I have that one..

I'm not really looking for cheesy vocals, but nice music really.. stuff like: Groove Armada - At The River Chicane - Low Sun Kinobe - Slip Into Something More Comfortable etc.. I just want to experience a little more of this music, as it's nice in the background (and my chill collection will not be all shanti shanti ethno beats ).. I think the stuff around the late 90s would be best, but also stuff that's readily available to buy through Amazon.. none of the plastic formulaic stuff of today. Cheers!

Lol, lame UI?? I think you should be more concerned whether your music is lame or not... Garageband has a very simplistic interface, yet I've done some pretty nice stuff with it even though it's a basic program.. Since I got Reason I never really went back to GB until a few days ago I decided to have a play with my old audio units - and I ended up coming up with a new track out of just mashing up samples within GB.. So it really isn't the program, but you, that determines the professionality of the music. -
CDs.. Less weight, more data storage, most common album format these days, compact, jewel cases replaceable if damaged/broken.. also I have 170+ and I'm not about to change my buying over to vinyl considering that cd production is more common (so you can't get all the releases on vinyl these days)

Their?? Secede is Lennard van der Last, i.e. one guy on his own making tunes.. http://secede.sendingorbs.com/secede.htm Bye Bye Gridlock Traffic is definitely decent. Not as decent as Tryshasla, which definitely flows more as a whole.. but it's definitely a worthy purchase. -

Radiohead - How To Disappear Completely -
Well... Sending Orbs is going to be a label to watch in 2007, mainly because of the new Secede EP, a Secede album and a Secede/Kettel collaboration... all of these should be top quality, and Secede's output has never disappointed me this far. PKS's label Chill Tribe Records also should be on your watch list as well, with a new compilation titled Ear Pleasure, should be a treat for chill lovers. Also Kristian's new album should be released on Chill Tribe, don't know when but hopefully it will maintain the brilliant quality level PKS has in his work. Chillcode have released two compilations this year, Downbeat Liquid in particular was extremely refreshing (I haven't checked the other, though it's on my want list), and a new compilation is already planned... I hope to hear some more great chill from them. Elsewhere, well Tribal Vision are always coming out with top quality progressive, so 2007 will be another good year for progressive.. Myself, I'm looking forward to all the IDM I haven't dug up yet, there's a ton of old releases that will end up in my collection, and of course the new Sending Orbs stuff. Yes, 2007 will be another good year.

Damn, it's been productive for me today... I was mashing up samples a few weeks ago and now I've finally gotten round to forming a tune out of them and it's even better than the last one! Just listening to the intro really (~2mins), it's unfinished but I'll finish it pretty soon I hope. -

I don't really like to pigeonhole my tunes.. infact I wasn't even sure how to classify this track, so I just stuck it under 'Electronic' in iTunes... I'd say my music was a crossover between IDM, Dub + Ambient with classical arrangements (in places), though sometimes it could be completely different. To be honest now I'm not really trying to write any specific style, just Music (and that's what's important). -

Finished it now. I decided to introduce the piano right at the end, so there's about a minute or two of solo piano... Clocks in at around 7:30. Now called Malfunction (the name suited better for me). Now spinning it to check for final nuances. -

I'm listening to a mixdown of an as of yet untitled track... I was thinking of calling it Confusicationconcotion as it's one that doesn't really know what it's trying to be... going from distorted drums to piano (and probably back too, though that hasn't happened yet!)
