  1. I was never a big fan of The Gathering but Classical Mushroom is imho still a masterpiece. And I still do listen to it once in a while.
  2. I think you might be glorifying Switzerland. I personally doubt it would be easier for you to find a job here. Mainly because grades and other qualifications are also important here if you want a job. The Handelsschule has similar subjects like the ones you have to attend if you do an office apprenticeship (kaufmännische Berufsausbildung), there is no need to have an Abitur for that. But if you want to attend classes for business science and accounting you either (depending on the classes so you want to take) have to have the Abitur or a finished apprenticeship.
  3. In Switzerland it certainly isn't but our school System works differently. But I do now that the English Cambridge diplomas for sure aren't. And they work in the same way in all the countries since that Cambridge Institute is hosting all of them.
  4. You don't have to study English to get a good diploma in English. ll you need to to do is attending classes for the Cambridge diplomas. That's what I did. They are internationaly known and all you have to do is attending the exams. There are preparation classes offered in all of the languages School. You can even get a diploma that certifies that your English is good enough to teach others (that's what my friend who worked as a translator did). You dont need to have the Abitur or any other qualifacations. You can even just go and attend the exams if you pay the fee. Which would imho not make much sense since you will need to prepare yourself. Yes, accounting has nothing to do with Algebra and the likes. I work with that and I was never good at Algebra. You could attend a Handelschule (that's how it is called in Switzerland) but it might be possible that you will have to pay for that and that you need certain schoolgrades for that too.
  5. No problem, I really hope you will find a job or an apprenticeship in the near future. Be it in Germany or Bulgaria. I wouldn't rate the Swiss people as cold but also here people with a handicap like yours can't find jobs that easy. People who run a business are into it for the money so the also want the best employees. There are extra jobs for people with handicaps but not as much as were needed so... Maybe there is a school more related to IT or business science you could go to? Or as you mentioned yourself get a higher English diploma. The TOEFL is not bad but if you want to do translations as work you might need a better one. Maybe you could even do that with distance learning (Fernstudium) so you don't have to bother with those overhead projectors?
  6. That's what I meant when I said maybe sooner or later you will have to take something like the apprenticeship in Stuttgart if you want to get something done. I'm not sayin you have to do it or something like that, it's your decision. But as you wrote yourself: the longer you don't have any work experience the harder it will get to find something. Especially if your grades aren't that great. I do understand you don't want to waste three years of your life in a city you don't like. On the other hand how many years will feel wasted (when you look back) if you are still living with your parents in a few years, still not having your own money? I don't know that much about the German school system but is there maybe a way to take some classes to get another graduation than the one you have (or the same but with better grades)?
  7. I don't know if you'd have better chances in Switzerland. Here French is more important than English since French is one of the four national languages. And employers also base their decisions on your grades. Which English diplomas do you have btw? And did the career counseling check some of your applications to maybe make them better (I'm not saying your applicatios are bad but a professional eye on them never hurt imho). I understand you don't want to switch to another city to get an apprenticeship. But considering your age maybe sooner or later you will have to accept something like that go start working. Mainly because I think it might be easier to find a job or an apprenticeship in a bigger city.
  8. My I ask what kind of jobs they recommended? But the situation on the job market is bad at the moment. And I take it your problems with your eyeseight does not make it any easier for you. Considering I know lots of people who sent out 100 applications before they got a job...
  9. Btw. did you ever visited a career counseling (Berufsberatung)? I know you tried to get an apprenticeship or job in the IT-field and unfortunately it didn't work out. Maybe they can analyze your talents and then give you some hints about other fields where you would have better chances. I know it sucks that employers rate you mainly based on your grades from School but in the end you have to work with what you have and maybe some fresh Inputs would help you with that.
  10. A friend of mine used to do online translations from German to English (or vice versa, I can't remember), I could ask her for whom she did that. I'm just pretty sure she had to show a certain degree before she got accepted. I'm again not really sure but I think you must have the Cambridge English proficiency diploma to get accepts (or something on an equal level). Have you thought about doing translations from Bulgarian to German? I mean there your chances would imho be much bigger since you're an native Bulgarian speaker but also went to school in Germany. And have you tried Google for any of those Portals? I'm sure you can check online what diploma you need to work for them.
  11. I only wear psychedelic shirts when I go out. I don't own that many: an old dragonfly sweater, a black shirt with shrooms and a gnome on it, a black sweater with some linked circles and one with somthing similar to a snowflake. But I just ordered that sweater: Can't wait to get it!
  12. Well Radi, I never denied I take drugs (I wrote about that pretty openly here in the past and also in other forums) and I would even say I am an addict. Not in the sense of being physically addicted to anything but I get used to taking stuff regularly pretty fast and I need to keep an eye on that. It's up to you what you think about people who take drugs. But your comment about taking hard drugs as a women is rather silly from my point of view. Not because taking hard drugs is not dangerous but because the sideffects and the dangers are rather similar for men and women.
  13. Ritalin is very closely related to amphetamine: similar in chemical structure, metabolization and clinical effects, means it can make you mentally dependent on it (lots of people abuse Ritalin big time) and means if you use regularly it will lead to similar sidefeffets like speed. Since it shares some similarities with coke It was also used (in a test series) as a substitute for coke addicts. Go figure... Sure it helps you to concentrate and sure it helps if you are suffering from depression. But stuff like that always comes for a price: if you are alleady suffering from depression fucking with your brain chemistry in that way will most likely not make it better in the long run, even when it helps you dealing with the short time effects of that illness. If you think taking Ritalin is not a big thing would you also agree that snorting speed daily (not shitloads but lets say two or three lines to get you through the day) is also no big deal? I can say from personal experiences (with speed and coke, not Ritalin) this is not something I can recommend so maybe you should be glad it is not available without a prescription... Especially because if you manage to get a prescription the doctor will help you with the dosage and what not. On your own the chances are big (imho) that you will fuck it up, doing more damange than good to you. I wonder how the Nootrop will work, will you keep us updated?
  14. Funny, it's also one of the full-on tracks I like. Not exactly a highlight of the genre but still decent.

  16. I can't imagine ever giving my collection away. I still have shitloads of trance vinyls even when I don't have a record player anymore. If I die it would be nice if somebody who likes the music will take it. I might write that in my last will. On the other hand I will be dead anyway so I guess I will no longer care...
  17. All I can say is maybe it helps if you use earplugs so you won't hear the noise as good as you do now. Or listen to music on an MP3-player when you go outside.. I never lived outside the city and I don't know it any better. I don't mind the noise tho. But for me the slow walking people are a bigger problem than the fast ones. I need to get stuff done in time, go to work, do whatever (unless I'm on a walk) and if people nearly fall asleep in front of me it pisses me off a lot.
  18. I can't remember my first psy vinyl exactly but the first CDs were Yahel - Waves Of Sound, IM - Classical Mushroom, Psysex - Expressions Of Rage and various Artists - Lovefield No Dream But Life. I can stills feel the magic when I first got the albums and was able to listen to the formerly unknown tracks from the parties whenever I liked.
  19. Just preordered the CD... The downloadable track is ace btw.
  20. I don't know but how I see mankind I personaly think that either we will change our ways rather fast or we will nuke (maybe not exactly nuke but something related to war) ourselves back to the technology level of the middle ages or something like that. Means if we really manage to colonize any planet within that time that's a good sign. Imagine how far we could have evolved space travelling if all the money that was and is blown out for wars and war technology was invested in space technology. I personally think that recruiting volunteers for a mission like that is a good thing. Mainly because forcing people to do it is not right. I also think that it shoud not be a problem to find the right people among the volunteers. What makes me sceptical is the reality TV show part of it. I mean the public votes who will be able to go. I wonder on what criteria: who looks hot naked? Who is the biggest bitch/bellend? But besides that the possibility for a manned Mission to Mars sounds tempting to me. Not that I'm ready to give up my life but still.
  21. Here's my selection for B and C (this thing reminds me a bit about preparing my too small mp3-player for a trip...): Hallucinogen - Twisted Yahel - Waves Of Sound Infected Mushroom - Classical Mushroom Space Cat - Mechanical Dream Delirious Noon - Launch For Lanctus Talpa - The Path Crossing Mind - The Inner Shift Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? Younger Brother - The Last Days Of Gravity Sensual Squeak - The Mojo Monkey
  22. Nice album, have fun with it! I really like the first Dragonfly releases. But their EPs were also great, lots of gems...
  23. And another one of my favs: Jaia - promo liveset 2010 https://soundcloud.com/#jaia/jaia-promo-live-set-224kbps
  24. Yahel - a retro-goa live set: https://soundcloud.com/#djyahel/yahel-retro-goa-live-set-free Infected Mushroom - Retro Set - Super classico 2012:
  25. Nice thread! I think it was arround 2001, when I was in my early twenties, when I started to go to parties where electornical music was played. My first love was trance but then a friend of mine took me to a psy party where her brother was djing. From then on I was hooked. I never produced anything and I just started djing now but back then I was buying records and CDs like crazy. Which is also my main way of supporting the scene. And there is so much nice stuff to discover! The old classics but also the isratrance-stuff and a bit later the first wave of melodic full-on. That's also when I discovered psynews and the reviews section. I wrote some reviews but there were other who put out way more. For me those were the golden days! Nowadays lots of psy sound generic to my ears. But there are still gems coming out. I also go to psy-parties but only a few a year.
