I DID build this computer, the motherboard was part of a deal with my processor, though - its really crappy - a Shuttle somethin-er-other....... that may be the issue, blink?

EP, That's the point the objectors were trying to get across - they're afraid that there will be NO negative reviews allowed on the site or something. The problem is, there's a HUGE difference between these following two dreamed-up examples of negative reviews: 1. FUCK THIS ARTIST AND ALL HE STANDS FOR!!!! THIS IS PURE BULLSHIT!! DON'T BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!! FUCK YOU IF YOU LIKE THIS MUSIC!! MINIMAL CRAP I SAY!!! 2. This artist's last release was a bit more full-on than this new one. If you're into minimal, you'll probably like it, but if you enjoyed the FULLness of the last album like I did, this one probably won't be up your alley - there's just not enough happening here - 4/10. IMO One of those reviews would be removed, but the more well-thought-out one would be left there. Even though its a negative review, its not talking straight TRASH or BASHING anything at all. -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- Lets just try and keep the reviews clean and civilized, and they'll leave any opinions we have up there.

Marc, I'm using the XP drivers for the audiophile, yes thanks tho man Etherdesign, hey thanks for replying :-D I changed my PC to "Normal PC" or whatever (I disabled ACPI in XP), but I'm quite interested in the chipset drivers. I most-likely don't have the newest drivers if XP didn't install them - thanks for the suggestion - got a link? lots of people like to hop up and down whole octaves in strange patterns. if you do this with two synths on L and R filling in eachother's "negative space" its creates a strong effect.

off-topic: i think its cool that there are audio programs called both Reason and Logic ;-)

I got my new Midiman Audiophile Delta card, and I can't seem to get it to stop snapping, crackling, and popping. It seems to do it mostly when my processor has to spend resources on something other than an audio program (even scrolling or moving windows around makes it worse), but it happens even while just idling with the CD-player open.. (its not just cd-audio tho). I've toyed with the sample rate, and seem to have found the best one, but its still doing it! I have a 1.3 ghz athlon and am running windows xp so I'm not sure what the problem is here (512 mb ram...). Any ideas, music-makers? p-p-p-please! -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- mommy its not WORKING!!!

I know they're not far apart, but cosmosis sounds pretty old-school, while synergy is much.... "choppier" and seems much more new-school.
