  13. There are few days left. Please use these 3-4 days left if you have to modify your TOP 5. Also, it would be best for us if you edited your initial post (where you can ADD your top 5 without having to delete the existing text) and not post a new TOP 5. On the 1st of February, around 10:00AM CET this thread will be closed and possibly set invisible (temporarily), so that no one will be able to edit their posts anymore. So now is the time to post your TOP 5 if you haven't done it yet, and if you did, now's your last chances to change your mind about the best releases of 2005. Thank you for your understanding.
  14. not in my opinnion. you're hyping. *i'm so evil* many artists with his reputation don't see music making as a "temptation to release" they usuyally make it cause they like/love what they do. posford didn't like his 2 albums anymore so he stopped? i've seen artists excited about releasing a new album and loving their music, so yes, also hoping to sell some CDs and get some gigs. what's wrong with that? i don't see ANYTHING WRONG in artists wanting to be able to make enough money out of their music. i don't think you'd like to have to search for a second job so you could get by. if i were a tallented artist i'd use my talent to make money. money is good. but i'd do it smart-way, not skazi-way. yeah, i guess that's possible in a scene like psytrance, cause as long as you release something good, the public will never forget you. the advantages of being in a small, non-commercial scene. i'm np: The Lone Deranger album as i type, it's a great album, but i don't feel the need to discuss Hallucinogen over and over again because of it. i'm just doing it cause i like you you know. but i'm warning you, if you go on, i'm gonna have to consider pulling out traveller's "who fuckin' cares?" picture ok.. kidding
  15. O RLY? wanna know what happened in my pants when i met you?
  16. wow, pr0fane, you totally rock lovely tunes, smooth mixing, you're the man. i hope there will be a downloadable mix too :D *feels like dancing* *bounce bounce*
  17. yes, i have it. LSD is on the list of my favourite tunes ever, and the first or the second psy track i ever heard. now we're 10 years later, i see no new album released under the name of Hallucinogen. the fact that you think it's the best example of goa-trance ever produced doesn't change my mind about him being over-rated & over-hyped though. i don't think there exists a number one in the goa-trance scene. you do. that's the difference.
  18. we have to give Hallucinogen some credit, but yes, he's over-rated. and over-hyped for nothing new.
  19. the new stuff has more variety. the offer is larger than just goa. so depending on my mood i have where to choose from. i listen to various styles of music, like: psytrance with all subgenres ... full on, dark, melodic-uplifting, old-school, minimal, progressive trance to electro, tech trance, suomi, downtempo, chill-out, some breaks, some rock. so yes, i listen also to older stuff, when i'm in the mood. so if you don't listen to newer stuff because you don't like it, then i listen to newer stuff because i like it. simple. our brains ask for different stuff i guess. i know how old stuff sounds like, i've been there allready. i am a curious person, so i have more interest in "NEW". sometimes i feel like listening to old stuff that i haven't listened to yet. but that would mean to search and download. i'm pretty lazy when downloading is concerned.
