Nope sorry. The biggest reason why Rainbirds is rare is not the printing volume. Edel was a fairly big and major label back in a day in Germany and released all kinds of stuff. Unfortunatelly, this SFX album was under the radar and virtually unknown to Psy community for many years during which people that had it forgot about it and let it collect dust. This makes sense because this SFX album is not really Goa or Psy style as we know it, but more like early Techno that has little or nothing to do with Trance. It did not stand the test of time and it does not relate to psy audience in terms of sound...Collectors item? yes Something you listen to at home every day? no That's why it is not as valuable.

Agreed. At the moment that one and Crop Circles CD have the most value of those listed. Of course this can change if we suddenly see many copies of them resurface everywhere, but that's unlikely to happen.

Yes....but that is extreme case. There aren't that many of them that sell for that high but many rarities will go for 30+ Euro. The price depends on 3 factors and they are in no particular order: 1) how rare is the release and is it in demand? 2) is there historical significance? if so what is it? 3) how did it stand the test of time in terms of music on it? Example: Dimension 5-Transdimensional CD 1) It is very rare and in high demand 2) This is the first album of D5. A true Goa trance classic many other albums/styles are measured against. It's also the labes first CD. 3)It still sounds as fresh and uplifting. Absolute melodic bliss.

Actually there is an increased demand for the earilest Sub Terranean and Nova Tekk releases such as Goa Head. The price will also depend on where you buy it, but the going rate is in the neighboorhood of 20 Euro. 5-10 Euro would be a very good deal for the earliest installments and is probably more appropriate range for the latest ones where it wasn't even Goa any more despite the title. I agree 80 Euro range is reserved for rarities that are released by their parent label, not the licensed material released on comps such as Goa Head and Tantrance although like I said the demand for them is increasing by day. X-dream-We created our own happines is a nice album and if you have the original Tunnel records edition it is worth some nice coin. Again, because of the relatively high volume of them released the price has not skyrocketed yet, but this is changing. Right now I estimate it's value to be up to 20 or maybe 25 Euro, but this will change in years to come. The same applies to Trip Trough Sound. Many of them are floating around now and I'd advise people and especially collectors to get it for an affordable price while they can. Blue Room is no more, therefore, the number of copies in existance is finite and this is one of their best comps. There will always be people that'll say "I got it for 5 cents in the local second hand shop" which is great for them but this is not something to anticipate/expect. I'm talking about the current market situation and the way I understand it.

I just completed a nice trade with mr Peyote. He took extra care and put the CD that was originally released in a simple paper cardboard into a sturdy extra jewel case for extra protection so the CD doesn't get damaged in the mail. I appreciate his extra care very much. He is friendly and communicates well. I would highly recommend him

OK TJM overreacted a bit, but you know what I understand him.. Why do you want to burst someone's bubble like that? If two people are satisfied with their deal why should someone else butt in? I'm well aware of the fact that this CD by some miracle is still available in a couple of online stores even though pretty much all of the CD's from that label and era are long out of print. I'm willing to bet that he did not know that it can be found at Psyshop for example. He is the guy that will give a CD that's damn hard to find and in demand for a brand new, very easy to find CD. Not many people will do that. I've had a bunch of uneducated people bitch in my posts why my price is so high and explaining it to them is sometimis tiring. That is why I prefer trading and discussing a trade/sale via pm. I don't condone personal insults and the language displayed, but it is not nice to complain about something someone has to offer.

They are not unknown. It's just that they are using different nemes. Most of those tracks are produced by Asia 2001. It's just that he used different names. DJ Anti is the founder and owner of now famous Spiral Trax, and that is one of his early songs on that comp. It did not stand the test of time and is not one of those releases that are on the absolute top of the wish list of the heavyweight collectors... The CD is indeed rare and hard to find and the label is in demand in collectors' circles. That's why it should fetch a nice price should you decide to sell it.
