  1. I've listened to the set twice. The first time I just didn't get it and stoped listening after half of it. Now after the second time I have to say it really is brilliant! The tracks are very varied but the flow is always there and as DP says the mixing is amazing. My favourite part is near the end with the melodic tracks but the whole mix is just great. Well, what else can I say... Keep up the good work!
  2. Listening to the set right now, I've heard a bit more than half of it. I think it's fucking brilliant, even when the quality of the mp3 is low. So far I like it way better then the first one. Every track rocks...
  3. To be hones I don't know his old tracks, shame on me... I just saw hiim DJing once in London (by accident more or less) and I've enjoyed it a lot. Bought his boods afterwards and I have one single track on vinyl (an old one). But thanks for making me think about checking out FNAC!!
  4. Well, I'm not taking any responsibility for it! If you need help I'm glad to provide new ideas and stuff but since I don't have connections or anything I can't see what I could do besides giving you ideas. And when talking about ideas: What about Laurent Garnier? Not really trance I guess but he is a pionieer, isn't he? Have you read his book (biography)? I've started reading it, very interesting, but I've stopped since it's very difficult because I only have it in French. And my French is not good enough to read books. From what I have read he knows a lot, especially about the scene in England, raves and stuff. I've read in an interview that he had a phase when he took a lot of cocaine, maybe this was in this time? It would fit the behaviour if you ask me. Especially when nowhe is a rather friendly or at least normal guy to talk to.
  5. I'm glad you like me idea! I just though that people will have an extra motivation to buy the book and the CD instead of just downloading the tracks when they hear about it from friends. Plus you can always add new stuff on the page (kijnd like a database or whatever) if you find some new informations or meet new artists. And you can allready start the page when publishing the book is far away, so you can promote yourself, maybe find sponsors and reach the public...
  6. I see that, the longer you think the better it gets!! You can be sure I'll be the first to buy the Book and CDs... You could add a link or maybe pin-code in every book so people could access a website (or a special part of a website since it would be better everyone can access the regular site) with special informations or more tracks to download. Then you could use the webspace to post the full interviews and all.
  7. True, I haven't seen it from this point of view! But free promo is of course always welcome...
  8. That sounds cool! When you've allready talked to Sven it might really be possible that he answers the question. That would be just great... I am personally a bit affraid that some artists are not that interested answering question when it's not for something that brings them money. But maybe I'm just to negative... (hopefully I am!! )
  9. Hooray, I hope it is as good as the first one!
  10. Guess I have to check out Igal M then. I've never heard of him before... When you say nice melodies I just HAVE to check it out, especially when it's a psynews member! I guess this could be something for me since I like full-on. Thanks for all the infos so far, I'll try to find some of the stuff and check it out when I go to the psyshop next time.
  11. I'm listening to the Euphoria DJ-mix by Prophane, still great... I have to listen to the Ticon remix from 7th Son again and again. Michelle's voice just sounds great there!
  12. Israel is most known for its full-on/commercial trance artists. So I'd like to know are there any progressive artists from israel? I don't know much about prog so maybe this is a stupid question. I do like some stuff but I'm more into melodic, so it's not necessarely that I want new stuff to listen to. I'm just general interested what's going on but it still might be that I'll check out some stuff if you recommend me some über-hyper-good prog...
  13. DJ Buzz - Whales Clubtrance with a very beautifull melody... *melts away*
  14. I've seen that thread. Rain and I are official soulmates in the "be positive at psynews.org"-club!!
  15. U96 (Alex Christensen) has his place for shure, but then I think you should also add the guys from the Shamen (just to let me know what they are up to nowadays), Marusha and Westbam!
  16. I just can come up with the usual stuff: How did you get into electronical music and especially trance? What are your experiences with drugs or your opinion about them? Do you still listen to the old sound or have you grown out of it? Top 5 or 10 of old tracks? What is your favourite style nowadays? Do you listen to other genres (non-electronic for example)? Is it still fun for you to produce music and DJ?
  17. Thanks a lot! And I love your posts about old-school trance/techno psy to give you a compliment back! Besides that, there is so much bitching and whining on this side I think that I need to mark the positive side sometimes... Plus I absolute LOVE psy, a lot of the stuff that is coming out new and old stuff and...
  18. Thanks god I'm not that much into Shpongle. I will sure not buy this boxset just to get the art and a CD with unreleased tracks. But if he ever does the same with the Hallucinogen albums, I'm lost...
  19. It's the same whining every year: psy has gotten so commercial, there are no good releases, everything is full-on (some years ago it was minimal instead of full-on) and so on... I don't really know what the problem is, there are so many different styles with good and bad releases that even you for example don't like full-on you should be able to find other releases that fit you. There is dark psy, proggy, minimal (maybe not psyminimal, I can't tell the difference anyway), morning, melodic, new-school, ambient, house influenced like Jaia... If you don't like anything then maybe you haven't digged deep enough or you are maybe to fixed for a single style/sound? Anyway, I find more and more releases every year I like. So I can say 2005 is nicey nice! Happy me!
  20. Dub Collective - Take Me Away From the classic old-school hardcore/breakbeat/techno/whaterver comp Kaos Theory 2.
  21. Marillion - Freaks Unreleased track from the newly mastered and enhanced double CD Misplaced Childhood. Very great song, don't know why they didn't add it on the original album.
