Soulclipse Festival - Turkey 2006
moni replied to el brujo's topic in General Party & Travel Talk (Worldwide)
umm .. once they set the prices, i doubt they will change anything. so that's it. i just know i won't be rushing into buying my ticket. plus i'm waiting for package prices, as i would only be able to attend 3 days of festival anyway. surely nobody would speak bad about their own festival, but allow me to not belive this really.. quality crowd? what the f*ck is that supposed to mean??? 90% of that line-up will also be available during summer, in many festivals. it's not the end of the world .. the eclipse will last .. how much .. one hour? surely not one week. this is a festival with an eclipse event inside. not the other way around. in the end, i hope they will reach their objectives, whichever they are. i'll go, if i can afford it. even if with my financial situation maybe i don't qualify for "quality crowd" -
Tox don't mess with my poll kidding. i'll check Element out. though i've been hearing too much prog lately, i'm afraid i'm gonna get sick of it soon ... right now i'm also singing Seelenluft - Manilla .. "And i started to dance .. without wearing no seat belts .. and i started to dance .. without wearing no safety vest.." prog everywhere!

Soulclipse Festival - Turkey 2006

ok, so the organisers are not turkish do you know where they are from brujo? not that it really matters ... i'm just curious anyway, i still depend on my greek and serbian and maybe israeli friends on this festival. so i might find myself in the situation to pay at the gate. so Tox, if i go there and have to pay say .. maybe 100 euro for 3 days, then i'll be a little annoyed. plus i don't expect prices for food and beverages inside the festival to be at turkish level .. the festival takes place in eastern europe. if they want many eastern europeans to come .. they should consider that an eastern european may earn between 100 - 300 euro/month. you can't both live and do an expensive festival. maybe they DON'T want eastern europeans to show up at the festival actually -

anyway i checked more forums everybody is disappointed with the ticket prices. later i'm gonna go on the soulclipse forum and see what people say there. with these prices, they might not sell enough to pay for that line-up ... -
hehe i knew it! Le Lascard is too much a cool club track not to be explored by other dj's and so also, i aggree with Basilisk. the original is way more energetic and pleases me better.
-
i only got Ticon yesterday. it's too soon to decide for me. both albums are good, that's decided. but i don't have a favourite yet.
-
Yes people. Let's have a small battle. Why not. We have two good progressive trance new releases. Phony Orphants - It'Cetra and Ticon - Zero Six After. Both are good, both have been hyped, both have not failed to please us. Which one do you like better? This poll comes as an interest in your personal taste. So yes, it's a matter of personal taste. Nothing more. I'm inviting you to go ahead, vote and discuss if you please.
-
yes alien, you're right about the last track hum i downloaded it (finally) i listened i liked it's not as outstanding as Aero but it's still good i'll buy it!

sometimes i participate in nice threads in the General Section. i don't waste too much time on threads about releases that i haven't heard (yet). anyway, you gotta be patient. not every day something interesting happens on forums. surf more forums at once. nobody is asking you to choose just ONE. www.psynews.org http://forum.isratrance.com www.psy-forum.co.uk these are english-based (and engrish as well) forums i know of. also, open threads about topics you want, and see what comes out. you can manage to keep things on topic, if it's your own thread. i always manage my own threads in the direction i consider best. just tell people: "this is my thread, get back on topic people or i will kick your ass". it works

Sarahti, Soulclipse lasts 1 week, not a weekend .. let's hope they make prices for 2-3-4-5 days. i can't take off a whole week from work, not in this period. but if i could, i would probably not complain about the price. i wasn't expecting this festival to be cheap in the first place. -
coolies thanks phobium! that's generous of you *goes to create new folder for VA - Yggdrasil*

ok, i don't have time to read all now *has a lot of work and deadline in 3 hours* but when we purchase a CD online, doesn't the price include also the mailing cost? the expedition of that CD? and i noticed some labels that say "you can buy straight from us". you cannot compare psy labels with big commercial labels. each label has to find its own strategy for sales, according to their possibilities, according to their market. when you can't influence, you have to adjust, even if only "apparently". surely you cannot follow Sony, BMG 's marketing strategies, cause they have the financial support to apply their theory. let's not forget that psy is not commercial .. they have different markets ... so they can't do what Eminem does with his label. if you paint Raja Ram in black, send him to the gym, put "hoes" around him, throw him in a sexi car and call him 50 Ram, he won't sell more. 50 Cent does. i can only hope for positive thinking though. anyway, more after i read Fluffy's post properly.
-
not really .. the idea is that i should not be redirected to mp3 stores, just because i'm eastern european.
-
i don't like mp3 stores, true. i like to have the whole product. an mp3 is still just an mp3 ... i just like cds too much maybe
-
me too
-
i told you, there are always risks to face, in any bussiness. i doubt that labels would lower the prices so much that an eastern european person would actually see a "bussiness" opportunity here. the black market DOES exist even now, especially with dvds and commercial cds. either way, the sales would be higher, thus the profit too. and then there are laws. for example, if i wanna go to another country, i am only allowed to have with me like, 2 liters of alcohol, 10 packs of cigarettes. anything higher than that would be questionable and it might draw consequences on me. there are many products here that you would see as really cheap. but you don't see me selling them abroad. i wonder if we're going a bit off topic RAH, kick us out anytime
-
on a second thought, maybe the cost of innovation and development would be too high for this bussiness, so maybe they don't wanna bother trying to find solutions.
