 3 elements to continue --- check below ---] {Also remember to edit out any mp3 TAGS of the samples you post... heh!!!} Well i suggest that we mainly limit this to Electronica[Psychedelic Goa/ambient/chill-out/prog] tracks.. And let the sample be relatively short, e.g no more than ~1 -1,5 minutes I'll do the start with a very easy one: =-=-= FIND IT =-=-= !!! {Found by PsyGoatDelic} To make it clear, you need to write: 1)Artist Name 2)Track Title 3) Album/Compilation[thus released material only ] =-=-=-=-=-=-= SCOREBOARD =-=-=-=-=-=- PsyGoatDelic: 51 points nick_InZoMNiAC: 7 points Manuser: 18 points X-Scream: 27 points McKoy: 10 points Frontier Psychiatrist: 10 points Nightmare Trancer: 13 points staffan: 6 points Kai-Q: 32 points Rain: 4 points Astro Cortex: 5 points =-=-=-=-=-=-= SCOREBOARD =-=-=-=-=-=-

Eminem is the Skazi Of Hiphop.

Cities Of The Future is probably amongst the gayest tracks i have ever heard. but yeah, it's probably considered a killer between the fans of the new genre IM invented... PSYPOP. yaeh, pioneers...
-
IMHO it's good, although not very aggresive or energetic goa style which i like best for goa, and yeah some tracks are just fillers. gets a 7/10 for me.
-
yeah, average sucky full-on...

What music are you listening to right now?
Time_Trap replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
JUNO REACTOR - LABYRINTH listened to the whole album today again after some time... so fuckin' brilliant ! -
ehh.. i think you overdid it I would say that electronica is more about composing/producing while metal is mostly about playing live. an electric guitar sounds shit compared to electronica sounds.... hmm ..maybe sometimes... maybe you shouldnt compare.. it sure sounds shit compared to a classical guitar
-
lol yeah.. unwise...
-
no no no fucking no! Get him the new Jaia instead
-
true! btw i love the sample at Electric Universe - The Prayer
-
i like Hendrix a lot. still wouldnt even call it "trippy". it's not the kind of music that will allow me to clear all thoughts off my mind and just listen and trip.
-
eh.l.. so what? i am talking about music itself. psychedelics is mainly for psychedelic of course even classical music such as Debussy can be quite trippoy under the right circumstances. agia, btw, re-edited a part of my post. there are artists such as Juno Reactor that you could say play Live[still not 100% live, but there are percussionists, singers and all that] and even Massive Attack arent 100% live . EDIT#: [offtopic] i liked an old collab. track Massive Attach feat. Mos Def {Mos Def & Massive Attack - I Against I} however i find their album "Protection" to be verrry lame... at least i didnt like it at all, especially the singing ...
-
Underground defined as what? Less comercial? And being more underground automatically means it's better? guess no... Don't tell me you wont listen to Chi-A.D. - Infinitism or MFG - The Prophecy but listen to some grindcore instead... About the live part, you have a point. I know this is i play the classical guitar and lives and such can be really stressful and hard, no matter how much you have practiced. but that's not just about psy, but ALL electronica genres. And one could say that in electronica the hard part is creating your own sounds, experimenting, trying to learn about sound engineering and mastering and production in general[of course if you are some serious producer, not if you are Skazi ] I dont like full-on, with some exceptions[e.g Electric Universe - Cosmic Experience]...Shift - Excession was not a bad album too. oh, and psychedelic goa is one thing that metal isn't.... : TRIPPY
-
long track Your production quality is pretty good taking into account that you use FL, though rewiring it with Cubase would be of great benefit. Maybe you should try changing pan in some sounds [from Left to Right and vice versa] btw didnt find it any dark but that's okay generally i would say that the track is listenable and nice, though would expect something more energetic and more things going on.
-
I simply dont get their fucking screaming and such, i mean ok, sometimes i really like the guitars and drums, but the screams and voice make me puke. so i usually enjoy some metal until the singer comes in. Oh, and metalheads that say things like "Send the rave to the grave" or "Goa is for faggots" get on my nervers equally or even more than Skazi-trancers. Wouldnt say so - e.g check tracks that are mainly about creating an atmosphere, e.g MFG - Metamorphosis depends on what is your definition of melodic trance. creating trippy non-cheesy melodies isnt easy. believe me. And of course in electronia there's the whole mastering/production quality factor.
-
The sample at about 0.30 gets in very lody and generally it sounds a bit too loud to me all in all not a bad track, i cant comment as it's too short [1min] for an ambient track to comment, didn even listen to your percussions anywayz maybe try to create a more psychedelic atmosphere and give it some depth
-
Nice compilation all in all, my favorite is the Ka-sol track and then the Lost Bhudda - Metamorphosis follows. 8/10 from me
-
True to an extent, yet i dont think that most death/grindcore/wtf- metal bands are more musicians than MFG or Chi-A.D
