  1. Er.. So? That's like saying 'Oh yeah, that's trance alright, but it has a kick on every quarter note!' Openmindedness is key, unless you want to listen to the same five artists all the time.
  2. Well why don't you ask him?
  3. http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?sh...mp;#entry500359
  4. Thanks. I already have Strange Attractors and Archipelago.
  5. Tracks like: Vibrasphere - Newport (and to a lesser extent, Floating Free - excellent production) Jaia - Rouge Marine Ticon - The Analogue H Progressive that grabs you and wraps you up in thick layers of sound, driving basslines and etc etc etc. I overdosed a little last year when first discovering the style, but I'm slowly coming back to it. So have you guys/girls got any fantastic progressive I should hear about?
  6. Yeah, it's a good one
  7. Ooo, ooo - Phutureprimitive - Submerge! Also, you could slip in a FSOL track, I forget exactly which EP it was, but either Cascade or Lifeforms, there's a nice watery track. Also perhaps Leftfield - El Cid.. that's pretty slow and misty.. don't know about watery. Nice starter though.
  8. I can't speak for the scene itself.. I just buy music I like. Yes I'm a consumer, no I don't give a monkeys. Oh, this would fit in General much better.
  9. Haha yeah... That sums up my reaction too.
  10. Moved to UK subforum...
  11. You know, I don't have any input on this... IMO music reflects the personality of the musician, and that's how we have so many unique and talented artists. You can't really just take the 'best' of each artist - you learn, create and compose by yourself, and that's the beauty of it. If I could wish for anything, it would be to be truly innovative with music - as right now I am only building on constructs that have been around for centuries, some only decades. But to sound like someone else, no, I wouldn't have that at all.
  12. The mastering/gear lets it down a lot, obviously it was composed in a cheap studio - but his talent definitely shines through. Rebirth and the two downtempo tracks are excellent, and the rest is fairly decent too.
  13. Sounds a little like Converting Vegetarians Disc 2 + Linkin Park.
  14. I can't really speak for 2006, but get Sound Field - Audio Surfin'. Sounds right up your alley.
  15. I forgot to add the fist shaking in my post!
  16. Anything from Ultimae.
  17. You know, my parents sent me to private school when I was 11 and I became a prefect and was subsequently corrupted by the power. After a time I realised what was happening and resigned from the position (true story). You be careful. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

  18. It would fit better in General, I think...
  19. Sound Field - Technological Terror
  20. There's me too.. but you gotta wait for that first..
  21. I have it and it's an absolute gem.
  22. Superb job on the album... it's like progressive, ambient and psychedelic trance mixed up into a melting pot full of lsd. I may even give this a proper review...
  23. When did you become a moderator? Why did you become a moderator? Oh, Shaft.
