  1. nemo, there should be more options in the poll. you just set the extreme opinnions. damn it, this is getting all a big fuzz over 2 people that don't like me.
  2. we have a Reviewing rules/ guidelines thread in the Reviews Section. those rules should be clear and respected. setting post limits per person is kinda hard. Fluffy, take off your shirt!!! *oops, this is not a sex thread*
  3. i don't think there is a need for limitation. people just have to acknoledge the importance of the reviews section to be kept clean. and then the reviews section will moderate itself .. without mods having to set limits. and then nobody will spam it, or if they do, nobody will get angry to see spam posts deleted by mods.
  4. listen .. i don't think there is a REAL NEED of change. is psynews such a bad place? i don't think so. let's not take this thread to "impossible limits"
  5. that's great heva!!! if i knew i could get free days from work then, i'd book a flight too! Turkey doesn't require saving a big amount of money i think. so money shouldn't be a big issue then, but time .. i think we should make a "psynews area" and a big psynews banner haha some chairs, tables, deco and stuff :D
  6. wow, heva ... there are only 2 tracks with vocals on TCD .. you should not miss this album just because someone mentioned vocals. go ahead and download it and then make your own opinnion on wether you wanna buy it. i aggree, Ticon poored silver on that 7th son track. ok .. prog trance with vocals ... i guess it depends on the psy scene in each country. for my country, i think prog with vocals would do miracles. the scene is small, few parties, small ones, many clubs feature commercial music, or prog house, breakbit, elektro ... i wouldn't consider these genres as psy, hehe. so, here, if you wanna increase the psy scene .. you cannot just shock people with twisted powerful psy. you have to take some steps ... progressive trance is a good step. so i encourage vocals, why not.
  7. whoa .. i didn't read all the 5 pages entirely. first, it's kind of hard not to take personally some things that have been said. this was not my first review, surely, but it WAS my first detailed, "track by track" review. now, i was nervous about my review, so when people said "nice review moni, you should do it more often, we could use a woman's point of view" .. surely it felt really good to me. i posted my review on 3 forums, got nice words on the review, this is the only place where my review created problems. "my home". this is what bothers me. f*ck everybody that mention this "moni fanclub". yes. f.u.c.k. o.f.f. all of you. i've been on this forum for 4 f*ucking years, i never did trouble to anyone, i even think i am a pretty good girl, so i see no reason why people should not like me or at least be nice to me. also, for quite some time, there were no girls here except me and maybe 1 or 2 girls more. so yes, in a group of 100 men .. 2-3 girls WILL get attention. even if the 100 men were gay. surely i don't expect everybody to like me, i know there are quite a few that have a problem with me. i got nothing against that. but ... i will say that all people who mention this "moni fanclub" ... are being disrespectful and envious and lame. you can all f*ck off. this is true. i aggree totally. though 2, 3 people that said "nice review moni" can hardly be considered pages and pages of spam. it's not the first time that someone gives a "nice review!" on a forum. but, since you said: "This is the Voice of Cod review thread not the worship Moni thread. Please use the PM function for praise or join the Moni fan club." .. well, you and your opinnion can f*ck off. you could have used a nicer way to say it, not make me feel bad about people giving me "nice review moni!" comments. this is also true, i aggree it was very good for me to get good feedback on my review, as i had many doubts about it. i even made DeathPosture read it before posting. so when he confirmed that the review was ok, and not full of bullsh1t, i posted it. to conclude: - i am for keeping the reviews section clean. the Voice of Cod reviews thread is not the only thread that needs a lil bit of cleaning up though. there are other threads who went a lil offtopic. just an example, mars's thread about Eskimo is totally weird and i would have moved it from there. it's full of artist bashing, and maybe between the bashing there are 2 short reviews?? something like that. - this is a free forum, no? or at least this is what we would like it to be. so surely people will post a "hey man, nice review!" .. and that's good for the guys who do all the reviewing work. it's like a reward ... only those who write reviews can understand this feeling and the boost that it gives to you seeing that you're being appreciated. - that's what mods are here for. to keep the reviews section clean. posts that are not related to the release can be deleted after a while. even PM the reviewer, show him that he got feedback on his review, and then make a note "i have deleted the posts that are not related to the release". surely tekk will say that he doesn't have time to keep an eye open for everything. i am sure it will not be hard to find a person to keep an eye on the reviews section. i already mentioned that i would like to be a mod for the reviews section. not that there is much to moderate there .. let's not forget that if moderation level gets increased, people will be angry and maybe even stop surfing and posting on psynews. but yes, tekk cannot keep an eye on everything. - some people should bitch less .. man this post was long.
  8. since there is nobody here to represent Italy ..i'll start doing the honours, please continue ... Italy: Loopus In Fabula
  9. oh dear you suck don't buy wine if you don't know for sure that it's good *knows good wines around here* Edit: as for Ticon .. let me give it a listen or two .. see who wins .. Ticon or Phony Orphants :>
  10. euhm .. go ahead, i'm already green *hangovered* also, i keep mistaking you for GSH this morning. must be something fishy about the avatar forget Ticon, how was the wine??
  11. protoculture - peakaboo always gets the partee mood on
  12. beh to both of you for having the album i'm going to a proggie trance party, but no new ticon there. old ticon still 1 beer 1 vodka + orange juice 1 vodka + martini 1 beer Tonight's going to be a good night. If I'm lucky, the new hangover will arrive in time for work tomorrow morning.
  13. well, i just quoted a guy in my post there, but the stream isn't high quality as he said. i lost some of the enthusiasm because of the stream. they should have posted high-quality samples. would have been enough
  14. alien, you haven't listened to it yet?
  15. you're playing hard to get ... 1. Abakus 2. Bluetech 3. Soundaholix go check some samples ffs
  16. ok, you made me curious. Edit: ok, listened to the samples. track 1 and 6 could be nice dance-floor tracks. i already see pluses and minuses here, but it's hard to tell, the samples are too short (30sec).
  17. lol that organiser guy said they were thinking of bringing some more underground acts too. to tell you the truth, i would give 3 acts from this line-up for exchange with Voice Of Cod: Eskimo, GMS, Infected Mushroom. anyway, this surely isn't the final line-up. there are still 4 months till the festival. plus the chillout area is pretty empty so far.
  18. ok. let's say we have a big label, with big names in the scene. the artists decide to leave that label for various reasons (financial reasons, style changing reasons, maybe the artist group breaks up and stops making music, maybe the artist wants to open his own label, etc etc). can the label survive without these big names? i kinda believe that a part of the market became or is becoming saturated with so much full on, and this way, dark psy, who was more underground before, started to come to the surface, and listened to more. what is labels' influence on this movement? do they adjust and promote different music genres according to the scene tendencies? or do they follow the same line, "what sells" (full on, prog, etc) .. and explore that area till there is nothing left there? are labels flexible with their artists' evolution in time? i see new labels coming out on the market exploring new sections of the scene, but supporting possible financial loss in order to make a name and an image. do these influence the evolution of the scene? or is it the artists that have the big influence and labels adjust? (sorry if i'm babbling, i'm kinda tired... had a hard day )
  19. you can Edit your post if you wanna make changes up in the first post. *goes on*
  20. you do however notice the need of a label in your statement.
  21. yep, this is a very nice compilation. there are quite a few good chillout/downtempo tracks on this one. the Abakus and Bluetech ones are gold. Celli, you wanna change maybe that "BYE IT!!" to "BUY IT!!" though bye = a rivederci, au revoir/adio, adios, auf viedersehen, good bye
