they already got spoiled! some friends caught them in concert not to long ago and they had this rasta mc-icing for like 90% of the thing you could say michelle adamson helped them... i would beg to differ...
-
hell and evil worshipping got nothing to do with psyfactor... i would suggest you listen to the music first, observe... second

i have friend who is really into spacecat too he enjoys silent sphere a lot (the first cd > 7) Phenix ... is an amazing song). Sub 6 used to very quality music until they turned pop 40's greatest hits with all those vocals. I liked Hydrophonic (Aquabatics) it can be a little clubby, but you know what? i think that is not bad at times. Sun Control species seldom lets me down. I like Metronome... there is B.r.a.z.i.l. i have cought in a couple of comopo's that was quiteee nice... i'm not sure if this stuff qualifies as full on, but is moving and is not on the harder stuff... but if that is the case i enjoyed Klangbilderzeuger which is kind of bokshe beats...im gonna stop there for now.. by no means you should take these as my favourites... just throwing names in the air really

Artist: Psyfactor Album: Evil Inside Label: Trishula Records Year: 2005 Format: CD Country: Germany Label Blurb: "The trishula is a three-pronged weapon which symbolizes the destruction of the ego with its three-fold desires of the body, mind and intellect. Lord Shiva with his weapon indicates his victory over his ego and attainment of the state of perfection" It is also an independent record label producing groovy to night-time and seriously dark psychedelic trance. Songs: 01. Shitty Bastards (147 BPM's) 02. Ghost (148 BPM's) 03. I'm So Happy (148 BPM's) 04. Child Of Darkness (147 BPM's) 05. Hellraver (148 BPM's) 06. Brain Destruction (147 BPM's) 07. Angry Goblin (148 BPM's) 08. Fear Square (147 BPM's) 09. Good And Evil (150 BPM's) The artwork and the song names make the implication this is a dark CD, but I don't think Psyfactor is taking on the role too seriously. I feel acertain kinship in the cover with the posters of horror movies in the fifties and sixties, there is even a little Planet of the Apes quality to it. We know it is bizarre it seems they are trying to scare us, but we just can't help but feel curiosity instead of terror. Evil Inside unfolds in between dark atmospheric surroundings, alongside mechanized beats at high speeds. The heavily distorted riffs rumble like the gastric juices of a beast having ingested some electronic device that still half-works. If metal would have dropped the guitars for dark psychedelic trance, it would sound a little like Psyfactor. It is an evolution from the industrial sound dating back from the days of Front Line Assembly & Front 242, when the synthesizers and power cords mixed together and made something dark, electric and satisfying. Many of us would rather not remember psy trance has some roots in this genre, because admittedly some of it might not sound very musical. Dimitry is exploring this edge of cacophony and of dark realms with a skew Goa inclination. The melodies mutate and intertwine in between notes and electrical impulses in the purest form of sonic energy (pardon the pun). This is what Batman plays in the Batmobile when he is feeling like running over old-ladies; back when Tim Burton was in charge. Defining his sound for me would be placing it somewhere in between Manifold's eerie production style and the never-ending melodic mutations of Chromatome on a dark Halloween day… not forgetting the Kindzadza kick and bass. I find the beat patterns a bit droning at times though, even if the thing works better triple espresso. With his collaboration on V/A – A Magical Journey (Ajana records ) i'd like to think there is an interesting talent developing. My highlights : 02. Ghost How can so many random effects be so tightly harmonized? There is a ghost in this machine and he is sure missing a few screws. The ghost rides high on this track with a squelching riff that just keeps on going. Every effect for simple it may sound, slowly seems to evolve in a melodic manner as the synapses in my brain keep exploding of enjoyment. 06. Brain Destruction And we continue burning more... synapses, with is one. It feels like metal-trance fusion if it wasn't for those eerie pads. The drum work is deep and fat, counting the atmospheric moments much like in the Dracula movie. In between there is that heavily distorted riff that leaves me wondering if I should be dancing or crushing people in a moshpit. 08. Fear Square 'The square' gives you ample time to overlay this one correctly in a set without much fear structural changes in the 4/4 composition. Three minutes into the thing and changes start occurring rapidly, with intertwined melodies mixing alongside the squelchy sounds that have been there since the beginning. Minute five rolls around and it just hits you, this makes sense… 09. Good And Evil This one is an obvious attempt at making Psyfactor a little more accessible for those who are not that crazy about the dark psychedelic affair. The song moves like a battle in between uplifting melodies and dark demented synths in one crossbreed of transient vibes. Who wins the battle? The lucky chaps dancing the night away i suppose. saiko samples Chaos Unlimited Psyshop

Compilation: Tribal Maker Label: Tribal Records Year: 2005 Format: CD Web: http://www.tribalrec.com Country: Israel / Slovakia Track listing: 1) Z-Machine - Try 2 Fly 2) Zion & Insert Silence - Nano Tech 3) TUL - Peperoni Machine 4) Hujaboy - The Real U 5) Black & White - Electricity 6) Goblin - Bad Trip 7) E-Jekt - Good Old Days 8) ESP - Shtakumblator 9) Nitro & Dima - Shua Review Compiled by Zion, Tribal Maker is the 5th release from Slovakia and Israel based TribalRecords, and I've got to admit it's the first one of theirs that I have heard. The label seem keen to distance themselves and this compilation from the usual Israeli expectation, presenting a far more underground side of the countries trance output. This can only be a good thing. The opening track from Z-Machine really takes the name of the compilation to heart and presents tribal percussion and chanting which soon gives way to a track that hits you with some delicious squelchyness. Z-Machine were certainly paying attention in Hallucinogen 101 as this track zips and pans about the stereo in a style that is reminicent of a certain Mr P. Hands up who thinks this is a bad thing? Nope...didn't think so. Great way to open the album then. Zion and Insert Silence are up next with "Nano Tech" which provides a solid foundation then adds layer upon layer of hyperactive touches on top before a mobile phone ringtone/answer routine - I'm not exactly sure what is said but it sounds like the guy says "Killlaaaargh", which conjoured up images of an unknown Dom Joly routine "HELLO...yeah I'm at a rave....yeah yeah the music is KILLLLAAAARGH"...so top marks to Zion and Insert Silence for unintentionally putting that image in my head. The track then proceeds to hit you with lines that are all over the place in a very cool way, ever changing and unpredictable. Psychedelic in fact. Track 3 is Peperoni Machine from TUL. It's full on, with a bassline mirrored by a creaky midrange. Melodies flit in out and the tune progresses as much as a result of the layer upon layer piled on top. Think along the lines of Artifakt and you have a fair idea what to expect. The Real U from Hujaboy bounces along nicely before dropping out to the sample "the television is the retina of the minds eye, the television screen is part of the physical structure of the brain, whatever appears on the television screen emerges as raw experience for those that watch it. Television is reality, and reality is less than television" followed by the sort of bassline that puts a spring in your step like somebody just filled your reebok pumps with laughing gas. Hujaboy is great is teasing the listener and some of the detail in this track just leaves you thinking "whatever gave him the idea to stick that noise in there" as unseen objects appear to fly past you. "Reality is less than television" but this track is loads more. Black and White dish up some piano and other sounds that are distinctly acid house in a tune that is 100% modern sounding. You probably just read that last sentence and thought "well that sounds a bit odd, can't imagine that works" but I can assure you it does, the overall effect is original and certainly a track that if used right in a set will really make people take notice. Goblin's Bad Trip for me is one of the total treats on the album, being in love as I am with wibbly wobbly old-school analog lines. This track is full of them. It should be the law that every album contains at least one track full of tweaking acid. That would be cool .This track makes you understand why. Initially I wasn't sure what E-Jekt were up to with Good Old Days, I mean there are some nice noises going on and it presses forwards nicely but I felt that the track should have a trick up it's sleeve. And it does. You see we are lead like lambs towards a sample that initially tricks you into thinking it's going to be pure stilton as it talks about drugs being poison blah blah blah but then as it says "even more" and then loops the "en more, en more, en more" tweaking the nuts off it as the track builds behind you until a completely alien voice is telling you "en more" and the track kicks back in with a vengence. Top marks. I've got a feeling we'll be hearing that sample all over the place this summer. ESP's completely unpronouncable Shtakumblator is just designed to completely eat up dancefloors. The bassline drives onwards, while little iddy biddy noises flit about the top end. And oh yes, more acid style analog tweakin'! Keeps me happy that's for sure. Overall then Tribal Records have put together a compilation that manages to seperate itself from the crowd, not because it delivers anything particularly new or groundbreaking - on the contrary many of it's move are decidedly old-school - but because it manages to sound underground without being inaccessible and is well aware what the PSY in psytrance stands for. A great collection of tracks, many of which will be finding their way into my sets for the foreseeable future. Review by -Dj MonkeyDo

Compilation: Magus Remixes Label: Headstick Records Year: 2005 Format: CD Web: www.headstick.gr Country: Greece Songs: 01. Stepladder (Sensient Rmx) (140 BPM's) 02. Realm Of The Jealous Gods (Bigwigs Rmx) (138 BPM's) 03. Oxymorous (Man Made Man Rmx) (144 BPM's) 04. Egoes Out (Phacelift Rmx) (140 BPM's) 05. Digital Silence (Genetic Spin Rmx) (140 BPM's) 06. Liquid Mint (La Baaz Rmx) (134 BPM's) 07. Nature In The Machine (Igneous Rmx) (140 BPM's) 08. Imploded Brains (Setherian Rmx) (143 BPM's) 09. Crystal Ball (Bar Code Rmx) (138 BPM's) I'm going to be honest. I have not heard much Magus before I picked this baby up. So, offering you an idea of how much the sound has changed from its original form is bit hard... what originally attracted me was the caliber of the people they got together for the compilation: Big Wigs, Igneous Sauria, Sensient, Man Made Man, Phacelift, et al. 01. Stepladder (Sensient Rmx) The Larner brothers are back new with new goodies from the Sunny Australian coasts. On Stepladder you can definitely hear how the sound bank of their latest offering Pressure Optimal influences the song. ‘Stepladder’ is in between “Rhythmic Transposition” and “Guns n Ammo”. By the end, the track manages to break a bit the chaotic monotony with a soothing assortment of pads as the Sensient signature is marked throughout. 02. Realm Of the Jealous Gods (Bigwigs Rmx) Grzegorz Magnuszewski, Tomek Roehr, and J. Przezdziecki resurface after their numerous appearances in between Spiral Trax, the formerly known Medium records (Midijum), Neurobiotic and Digital Structures where they released Fraktalik Fraternity in 2003. ‘The Realms of the Jealous Gods’ (what an awesome name) follows well from the first track with a slow, but punching kick and a distorted buzz a-la bass line. The voice samples are always bizarre and delightful. It is minimal production like we have heard in the past, nitty-gritty kicks and well detailed splashes of electronic teases. After 7 seven minutes though, the song hails to its unexpected ending and I'm left wanting a bit more. What exactly? I am not sure, but a bit more… 03. Oxymorous (Man Made Man Rmx) Man Made Man should need no introduction, producing psy trance for over ten years, with a good measure of success, they know how to show us a good time. ‘Oxymorous’ gets off the ground with no delay bombarding the speakers with satisfying kicks and deep bass lines. The juices fly from all directions in a mechanical fashion much like V/A – Wild Rumpus showing no mercy for trancers. Squelchy synth lines, drowned voices with top notch delays, added to the already the complex equation. Sensorial overload … 04. Egoes Out (Phacelift Rmx) Greek born Kostas Alekoglou started Magus in 1996 in with Christos Tatitzikidis (Igneous). His production career took yet another turn with the creation of Phacelift in the early nineties. The debut album Path of Pathos on Candyflip records was a note-worthy release in 1993, describing the sound as “progressive techno-trance” with a few layers of originality. The song is a bit faster than his earlier works and let me tell you, it works quite well. Like it could be expected the production is complex, tightly orchestrated and bumpin’ alright. I have not heard the original version as I mentioned, but I can feel the older leads hinting some aspects of the original production. 05. Digital Silence (Genetic Spin Rmx) All the way from Denmark Simon Towity and Michael Schultz make up Genetic Spin. The duo has been published in Nervine, Leguan, Creamcrop, Iboga, and USTA records amongst others. Even though I have not heard nearly as much Genetic Spin as it is available out there, I can already feel like I have heard the sound somewhere else. Besides the slightly eerie background samples, some aspects of the production feel down-right Israeli. It resembles in some way that tuneful full on morning we have already heard from that side of the world. 06. Liquid Mint (La Baaz Rmx) La Baaz (who exactly are they I’m not sure), but they have songs out in Flow records, Traktor Schlllabor, Sub Machine and Exotic Native productions. ‘Liquid Mint’ is a quasi-tribal treat with progressive overtones and what I have grown to identify as the Magus sound omnipresent in this compilation: A collection of mysterious leads and even more ominous & blurry voice samples. 07. Nature in the Machine (Igneous Rmx) Tatitzikidis (repeat the name three times real fast) is the yang of the original Magus, nowadays known to the world as Igneous Sauria. He has released music in the past with Interzone, Creamcrop, Candyflip, Flying Rhino and Headstick recordings. ‘The Nature Machine’ begins in a very ghostly manner as delayed synthesizers later on introduce a taste of organic drumming and you can feel those crispy tambourines. I feel the leads by the end are a bit primary and redundant after a while, but it could very well be a an imprint of the original song. 08. Imploded Brains (Setherian Rmx) Dj Seth adds a little Brazilian spice to the mix with his typical driving beat work and well executed structure. I get a strange aftertaste in the break, when a loungy melody appears as the sample informs us he will be “smoking cannabis all this week” that’s great mate, I probably will too… should I write a song about it? The answer is of course no, since I am useless in those endeavors and even if tried the output would be nowhere near as interesting and diverse. 09. Crystal Ball (Bar Code Rmx) The voice samples feel removed, distant like the voice of an airport operator informing us the flight is leaving soon, but we just can’t be bothered to check what gate. The Crystal ball has this dreamy quality to it, as interesting percussion drives the song on the borderline progressive. Personally a more edgy and bouncy kick a-la Antic would have increased the cool factor by a few notches, but the mastering is not bad. so you have prob been in this place longer than me. point being we are all into psy trance, but if you seek hard enough, i don't think there is one single cd or project making music in which everyone in this board would agree on. well... maybe eat static... or old infected mushroom or something like that. but even so, too many opions like you saw and that's always refreshing
