  1. leaving experimental stuff outside, even in house i think the kick is the dominant element, setting the rhythm etc.
  2. oh... I guess because it's the most predominant element .
  3. yup, although i don't use last.fm's radio, I only like it for scrobbling and for social networking, so I dont really care that much. what are your last.fm's btw... ? ( @ psytones, @psytimeofurlife i think i have u already -] )
  4. They are similar, no question, but the topic is about people that think all music with a kick is the same because they can only listen to the kick ?? =P
  5. nop, i have listened to this kind of electronica almost for an eternity... =P and no, it's not their debut.
  6. well they ARE similar ( not the same but similar) , since they have 4x4 beat and rather similar drum structure/patterns Of course to us sometimes the difference between different genres or between tracks of the same genre even, might seem huge, due to the different blend of all the layers and rhytms etc. Remember that in the past there was no distinct difference between house, trance and techno. They started to get more seperate and distinct after 90s. (correct me if I am wrong). And of course most electronic dance music is very repetitive music, but should we talk about REPEAT now ? =D
  7. my favourite is Poisonmachine by Mandalavandalz
  8. damn, why didnt it get approved in the end ? ;D

  15. uvAntam.com ( new alias of Ubar Tmar ) , check the review @ 2005 section immediately springs to mind :]
  16. It seems that what u call dark prog i am used to calling minimal , like Sentient. Not exactly my cup of tea, but can be good enough/very good at times. @ Drosophila, ppl suck everywhere =P
  17. doesn't matter much anyways,I found what you said rather irrelevant, i am talking about the impression it made to me as a whole.
  18. I found the western scenes not a parody of the western genre itself, rather than wanting to show the contrast between the "americans" and the native americans. I agree with you on the visuals part though, it's much more than just some "cool trippy visuals". It's the whole story that is fascinating.
  19. WTF? The Infinity Project no second thoughts.
  20. Let me know how it was rino, although they have fully jumped in the (more commercial) full-on bandwagon ..
