ahhh Fuck yeah, that's what I was talking about in my earlier post...Neuwerk and Nordcore crew made some of the best HC I ever heard. Neuwerk - Give Me Sharas is a fine example of their early work....sure beats the hell out of todays Dark Psy. Thanks for posting that link. Check out their post Terrordrome work on their own label here: http://nordcore.de/

Terrordrome comps were awsome back in a day, especially the Nordcore tracks with all of their aliases. Nordcore formed their own label which was my source of HC for a while. There is a link of this crew to Psy....especialy through their project Neuwerk Check it out here: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Neuwerk One of their former members is Volker Konig, better known as Ololiuqui to Psyheads. They have a track called India Shanti on a hardcore comp Terrordrome which is kind of funny

Biosphere - THe Shield My favorite Biosphere track. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlldjrQbtDQ Still sounds fantastic after all these years.

Oh yeah..that's a classic. Looks like Simon and Matt got inspired by that track and made one of The Infernal Machine songs. Point Break is even in Hallucinogen's live set in San Francisco and Sulfurex - Point Break white label single was wrongly mistaken for Hallucinogen unreleased 12" for a while. How about this mix: http://www.discogs.com/release/402981 and this one: http://www.discogs.com/release/252474?ev=rr

Faithealers (Kris Kylven & Make Louhio of Kiwa) had a smashing 12" on Aurinko back in a day. Make told me there is actually the whole album they made but it was never released for some reason. I'd be very interested in it if it's as good as that 12" with Sacred Hearts and Optical Dreams tracks...Aurinko was such a great label back then.

Might not be exactly the same as the ones above but check out Dark Hearts comp on Harthouse.
-
Check out work of these artists: Germinating seeds of Doda Sibilant (has an album called "Proper Filth") Snake Thing (his Blizzard of Ooze song might be the craziest psybreaks track ever) Deviant Electronics some Eat Static tracks (perhaps "Science of the Gods" album) Metal Spark (has an album "Corrosive") Compilations: Broken (Timecode records) Iconoblast (Symbiosis) 3D (TIP) has a couple of interesting tracks with broken beats

Cleo Odzer, the lady that was interviewed died shortly after the movie was made. I think this doc is dedicated to her. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleo_Odzer

hm I thought you may like it oh well, I'll try to find something Harthouse related next time
-
yep, it is an older movie, but lots of people probably haven't seen it yet. Is there a link for Karahana somewhere?

This is a really interesting documentary about early hippie scene in Goa. One of the featured characters is Goa Gil. Enjoy it here.

Indeet, the original defnition of Ambient was actually Yawnbient.

.....but one thing I can say for your music is that is packed with emotion and one can feel it no matter what avenue you pursue in terms of technical execution. I can't help but think that Charles is a very emotional guy

How is his law practice? (I think he's a lawyer)

Yep Bonzai was great back in a day.. I would add another name to the trio you are mentioning...Yves Deruyter... He's the man behind Cherry Moon Trax, from the first "House of House" to "In My Electric House"...then "Calling Earth" Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l46Av-7D8vM Jones and Stephenson - Second Rebirth was great too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eb-eJWlzh1s Then soon after, newer Bonzai releases turned into cheese Some other names worh mentioning are Channel X and Cubic 22. I'm pretty sure Channel X is from Belgium and I'm not 100% certain Cubic 22 is but they deserve their place in the history of early rave music. I'm pretty sure this classic Channel X tune was featured in Basic Instinct movie with Sharon Stone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHZCtQ37sCc Then the monster Cubic 22 - "Night in motion" tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkIx23G1Lq0 Fantastic for the time it was released back in like 1991. Ahhh the memories

$14 to ship one CD worldwide If this is the actual cost of shipping, German post sucks.
-
oh yeah how could I forget I.F.O...definitely deserves to be in top 10 I think.
-
I would have to disagree with putting Nystagmus – The Immaculate Perception on the list and not Hallucinogen - Lone Deranger, Koxbox - Forever After, Blue Planet Corporation - Blue Planet, Dimension 5 - Transdimensional, probably Transwave albums. MWNN and so many others I would also put The Delta - Schizzoeffective before Nonstandards there. I'm also assuming you are excluding ambient and downtempo otherwise titles like Mystical Experiences and Are You Shpongled deserve to be mentioned. Other than that your list looks pretty nice

Etnicahaos which is his oldschool collaboration with Etnica is pretty interesting too.

What track kicked off the whole darkpsy thing?
visine replied to Basilisk's topic in General Psytrance
-
Yes, very well said. I placed my order and donated extra $$ on top of that to her medical fund via Paypal as well. Gus Till also deserves a lot of credit for compiling and assembling the comp. Classy act in my book for sure.

It's very nice of you to order not one but 2 CD's Pat
