  1. I found the blog with events and pictures describing Ananda's story. Check it out: http://healing-ananda.blogspot.com/
  2. Sorry if someone consider this as spam but I thought this was worth mentioning for two reasons: 1) the CD below contains a new track by Blue Planet Corporation, one of my all time favorites 2) it is for a very worthy cause, see the quoted text: http://saikosounds.com/english/display_release.asp?id=7188 I'm definitely ordering this CD....
  3. Discogs is wrong. Someone probably assumed Extended is limited to 300 since Aftermath is. Again words from Aes Dana: http://forum.isratrance.com/solar-fields-extended/10-132555/
  4. I'm wondering that too. I'd imagine they would probably have little different covers which is what they did when they re-released Asura's first album and Farenheit Project 4. BTW Solar Fields -Extended was limited to 800 copies and not 300 like they claim on Discogs.
  5. Well it's not their fault you have expensive taste mister
  6. yes both Huva Network and CBL will be reprinted. Here are words from Aes Dana taken from Isratrance:
  7. I think you're talking about 2350 Broadway and the Japanese dude is Tetsu Inoue. They've released 4 albums under that name and also worked together under 62 Eulengasse, Shades Of Orion and Time² disguises.
  8. Have you heard Peter Benisch - Waiting for Snow?
  9. Oh well....the tastes are different. If you got the original Rising High version and wanna sell it let me know. I wouldn't mind having an extra backup copy You might as well put Solar Quest - Orgship in the deal if possible That's another old outdated ambient CD you don't need
  10. Dude you have to hear Air - Air II. Incredible story combining both electronic and acoustic instruments. The story keeps changing as he smoothly changes melodies/themes mixes in new instruments over and over again from some weird sounding trumpet-like instrument to didgereedo....all niiiiiice and slow. That might change your opinion about FAX. I think there is some truth to what you're saying about age and electronic music but I also think that there are some incredible releases you might be missing out on if you decide to skip them. Case in point try The Irresistible Force - Flying High......absolutely incredible album from like 1993 that aged very well. I actually heard it for the first time this year and couldn't believe this was released 15 years ago. He also used Terrence Mckenna samples later found in many Psy tracks.
  11. FAX released incredible amount of releases over time and they vary in style a lot so it's not reasonable to expect that one person will like them all. There are for sure many bona fide classics they released far more significant and respected in ambient circles than what Solar Fields have done so far. Nobody said they are the best label. That title is a matter of personal choice. I don't agree with your assesment that people who started listening to ambient after 2000 should avoid older FAX releases. That's like saying if you got into Psy after 2000 don't listen to TIP, Dragonfly or Flying Rhino releases released before 2000.

  13. Look at the market price history. Here is the most recent price it sold for: 2007-12-08 Mint (M) Mint (M) €29.90 comments: NEW STILL SEALED It sold for a fraction of his price 3 months ago. He was selling it for around 40 Euro until very recently and now he's asking 150 Euro. All he did was inflate the price so other people are asking for 100+ bucks. That's pretty crazy because limited edition classics released on legendary FAX records back in like 1993 or 1994 sell for that much and FAX has a large following and demand for their stuff is insane. OK I understand, "Extended" is limited, but man it was released in 2006 and Solar Fields is nowhere near established name as say Pete Namlook. If you pay 150 Euro for it you are a sucker.
  14. Revolution....right before our eyes ladies and gentlemen
  15. Oh yeah those are fuckin' awsome. Totally agree with that recomendation....Psy Harmonics in their prime.
  16. Maybe try these two: http://www.discogs.com/release/195682 http://www.discogs.com/release/195798 A few of those tracks are simply amazing.
  17. Oh yeah, this is not my auction for sure No money would made me let it go. Yeah, I'm kind of wondering what he's up to nowdays. Haven't heard a peep from him in ages. He's got a few records up for sale on discogs so I'm guessing he's around hibernating somewhere.
  18. Fantastic classic packed with such names as C. Walsh of Deviant Electronics appearing as Breach of Space, Boris Blen of Electric Universe with DJ Sangeet as Rainbow Serpent, italian masters Pleiadians with at least one track exclusive to this comp only as well as Encens, Cwithe and french masters Transwave at their prime. It is the first CD released by now legendary Symbiosis records. This very hard to find comp can now be found here. have fun and good luck BTW this is not my auction.
  19. X-dream - Radiohead 12" (Blue Room) added to the list.
  20. Heh drugs in reference to music is a bit different topic I'm talking about drug-heads baked out of their mind, and their frontal lobes controlled by the substance to such degree that not paying an artist for an album drug-head's label released or leaving an artist stranded in the middle of nowhere at some festival organized by such drug-head is perfectly fine as long as the drug-head made some cash to support the habit. I'm hoping that changes in 2008, but I'm not holding my breath.
  21. Sorry, I don't agree with that argument. That's like saying gang violence's been always a part of the hoods and always will be. It just sounds like a poor excuse to do nothing. I think drugs have been and are a big problem in this scene. I believe Mars was referring to examples when some organizers don't care about running well organized parties, paying artists etc. Instead they are hoping to get some quick cash to support their drug habit and don't care to take care of their responsibilities and commitments. I've also heard similar stories about some label managers and other elements of the scene. I believe this is a big problem and the scene is still in big denial. I'd be very surprised to see this changed in 2008, but there's always hope.
  22. Devil in the Detail I like. It's got that IDM-ish glitchy feel to it. You might also like Liquid Dub Vol Seven on LSD.
  23. You're welcome. Now would you mind expressing your opinion and preference in the poll or you'd just like to act like a smartass?
