Not really change but enhance... I personally would NEVER add a link it that section (Artist news...) when I had a DJ mix ready. Mainly because when I read posts in that department I'm expecting professional releases or infos for labels and stuff. And not some trainwrecked dj-mix by a nobody...
-
Ok, so another album to put on my wantlist. One day my CD addiction will ruin me completely...
-
Sure I see your point. But since it's a psyforum I'm way more interested in getting a mix from a user than hearing some of his stories (that's what the posts in the off-topic section are for). For the rest of my point read Tekks' reply, that's exactly what I mean.

I don't think it has anything to do with being important or something like that. At least not for me... I think it would be great to see what artists that are not that well-known (and from what I understand it's more about artists or DJs that are active here at psynews and not about big names) have to offer. There have been some nice DJ mixes to download and I think it would be great to see what those people are up to without having to search all threads. But you are right, an artist section like in istratrance with gossip and stuff about big names is not really necessary (imho).

I would really appreciate a new forum with dj mixes in it. As Moni said it could be a sub-forum in the music making section, I think it would fit there. And I would know where to go to find nice stuff...

I went to the local psyshop to pick up some flyers and found to nice CDs in the bargain bin. This on is for my gf, only 5 bucks...: Pierre Cloud - La Moment http://www.discogs.com/release/74225 and this on is for me, only 10 bucks: v/A - Positive Prototype (Proton Records) http://www.discogs.com/release/446461 Happy day...

Hei Tekk, my Name is... Oh wait, we've allready been introduced... Anyway, I just wanted to say that you do a great job here so don't get irritated by some complaints. Psynew is still great (even better if you ask me). Hope that was on-topic enough...
-
Hehe, thank you. I've allready seen the thread and I've downloaded the mix. Need to wait until my co-worker is gone but then I'll listen to it immediately.
-
Sounds nice, think I'll put it on my wantlist on discogs...
-
Downloading right now... I hope I'll like it as much as I like your first mix!

Thanks for the info! Funny thing is allready have the album but I didn't recognise the track... Think I need to listen to it again, soon! The mix itself is really great, I love all the tracks and I think they are all very psychedelic but still melodic and nice to dance to. The only thing that is not that good is, as Elixir has allready mentioned, that some of the mixes are not properly beatmached. But still, I like it a lot and I hope that you keep up with your good work, I really like it! I also wouldn't mind if you would post one of your old-school mixes since I love that also...
-
@reger: This is why you can't download them anymore...

I'm listening to the mix right now... Could you please tell me the name and artist of the first track? It just sounds great...
-
I've only found the time to listen to Ukiro's Howlin Dawn mix and it's just brilliant. I recognise hardly any tracks even if I have a lot of records myself but still, it's totally my style. I guess I have to fall down on my knees and kiss Ukiro's boots when I'm done with the whole mix...

Prodigy - The Law First it was Charly (Alley Cat remix) *miauioui* and now it's No Good. *rocks in chair) -
Sounds good, as much as I know I don't have any of the tracks so I'm waiting for your review to see if I should put the album on my wantlist.
-
Tracklist looks interesting, how do you like it?
-
Yes, could somebody please post a link to the stream?!

Non Psy tunes that should be played at psy parties
Tatsu replied to Frontier Psychiatrist's topic in General Psytrance
A very good track that only some Germans might now is Wir Sind Helden - Guten Tag. It's more rock but has some samples in it, heard it in a techno set (the original track not a remix) and people were going crazy. I guess it could also work in a psyparty when the people are a bit open minded (since it's rock it has a lot of vocals). -

Oh yes, Voodoo People is such a great track, also the others like Firestarter. I sure would love to hear that in a psyset. I love you for knowing the Panique Celitque track, the whole album by Manau is just so great! I didn't expect that anybody here (well, maybe exept some French people) now it in this forum. Moni, you rock! Back in the good old days the barrier between goa and trance wasn't that big. At least not when I look at the old comps: some nice trance tracks besides nice goa. I wouldn't mind when the genres start floating into each other again. As you've said: people are way to much into genres than into good music in general. That's a classic track, I love it!!! I can't name any tracks that I would like to hear but I can tell you a little tale about the last party I was: it was a nice outdoor party with several areas: one remember trance (the stuff Tekk is talking about, but also other old tracks), techno, new psy and some tekkhouse. It was just so great: I was always switchint betweent the remember floor and the psyfloor. And so were many others, it was just so great and I would really appreciate that when more parties like this take place. Or even parties with just one or two floors but with DJs playing different styles. -
Most Emotional Full-On Tune Evargh
Tatsu replied to Frontier Psychiatrist's topic in General Psytrance
Intergalactic - The Future That's what I call a very emotional and great full-on track!
