Never heard that explanation before but sounds logical. For me stuff like Dance2Trance is early trance (or remember trance) and synthpop is something like Kraftwerk. Anyway, I wonder what I think about the indication of the styles when I actually hear some of the tracks.

I'm downloading it right know, it looks good... Tell me when the comp you are talking about is out. I might consider buying it when I like the tracks in your mix. I tell you what I think about the mix when I've heard it several times...

I see the difference between Deep Rising from Space Cat and Time Stimulation by Talamasca. I like both tracks btw... But why do you think that your idea of emotional and cheezy has to fit everybody else? Feeling something emotion in a track is once again something very personal and something that depends on your personal taste. Nearly evey person gets moved by something else, if you find it cheezy, why should I or somebody else change my view to fit your point of view? I don't care what people think about my taste, if they consider it cheesy, no problem! If they think they are more grown than I because the listen to the "right" kind of music. Well, no problem again! But at that point I might consider people thinking in that category grown-up but close-minded...
