    Twisted Records Party

    this is too cool
  2. i don't get it. am i in ze matrix twilight zone again? np: protoculture - peak aboo
  3. don't call me proggy girl, i like all genres but yes, i'm a Ticon "fan", some people know it
  4. oh yes. i have noted Jaia and Ticon in my calendar. i'll organise myself and see what it takes to come to these parties.
  5. you D-Nox lovers next time i see you bashing full on artists i'll come and get you! okok, lets get serious. i say both parts have few good points here, and if both parts are ready to accept eachothers' point of view, then we should move on. of course, unless anyone feels harmed from these discussions, in which case, please speak up, and let's solve the problem.
  6. i'd go to Jaia
  7. wow definitely do something about it. write to the label.
  8. rob d - clubbed to death next: asura - lost eden
  9. you still didn't get it.
  10. ok, you didn't get my point. i was talking about discrimination.
  11. well, ok, i understand your point. in my post i was generalising. i didn't mean for it to look as if i have already labeled D-Nox as an "asshole", i don't rush to conclusions that quickly. that's why i started my sentence with "if", i just wanted to express an idea. i am very much against discrimination based on economical/financial level or educational level. do you treat people bad when you have a bad day Alex? and then you go to people and tell them: "oh man i've been bad in Maroc, i treated a local bad, wanna know details about it?". it's not something that people show off, is it? i've seen stuff like this happen here as well (in my country). the fact that you have more money than me doesn't give you the right to treat me bad, even if you JUST had a bad day. but i have gone way too off topic, i apologise for this.
  12. what do you mean by "I expected better of you"? information is good for people, information is food for the brain, and i doubt alien is a liar. why would he talk shit? i don't know but .. i like it when people that make good music are also nice people. if you make nice music but you're an asshole, then you know where you can stick your music. and i don't like having a false image on people. it can be pretty annoying to discover somebody is the opposite image of what they express.
  13. you cannot expect everybody to speak english in a "small hotel / bed & breakfast". and then, if you want 5 stars treatment, treat 5 stars. i've seen nice people doing the opposite: going to a foreign country and trying to speak few basic words in the local language (even though both parts in dialogue knew english), to show their appreciation. but those were nice people. about the music, i've nothing to say. i only know Switch. i won't talk shit about Switch, as you nice people don't bash full on either. sorry it was just a joke cause i see the people who gathered in this thread
  14. i was at another forum, i saw an interesting topic, i wanted to reply, error. the topic was closed. moderator's note: "use the search, we discussed this before". how annoying. i guess you know which forum i am talking about. and then i see you telling a newcommer to use the search. thus . it's always nicer to offer a newcommer a link, not just "use the search". it's not like he occupied all your screen with his thread
  15. however, i have to aggree with Insejn at : Artifakt - Retch. at the first listen i hated this track. now i love it though.
  16. how about an oldie ... ? i thought this track was pretty heavy & hardcore back then Deedrah - Reload
  17. Kindzadza - Mars Bless U
  18. CONDA, you can check out this thread. it's pretty recent. reger:
  19. fair enough. personally, i was hoping that more people would get involved in this poll though. i guess i will conclude that most people don't care how the Promotional Area will be organised. i will present a possible scheme with both options and we'll get on with it. a small notice .. to your complaint that "and yet the MODS have done nothing. How hard can it be to set up a new Forum?" --- only Admins can set up new forums. our Admins are djnemo and mars.
  20. sorry! "not enough nuclearness!!"
  21. squaremeat - shinkansen
  22. Scorb - Let's Go Raving hell yeah hi
  23. you can try Voice Of Cod - Go Downtown Synthia System - Whamy Mammy Time Lock - Cabin Print dunno if it's what you're looking for. one can only hope.
  24. interesting points you have there. some people see me just as a moderator, and not as a person who has feelings and brain, so i didn't wanna get "in there". true, but not everybody can or wants to split psytrance into subgenres. that's why we just asked Top 5 from people, leaving the rest up to them. well, this could be the subject of a new thread. if you wanna do it. i'd say that psytrance is the base. the headquarters if you want. but it's possible that in time, subgenres will differentiate from eachother and will stop being labeled as psytrance.
  25. Bluetech - Sines and Singularities (AlephZero, December 2005) At first, this album didn't manage to get under my skin 100%. I suppose I was still hooked on his earlier two albums and I wasn't ready to move to the next level yet. As I was on the bus to go to Switzerland (before X-mas), I gave this album like two listens, and it didn't get through to me. I liked a few tracks, but some were just ok to almost annoying. I am a fan of Bluetech, and naturally I concluded that I was too excited about my trip to Switzerland to have the brain for downtempo music. This morning (one month later), I woke up really pissed off; I hadn't slept well, and too little, so naturally, in the morning, all these old angers came to me. Hell, even a bad relationship came back to me and I got angry with the guy. I came to work, and felt like hearing track #5. So I put on the CD, and whoa. The timing was perfect this time! In a matter of minutes I moved on from anger to peace and then almost tears. Wtf? Yes, this is a new level. Bluetech entered a new level in his life, musically and probably personally too. If the first 2 albums have been labeled as "smart music, playful melodies, liquid, but cold sounds", then I must say that here we have a new level, an evolution. Evan gave people what they wanted: this one is still smart, still playful, still liquid, but now it's warm and emotional. I call it sweet chill out music, not just downtempo. I could not say that we find a change of style here, you can still recognise his tracks out of 100. But we have a different type of variation. Every track has something specific and gives the whole album the feeling that you're travelling through various atmospheres, emotions, decos and sets. You can find yourself "chilling" in bed with your beloved one, or chilling in the grass while smoking with friends at a festival, or chilling in the car/train while travelling to exciting places, or chilling at home with close person in semi-dark room with a glass of wine, or chilling on the top of a mountain, watching the view and feeling one with nature, or chilling in a boat on a lake, or chilling under a waterfall, etc, etc. This album has the purpose of spreading good mood, emotions, and with me it succeded. This music has gotten under my skin, and I'm happy. Evan did it again. It grew on me faster than I expected, and I am sure it will have this effect on other people as well. I don't want to say that Evan has matured as an artist, cause he'll probably surprise us; I'm sure he will take us to more new levels in the future. Chill out music makes people better, it is medicine for the brain and drug for the soul, and Bluetech has learned his chemistry lesson pretty good. I will end my review by quoting him: “Music is a healing process for me on a number of levels. I believe personal healing is the only way to change the world... I guess I'm trying to change the world...” Thanks. *gives the CD one another spin*
