ah , ok. There have been classics in the 70s, especially by Klaus Shulze, but today you can still find innovative ,trippy & well produced music ..

I think Bahamut wasn't referring to psytrance, but more to ambient/new age electronic from the past...

When I find new genres I like , i explore past releases/ classics of that genre but also keep up with the new stuff. There are masterpieces in every era.

Both albums are great.. Hierakonpolis is at the same style as Nyarlathotep, personally I think Nyarlathotep is a bit better & better produced but for sure if you liked Nyarlathotep you should check Hierakonpolis as well.. (& vice versa.. )

Speedy J - A Shocking Hobby The whole album is some nice IDM blended with Industrial atmospheres. Pretty nice & definitely has a dark edge, a bit similar to Flint Glass , recommended ...

if we say that the golden era was 4.5 - 5 /5 , today it would be around 2.5 - 3.5 /5 There's some good stuff & talented artists for sure in the last years.. (Check releases from names such as Procs, Derango, KaSol or Mandalavandalz & some other suomi psy.. ) But anyways IDM & its hybrids seem to be the ultimate future trippy psychedelic music, I would like the scene to grow up in my coutnry & have some Intelligent brainDance parties..

Plastikman - Psyk Minimal acid techno.. repititive & groovy.. Generally Plastikman's likes to use some modified acid TB-303 sounds now & then.. His more ambient-like stuff is also nice..

Agree.. It seems there's something wrong with the production quality or is it just me?? The kick sounds sort of muddy.. Sort of spoils it as a whole..
