  1. Excuse my ignorance, but what is Nitzhonot? It's not the first time I've heard it mentioned. EDIT: Nevermind. I found a thread about it.
  2. I finally figured out what was bugging me about older Growling Mad Scientists (the only GMS I know). It's the basslines/kick. they have that typical Goa thing going on. While that's cool when you have loads of synths on top it feels a little stale for this kind of stuff. I think that's why X-Dream's Radio and Hux Flux's Cryptic Crunch both stand out as so much better to me today. They have those rolling and ultra funky basslines (16th note?).
  3. Debut album by a French Black Metal band called Mütiilation. The vinyl version has gone for more than 1500 usd. Back when the dollar was worth a lot more of course.
  4. It's a very good idea, but only if people are willing to contribute. First thing one could do would be to browse Psynews.org and gather all the info (from old threads) you can find about a certain artist/label and collect it in one thread/section. I would be willing to do that. But probably only for a short while unless there's some kind of response. I think Psynews.org's biggest problem right now is that many of the veterans who have loads of knowledge don't post here anymore. It's mostly "new" people like me who is reading old stuff, and I honestly don't know shit about the "old days". I therefore don't have much trivia to contribute. So how do we get these people interested? That's the question.
  5. Check out the comps is all I can say
  6. That's the only Creamcrop release I haven't listened to properly yet. I can see that some people have complained about the mastering. I'd advice you the check out the two comps called Liquid Levels and foldedView. Doesn't get much better than that if you're into stuff like early Hux Flux and Process.
  7. I just finished my Creamcrop CD collection and what better reason to start a thread dedicated to them? I personally feel that Creamcrop was one of the - very - few labels that managed to take Trance into the next millennium without loosing the "psychedelic" aspect of the music. Process, Paps, Yumade, Hux Flux... Some of the most twisted and intelligent Psy you'll ever hear. No cheesy borderline House elements or half-baked attempts to revive the sounds of yesterday. Forward thinking and positivistic yet pure. It's a shame that they ended up closing doors so soon. They could have been a healthy counterbalance to the "controlled" and "slick" sound of Iboga. Danish Progressive's crazy cousin. Yet somehow they're still here materialized in plastic and with a perfect legacy to boot. Rest In Players around the world. Any other crazy trancers who loved/followed this label back in the day?
  8. Thanks. That Komakino track gave me a good feeling.
  9. Sorry for brining this old thread back to life, but I think this post is worth reading for those who haven't. Interesting perspective.
