  1. this is exactly what we should do with our psynews contest damnit
  2. that's a very nice location and rythm is a dancer is a cool track
  3. they're not supposed to know everything you know (or not even half). else we would all be djs. it doesn't matter if they ask you questions you consider silly or dumb. be happy that they're around you and dance and enjoy your music
  4. as a dj, you shouldn't underestimate your listeners, you know?
  5. happy birthday Alex i hope you'll have a great day and a monster party time
  6. i'll go for some crazier tunes (ok maybe just parts of tracks): - some rock/indie/ska/rap track with a very good part of scratch but i can't think of one now - Antiloop - Only you - Delirium feat. Sarah McLachlan - Silence (tiesto remix) - Depeche Mode - It's No Good - Fun Lovin Criminals - Scooby Snacks - Underworld - Rez or Born Sleepy or Cowgirl or who knows what track - Prodigy - Mindfiels - Manau - Panik Celtik - No Doubt - It's My Life - The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army - Sugababes - Overload - Massive Attack (surely some track) - Coldplay - Clocks. i'm sure i could do some tricks here and there with a few tracks (maybe mix with something else). so what do you think? bash me or worship me if you have to
  7. his company fuct him. they blocked psynews from being accessed at work. so he hangs out in isratrance now.
  8. My review: ok, i think this is a pretty good compilation. apparently the Trishula guys know their stuff. yes, i'd say this compilation subscribes to the dark, fast, cutting edge psychedelic genre. the tracklist sums up in an interesting combination. there are some wicked tracks here, that could rock any dj's dark set and the dance floor, but there are also some tracks that tell me nothing much. the tracks follow a certain scheme, with a geometry that changes along with the evolution of each track. you'll find a lot of power in the beat, many wicked sounds, samples, effects, that sound damn good and give all the spice of the tracks. you can also hear melodies in the tracks here and there, but they're not the main issue here, the melodic parts are almost in the background, and not repetitive. while listening, you will find yourself saying "hey that part was good, i hope it comes again". well, generally, they don't come back. the tracks usually start in one way and they end up into almost another track. i said "there are some tracks that tell me nothing". i'm talking here about some samples or parts in some tracks that scratch my brain and they're not higly accessible to me (but they may be to others), and some effects/samples/parts that may give some tracks a chaotic evolution. it's annoying, because the bassline and some parts (the other layers) are still good! so if you ask me, going track by track you will find ups and downs i'd say. but more ups. so i conclude this release as a good compilation. my favourite tracks are 1, 2, 3, 6, 7
  9. yes, they are very good the album tracks are built on the finish psy line. the bonus tracks are wicked but maybe a little less "finish psy" than the album tracks, maybe they're not as fast, but still keep an energetic rythm. so i guess that's why you like them better Martin. they are dancefloor tracks for sure, and damn good ones. they fit my review for the album tracks. so i will not repeat myself. either way, both the album and the bonus tracks are good, i like them equally. Squaremeat is psychedelic till the end
  10. he's also quite a nice guy. Time Lock - 10 Seconds Away (2004)
  11. Colin, if you ever come back on psynews and check this thread again... i would like to ask if it's possible to find some info on how to get to the party. i'm coming to the party from far east Europe ..
  12. lol i could not possibly reply to this thread properly. just call me a n00b i guess
  13. oh , i wanted to include also Sensient, but i forgot. oh well, next time. Sensient, i hope you will not get upset. thanks nemo i accept also critics, till 5pm.
  14. ok, my first set in this thread had some lame parts. so, i wasn't so smart back then, but now i are it. so this is what i'd nuke the dance floor with (generally a prog trance set): 2 PM - Catz Jaia vs. French Kisz - Drifting Planet Tegma - Myth Of An Angel Minilogue - Leloo Ticon - It Breakz My Heart Son Kite - On Air (New Disco Science Alliance remix) Antix - Le Lascard Antix - Hiding Place Sub6 feat Michele Adamson - 7th Son (Ticon remix) Tegma - Clock Next Door Ticon - Waiting For The Knights Ticon - Groovin The Bed Vibrashpere - Lemon Phase Holm & Andersen - Cityrain Beckers - Switch Midi Miliz - Feet In The Air Son Kite - Colours (Luke Chable Remix) Son Kite - Let Us Be (Vibrasphere remix) Logic Bomb - Datalinks weey i'd like to make a killargh psytrance set (in my mind, not actually make the mix), but i totally suck, cause i wanna put so many different style tracks in it, so i have to find bridge-tracks to make the set sound actually good. i want melodic - the uplifting kind, i want melodic - the psychedelic twisted kind, i want dark, fast, full-on, not full on, etc etc it would not be chaotic, but fun, entertaining, cause nobody would get bored. sounds a bit crazy, ha?
  15. Squaremeat - Astronomical Coffee Break - love it Voice Of Cod - We Are Free - love it Shpongle - Dorset Perception / Beija Flor - love it the rest of them, i don't know probably Derango was a good choice too.

  19. @ GSH my avatar isn't big enough for your vynil
  20. i don't know much but i'd like to mention that i really like Sub6 feat Michele Adamson - 7th Son (Ticon Remix) - Ticon did a very nice job in there, this one could kick ass in any more or less commercial club or even on MTV. i also like lately: Psysex - LSD (Psysex remix)
  21. well then you must know that here we sometimes joke around based on the rough-tough isratrance rules. i don't bother to search either. anyway, have fun on psynews and ... TOPIC LOCKED USER BANNED.
