I remember the first time I saw Dune, I had heard so much of the movie already Aren't there a few pages that list "track - sample - source" already? Full_on has made one, hasn't he? Respect!

"Eat Static - Uphoric Undulance" comes to mind. Quite different from Juno Reactor, but it really stands out compared to a lot of trance music released so early. It's on their "Implant" album.

That's basically everything you need to know. Find a synth you know how to operate and that you can get the sound you want out of ... compression etc - no need to fiddle with that yet. First find a bass sound you like, then fuck around with compression. I've gotten nice bass-lines out of almost every vst I've used ... takes a lot of time and tweaking though.

Perhaps I'll throw a tune your way ...

Derango. They just get better and better. Which is crazy considering how amazing they are.

I was talking about that track with a friend of mine last night. He likes it, and I must admit I liked it when I first heard it. Havn't checked it out in years now, so I'm not sure if I still like it ... Anyways, he said "the good thing about the riff in that track [prodigy - voodoo people] is that it is so damn good, that you can litteraly throw shit at it and still get gold." Made me laugh.

I used to be able to listen to music while working with school and sleeping. Now it's impossible. I listen to the music and over-analyze it. Stripping it down into it's original layers etc. Edit : though, I can listen to some ambient at times. But it needs to be more soundscapes than music. Thomas Köner is a good example.
