Saiko Sounds without credit card - very expensive
visine replied to RTP's topic in General Psytrance
You're welcome Hope it works out for you. I've also sent well concealed cash in a letter envelope(like for example wrapped in tin foil so the post office scanner can't see there's money in there). Then I would send that letter via registered mail so it doesn' get lost and I can track its progress online. -
Saiko Sounds without credit card - very expensive
visine replied to RTP's topic in General Psytrance
That's EXACTLY what they want you to do. The more you spend, the better off the credit card company is. I say if you are not comfortable with having a credit card then don't have one. Paypal gives you two options. 1) you can attach a credit card to your paypal account. 2) link paypal account directly to your checking account in the bank. I use the option no 1 because if there is some kind of fraud I have two layers of protection (first is harrasing Paypal and then the credit card company to get my money back is someone steals it). I don't recommend option 2 because if someone screws your paypal account the thief gets money straight from your bank account. If that happens it'd be much harder to get your money back. You can probbably kiss your money goodbye if that happens. International bank trasfers from one account to another are vey expensive. In addition to your bank's fees, currency conversion etc. you pay the the receiving bank (the other person's bank if you don't have the same one) fees. So what to do if you don't want to use credit card and don't want to use international bank tranfer because it's so expensive? Use either International Money Order or Bank Draft. Both serve esentially the same purpose. It's like a check, but you buy it from your bank for a fee that is much smaller than for example bank tranfer. I think it should cost about $5-6 or something like that. Then you mail it to the person you pay and he/she cashes it like a check. Personal checks are usually not accepted internationaly, but international money orders/bank drafts are because they have your bank's backing. It is also possible to buy Western Union's money orders at least at some places so the other person can go and cash them at their local Western Union or bank after he/she receives it in mail. Your bank should give you a paper stub with codes or numbers so in case your money order gets stolen or lost you can get your money back. Now the person you pay sometimes may have to pay a fee to cash a money order. That's why some places don't accept it, but if they do, it is a good option. I've used bank drafts/international money orders for guite a long time. I would e mail Saikosounds or whoever you wanna buy stuff from and see if they would accept them if I was you. It takes a bit longer because you have to wait until the person receives it in mail, but they are much safer transactions because there is no direct link to your credit card or bank account so thiefs can't steal more of your money. -
I thought you can download songs in AIFF format on Itunes which is uncompressed format essentially equivalent to Wav. You can later convert them to Wav or burn onto CD directly from Itunes. Here is what Wikipedia says:

First you say: Then: So what is it? Many or just a few people that are willing to pay high? It's basic economics esentially like this: Senario 1-Only few people are willing to pay high. After that the outrageous prices sellers that see it sold high ask go down because noone else will pay that much. Senario 2-Many people are willing to pay high and prices stay high. I think many prices found on Discogs are inflated, but hey if you can't or don't want to spend that much, don't buy it. If everyone did that the price would go down too....supply and demand.

For Trade Only: Xenomorph - Cassandra's Nightmare [Koyote Records]
visine replied to devious's topic in For Sale/ Trade
No, I agree with you. I'm the same way. I just thought you may have a valid point that's all. I understand. I just used your logic and applied to others which may be true to some extent. Noone said you can't find it cheap if you're patient enough and spend a lot of time and effort. A little luck can go a long way. It kind of sucks when someone craps in your thread and taks about collectors value of one CD versus the other, which in turn makes non-collectors who potentialy may be interested hesitant to let it go too. My apologies if I did that. -

So people that hoard stuff are "weaker" minded? I'm not being sarcastic or trying to attack you. When you think about it there may be some truth in that. Wow nice way to zing the poor fuckar I don't think he meant much harm. He was just surprised since he didn't know your situation unless of course he drank too much of Italian wine I'd argue that since there was a Cryptic Crunch re-issue by Avatar there are more of those floating around than Cassandra's Nightmare. The thing is Cryptic Crynch is a cult classic and highly valuable in collectors circles. Cassandra's nightmare is of course sought after but it does not have the same status as the first Hux Flux album. -

I think Electro Boogie is the only one with Electro music in the whole vide X-mix series. My favorites are the first one mixed by Paul Van Dyk when he was like 19 or 20 year old and also the second one. Laurent Garnier did the third one I think which is also cool here and there (that Essence of nature track rocks), but after that it was the land of minimalia all the way. Electro Boogie 2 was released too, but I think only on CD, no videos. Psy labels released a few electro tracks here and there. Check out Subtonal-Drone song on Blue Room's More Signs of Life.

Fixed It's X-Mix Electro Boogie on K7! The second installment features one of the funniest song titles ever. The song is called "Space invaders are smoking grass"

Agreed. By no means is the new one bad, but if you had your choice what would it be?
-
you got to be kiddin' Listen to any track on Headlines EP...there is like a million unique buildups in every track. They have a spiral like structure totally unpredictable....and they said it themselves, cycles are boring. spirals are fun

Just listened to teir first Forever After album after a long time. All I can say is WOW..yes after all this time this is still incredible stuff. New U-turn CD is much cleaner production wise, but musically speaking nowhere near Forever After. I've always adored Dragon Tales and Headlines EP which I think is their peak, but Forever After is a bona fide all time classic every Trance lover should have in his/her collection.
