  1. Is there something in particular you're referring to?
  2. Jaia! That's great news! And now the big question: Is there anything new heading down the tubes for us, Jaia? If you're working on something as we speak, please don't rush! If you're not working on anything new.... then damn!! ;-) -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- Thanks for comming here to share the news - I'm sure you know you've got quite a few fans here dude!
  3. There seem to be two main crowds in the psytrance community (feel free to slap me if I'm overlooking something): 1. Those who live and breath the psytrance party and the types of dancing it encourages (/is compatible with/enables). Those who travel through countries at a time to get to as many parties as possible as often as they can. 2. Those who live and breath the psytrance listening experience, as well as the trance it provokes. Those who keep upgrading thier sound-systems or purchasing newer headphones in order to obtain the perfect psy-listening experience. The difference here is environment. Which do you prefer? I understand many of the people in group 1 are also part of group 2, but I'm wondering which is your favorite. Do you like to hit a party and hear the psy BLASTING (usually a bit distorted due to acoustics and/or volume, along with a huge crowd making loads of noise) and join in on the dance-floor to let your body fully connect with the pulsing energy created and synergized by (hopefully) hundreds of other people grooving to the music? Or do you prefer to hit your pillow with some headphones or sit in your chair with speakers aimed right at your ears and listen deeply for every tiny sound and change, every pattern and shift, every high and every low, almost as if "researching" or "studying" the music? -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- I'm in group 2. Psytrance is a very personal experience to me, perhaps because I only have one other friend who's really into it in my town.
  4. get aol instant messenger and message Strumpling, Mike? its so much easier to talk with that prog than forums or email.
  5. I find it fascinating that I can gain more entertainment and be more captivated by good audio than a good movie! -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- And what captivates me about movies is usually the soundtracks ;-)
  6. hey mike hock - we can now say "fuck" without having to worry about the censor, FYI.
  7. are you gunna show us the shirt er what?
  8. dirty piglets!
  9. let us see the shirts first? -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- dude this is like asking "hey would wanna work at our business?"
  10. thats pretty-much what I'm talking about in this thread, but hey I'll contribute.. Stimulating music distracts me from everything else, and my friends just don't get it - they're too restless to actually stop talking and entertaining eachother to sit back and listen most of the time, and Janua, one of the things you said really hit home: You'll be listening to something, and it seems like they're paying attention as well, but right when something incredible is happening they'll start talking about some random bs, which totally flattens me, having thought they were finally floating in thier own mind, watching/hearing these sounds synergize and morph and flow together, but seeing that they weren't indeed paying hardly any attention. Sometimes I wish they'd stop teasing me by pretending they're actually hearing it, and pretending they appreciate the sounds. A lot of the time my not-so-psy friends will actually start groovin to psy-music but then they'll start pointing out the sounds they're listening to, saying things like "that guitar is awesome!" Come on......... there's much cooler shit going on than that guitar!! -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- LISTEN DEEPER, dammit!!
  11. Lets see the shirt before answering?
  12. lol miles! It does feel cool when you and several people can actually just chill and listen to at least several tracks in a CD, especially if they're not really into psy, because you see them starting to grasp the magic -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- and they love to hate it, so it hurts them to fall in love with it.
  13. Shpongle is indeed a place. lol "do do do doooooo" this music really rips me from reality - its like drugs er somethin ;-) -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- intoxicated by audio
  14. I think it was Psycle I was talking to on AOL Instant Messenger about how hard it is to get people to pay attention to psytrance, and he said something like "we listen to it like those sounds are all the exists in the universe" and it didn't mean much when he first said it, but I've been thinking about that... Whenever I'm listening to psytrance, even if there's other people around, I zone out and barely contribute to conversation, just get sucked into a world of swirling dancing sounds. Its like those sounds are all that exist in my universe!! Anybody else experience this? Sometimes if I have people at my house I have to turn off the psytrance and put something else on just because I get too into the music and just sit there in silence. I even get annoyed when people start to talk or something during " a cool part" ya know (i don't tell 'em to shut up or anything, just get really annoyed and even more disconnected, as i try and listen to the music OVER people talking, instead of listening to the people talking!)? Just wondering if I get way more into it than most people er what? oh, well it totally depends on what CDs playing as well - if its not as good, the effect is weaker, and I don't get sucked in as much. And of course, it seems the longer I listen to psytrance, the stronger this phenomenon gets. -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- "ssshhh!! this part's cool"
  15. I'm in! Shoot me another email, Mikey! Let's talk - I'm at work so it'll be a while to reply. -=- Matt/Strumpling -=-
