I would add, unpredictable or at least hard to predict breakbeats & rhytms, sometimes IDM can be more to the ambient side, other times it gets mixed up with DnB or Breakcore or Rhythmic Noise etc...

Well that's generally true as a kiddo i was listening to some nitz but as soon as I listened to prana,astral projection,juno reactor,california sunshine,mfg , i realised that nitz was 90% cheap music.. Of course they have been some good moments at it as well, to be honest I think that sometimes it's like goa but with worse sounds & production,simpler and less psychedelic.

Well I disagree I think his best one is PENTAFILES, and to be honest in my opinion he kind of lost it after that....

I heard it's live presentation, and I can say it's definetely many times more psychedelic than 99% of what's released these days.
