ok, seriously now - all posters can edit their threads as much as they want. the thread is open until we close it. so yes, you can still change your minds. - you can freely post your "best of 2005" list, and write as many releases you want. but we kindly ask you to add also a top 5 at the end of your post... like a best-of of your best-of. this way we will be able to make a calculation and present you a chart. right?

you're just excited cause you've been watching Lost all week.

sure! Daniƫl is part of the Xibalz deco team. they decorated Transylvania Calling 2005 in Romania, and the chill-out area at Rhakti Dei 2005, Belgium. well, they decorated more psy events, but i am aware of these 2. here ya go, check out some pics: link 1, link 2, link 3, link 4, link 5, link 6, link 7, link 8. yes, i'm a fan.

Voice Of Cod - Heart Of Gold next up: Artifakt II -
Entheogenic album had quite few remixes as well. i guess this album follows about the same line? not that i mind .. it's Shulman after all

Soulclipse Festival - Turkey 2006

quite true ... a big mofo line-up. tough one. i keep recalculating free days i can get from work in march vs. cost of festival. damn! -
this thread should be a good list of recommendations from 2005.
-
to the ones that posted a list of more than 5 releases, do you think you could edit your posts and add also a top 5 maybe? this will make it possible for us to calculate a score.

this is worth checking out if only for tracks 2 and 8. i'm very curious. one of the best chill-out tracks ever is: Terra Nine - Axiom The Omm (Squad In Dub Mix), released on the chill comp A Magical Journey.
-
the Ra He Ya Sub6 remix .. i used to like it (it was released in 2005 on chill comp Multiple Organisms), now i'm somehow sick of that track ... so it's some kind of "summer hit" for me. good remix though.
-
listening to samples .. Bluetech & Shulman - Midnight Bloom <-- very nice
-
*listening saikosounds sample* hey, good track indeed. i'm curious how the whole track sounds though, cause the sample starts with build-up/climax. climax is supposed to be mad generally if you want a nice dance floor track. Edit: also funky! nice

ok, i guess we could use some opinnions on a certain issue. we are thinking to leave General as it is. create a new section, Promotional Area, and put the mixes there (among other promotional stuff not related to "Artists/Labels Announcements and News", of course). now question is: - would you people like to have the mixes in the main Promotional Area section? - or do you think the mixes would be better off if we created a DJ Mixes subsection inside the Promotional Area section? i'm asking this because some psynewsers might complain about it if the mixes get "drowned" by newer promotional threads (that are obviously not containing mixes). i wonder if people still follow this thread, but those who do, please post your opinnion ... while we're waiting for all mods to get online so that can we conclude.
-
i didn't start. but i was told i should. i'd be like a second skazi or so. isn't that great?
-
that's not a bad idea. i'll quote you and let all mods see. though the Artists & Labels Announcements is already a promotional section, but that's just with news and announcements. we need to put the "products" in the place that psynewsers like better. maybe a new section, like Kris proposed.
-
yes, all the requests have been taken in consideration. we're discussing it (waiting for all mods to get online and express their opinnion). i didn't forget, but we said "let's give the Music Making location a chance". i guess it's time to conclude.

worst samples i have listened in 2005 were of the Miditec album. well, "worst" as in "not my type of psytrance".
-
check out: VA - Invasion From Hyperspace Jaia - Fiction Voice Of Cof - We Are Free Protoculture - Refractions VA - Ultrapop (more like discopsy or rhytmadelic trance, but pretty funky and so) looks like i am repeating myself. we probably had this question before, recently.

true, true .. hey, how old is he? i'm curious.

yes, we checked his ID at the entrance. welcome LS!

here are my positive comments. i'm not generalising though, and there are always 2 sides of the coin. MP3 Pirating in my country the psy scene is small, the parties are small. i'm listening to music following the idea "download before you buy". we had these few psy parties in 2005 and 2 friends of mine are djs. i provided them with new releases (some CDs but mostly mp3s) for their gigs this year and their sets rocked music-wise. if i hadn't downloaded the releases, the music wouldn't have gotten heard. cause the scene is small. i got interested even a dj who's into d&b, electro, house. and some people were asking around like "hey cool track who's this?". so yeah, i'm talking about promotional effects. one of the 2 dj friends is doing well and i expect him to buy CDs. the other one is a poor student and won't buy. Genres / Music being defined and things becoming academic you can extend your "psy-vocabulary" by assisting to other people speaking about music defined in genres. the "newcommers" in the scene can observe from the "older" ones. then you can listen to the music and make your own judgement. sure, there is a downside to this ... "newcommers" might be too shy to get into a conversation about defined genres. but at least they have someone to "learn" from. is this making any sense? Greedy Organizers the party/festival has chances to be a success, if the job is done right and with substantial effort. if everything comes out perfect for the people who pay the ticket, then all is good. i've seen organisers who made a great party, lost money cause they didn't sell enough tickets, but they were great people who deserved to win some nice money instead. if the party is what i want, then i don't mind paying a little bit more. but if it's below my expectations, there won't be a "next time".

i was about to post the track: Vax - Tataria close to the AP sound, dunno if it was released though.
