They used the wrong drugs or overdid it .Not all drugs are the same btw. Each substance is different. It's wrong to say all drugs are bad just because of bad experiences. I have also had bad experiences with substances but I don't blame it on all substances nor do I think they are the devil. As most things, there are pros and cons .

Wrong. When the scene was alive & kicking, again the majority did psychedelic drugs. It can also be a POSITIVE influence at times.

@ healium : I don't agree that much with your theory, because there are artists that have produced trippy & psychedelic music without having taken any substances in their life. MFG is a good example of that.

Dunes Of Gold doesn't seem that exciting to me... rather dull.

Example of good 100% successfully integrated remix : Psykovsky. He even remixed Bob Dylan - Lay lady lay in his Debut album, but it was perfectly done and didn't reduce the psychedelia but quite the opposite. The Riktam & Bansi remix above is a disgrace, utter shit. Same for the Britney Spears remix , the Madonna remix etc. The best guitar use is Electric Universe - Meteor .

Well I disagree with the rest of the reviewers here. Today I just listened to Leaving Home and Altered - Second Movements , one after the other. I have to say that I enjoyed Leaving Home much more. One thing that is not mentioned here is that Altered - Second Movements is beatless while Leaving Home has some nice beats & rhythms. Altered - Second Movements is not bad beatless ambient, quite the contrary, some tracks are above average while some tracks and parts are mostly filler or just decent/average.Generally I enjoyed the first tracks of the album more. I think Solar Fields should stick to psychill/downtempo music with beats, because he is so much better at this realm. He is good at beatless ambient too, certainly not bad, but compared to other ambient producers such as Steve Roach, Robert Rich, Vidna Obmana, Biosphere, Vir Unis (which are pioneers and masters of the genre) or to ambient producers such as Maitreya, Deepspace,Telomere, he is nowhere close. I have to disagree with this, to me it was a rather indifferent track and kind of cheesy too. So, all in all Leaving Home : 9/10 Altered - Second Movements : 6.5/10

What do you mean psychedelic trance experience? Trance aka ecstacy is a state you can reach through dancing to trancy beats, usually but not exclusively under the influence of psychedelic drugs. Btw I didn't find the track that special, Psykovsky does way better than this.

This album totally sucks, Miko has succeeded in completely defacing old classic goa tracks like Rain and Alala. Talking about true destruction. Inacceptable.

I can send you the Live In Barcelona , it's sooo much better than the album. The album is just decent but nothing amazing.

Alienated Buddha I have a live named "Live In Barcelona" really good. Also check their only album, Inpsyde.

Found it boring to be honest... It's worst than Leylines and much worse than Season 5, if I am to make a comparison ...
